Thank you for always including costs in your tours whenever you’re able to. So many RUclipsrs skip over that, and with everything constantly going up in price It’s great to have someone that will shoot us straight and tell us what things cost!

We rented a Trailer in Feb., came with a golf cart, it was wonderful! So beautiful and peaceful, ate at trails end, delicious, watched the fire works and water pagent, the pool was warm and fun, we would get off the bus after a long day at the parks, hopped right on our golf cart which was parked very close, a nice cool breezy ride back to our site,we loved it!

I too was there in the 70s. The tent sites were sand at the time which they raked often because of tire tracks. I still like sand better for ground camping. The wash house was air conditioned too!
We flew down rented a car to get to the camp ground and turned it in. We caught the regular bus back. The campground was not prepared for someone without a car to checkout! We came inside and were told we had to go back outside and go through the drive through. When I protested that I thought it was dangerous standing between cars inhaling exhaust fumes, I was told to get back in my car! I asked if we could leave the footlocker and the duffle bag inside! She finally figured out the problem and let us check out inside.
I remember there was transportation to the magic kingdom, by water. As well as the regular tram like vehicles that moved people around.

I have an SUV tent from Napier and camped out this last February. I thought I would be the only idiot camping out in the cold and it gets down to 45-50 degrees at night, but there were tons of tent campers. The WiFi is great! I have cots, brought a heater, electric grill, cozy sleeping bags - comfort stations were impeccable - Gonna do it again. Plus, hardly anyone on the ferry at night. And people were swimming in February!!

I've tent camped in August (survival of the fittest time) and February (quite nice). Cabins in October for a half dozen years. When solo, I tent. When with the family, I cabin or cheat on Fort Wilderness by staying over at Caribbean Beach. FW is my absolute favorite. Thermocell for bugs at the site -- keeps you from having to be all DEET sticky all the time. Tent camping is second nature for me. Newbies might not have a great time doing this :)

Literally at MCO now about to fly home after our Disney vacation.
First time it felt so different in a negative way. We hated Genie+. Even at 7am, the first LLs for Jungle Cruise were for times past 6pm. Bearing in mind a lot.of visitors will have jet lag for the first few days so early evening just isnt.doable but absolutely no morning slots. Buying Genie+ and then sitting on your phone from 06.55 am guarantees nothing. We travelled 4,500 and weren't able to get on JC, Tower of Terror or Pirates. We never faced this with Fast Passes and didnt have to spend an extra $90+ per day for fast passes like we did for G+. If you book your first LL at 7.00, by the time you can book your second there's very limited choice left. VERY limited. Disney's greed means we won't be coming back now after years of visits. Fact is - there's so much less on offer yet it costs so much more $$$$$$$

Dude, this made my day. I went to WDW for the first in the Spring of 1972 around Easter. I spent my honeymoon, almost 34 years ago there. As a kid we always stayed at Fort Wilderness. My 28 year old son's first big vacation was in Fort Wilderness at Christmas time. We drove from Virginia over night and got there at 6am to check in. I still have a video somewhere of him running around in the check in office in his footy PJS. We have not been there since the 2005. Wow this brought back so many memories. Whispering Pines Way and Palmetto Path were our camping loops of choice. I want so bad to bring that 28 year olds family and the 26 years old daughter's family there to enjoy that place. As much as the upper management of Disney has gone so far away from Walt's original dream and gift, that place still seems like the magical place I remember. Thank you for this.

We have done 2 trips to WDW. The 1st we did it big 5 nights 6 days thought we stayed at POP Century. Then we did a very quick simple camping trip of 1 day park and 2 nights tent camping. It was SO much cheaper and motivated us to come more often, so we got a fixer upper pop up camper. Sadly, then came Covid and we haven't been back yet but we plan on a trip soon. We LOVED the campground! It was quiet, lots of things to do, gave Disney magic for less money, and the boat trip to MK is the best way to travel.

It was SO FUN it was difficult to get motivation to get to parks. The boat ride to MK or resorts was AWESOME though and the boat captains (used to anyway) time rides around MK fireworks-like having a private charter but better as was already included in price.

Just wanted to mention, this was 3rd week of may. It's the last few weeks of the dry season before the overnight temps are too high to tent camp. Very hot afternoons but chilly comfy overnights. I don't recommend May to October for someone new to tent camping but it's very easy to find air conditioning or ways to cool off if you get a few toasty afternoons.

We used to camp at Fort Wilderness many times back in the late 70's -early 80's and it was awesome. They also used to have the Ft. Wilderness Rail Road which traveled around the camp ground, it's a shame they did away with it as it was fun to ride it as a kid. River Country was a fun water park that existed back then also. Btw that DVC resort "Reflections" construction site was the actual site of River Country. Sadly they have cancelled the construction of Reflections.

Avoid anything below 4000ft or south of Chicago in the summer without a plug in and an air conditioner. Have a home built Promaster, got a portable AC and made a window adapter for the exhaust tube for Disney camping the first few days of May and I needed it. The tent camp sight have electric and water, they are nice sights, warning the carts almost cost as much as the sight and the bus isn't bad. Personally I would not go to the parks June, July, August and the hell on earth 100+ and humidity experience. At $100 a night it is a nice spot on a Florida/Orlando trip, you could go to the free area or go to other attractions. At night take the boat, bus, monorail for the night shows that are visible from outside, if you are into camping it is a nice place to stay to do things around Orlando. The Magic kingdom show is visible from the doc area and Epcot show is visible from the pond by the Dolphine.
