If you listen closely, towards the end of the track, it sounds like an emergency siren. Very subtle, but its there. These guys amaze me everytime I listen to them them. From the lyrics to the way they use sound and emotion. Amazing.
the single came out around the same time as jaws. they have a 10” vinyl with jaws and the way that you were. released for record store day around 2 years ago ish. very rare and hard to find now. i have 2 copies of it. 1 sealed. they are selling for crazy money.
Honestly, for me, Euclid and all of it's call-backs is what made me start to think that the majority of their songs are Vessel talking to himself (past, present and future selves) and only a couple of them are directed at other people. That plus the interlude messages they've been playing at shows talking about the struggle to love and accept himself being the path he walks down while making this music.
