Hop in the cab or sorting alley with Cole, Brian, and Jeff, to see how life really is for the people that help feed the US and the rest of the world. to be able to work with family like that is most peoples dream.. You two are a lucky father son. Love watching.
This video is the epitome of what it takes to run a successful cow calf operation. Take notes boys and girls because these Sonne boys are extremely good at it.
I don’t normally leave messages like this because I usually like to have a laugh and rib Cole as you know but the weather over here especially in Scotland has been really really bad and lambing season has been brutal (go watch some of the sheep game latest videos to see) so wondered if you and viewers could send up some prayers with me that the weather improves and lambing mortality decreases for these poor farmers working all hours to look after their flocks. Thank you 🙏🏻 xxx
🙏 prayers for fair weather and many blessings 💖.....for you and your country men.... prayers from SE. Louisiana
❤🙏 for the blessing of good weather, many healthy lambs and much needed rest for the farmers putting in long, hard hours! 🐑🐑🐑
Nice check. Now you can pay your bills and yourself. Good to see Jeff again. You guys work hard and deserve the reward.
"Look at all the money I have"...buys fertilizer..." dang now I'm broke"..😂
yea
Money in and money 🤑 out....... That's a fact of life......
I was in Mitchell, SD today and had a chance to drive past the homestead. Ellie even chased us! Really enjoy the content.
shes a big bad guard doggie
Ellie like stranger danger.
Gots to protect my farm
A lot of hard work in Ranching, good job Cole and Brian.❤
Long hard days working, endless hours taking care of your cattle, sleepless nights during calving season, and the great feeling of getting a check make it all worth it. Congrats 👏
I love watching the way you take such great care of your cattle. Thank you and bless you!
I like the way that you take care of your little calf. He now has a fighting chance. I have respect for you in taking care of all your herd. God bless all of you.
In humans that IV is called a "banana bag" usually given to the alcoholics and druggies to help with the electrolyte imbalance. Happy to see you made it to your 100th clave.
Cole & Brian make a good mother........they really love their cattle
Uncle Jeff raises the quality of every video he appears.
That's cause he is the cutest of the 3!!!!!!
@@kathyguenther5866 That's how I started to watch this channel....it was Uncle Jeff who first started to put these videos out ..... uncle Jeff is a smart business man.......
Absolutely love uncle Jeff! And when he and Brian are together it’s great. Goodness knows how their mum put up with them I could imagine being quite a handful at times x
All in all a good day Cole / Brian believe spring has sprung.
I really hope no one has EVER accused you of not caring for your livestock, with the time and effort you put into the ones having trouble it's obvious at least to me that you care very much for every one of them. thanks for sharing and helping to educate those of who don't farm livestock for a living :)
For Uncle Jeff!!
Thanks!
I see Cole has a new pet. I see he’s feeling it too, as long as it doesn’t step on your junk. 😂
I love y'alls videos so much...I sure hope little fellow gets better. A big thank you to the both of Sonne mens. Great job guys
I always enjoy hearing medical information. Keeps my ears perked up! ---I sure hated the spring slush when I had to walk to/from school in ND. When living in Albuquerque, it was negligible after the few big snow storms. My rain ended this morning. Back to pulling weeds tomorrow. Hope this one doesn't impact your area, but it sounds like it'll be another rough one farther south of you folks.---Congrats on the paycheck! I know just how fast it disappears...I just paid to have my house painted, THEN the 40 y/o freezer bit the dust, AND the blower switch went out on the 50 y/o furnace, AND the antifreeze reservoir on my 16 y/o Volvo sprung a leak & I had to rent a car until the new one could be ordered and installed. Phew...all in one week. Looking forward to what's next with you folks.
I don’t miss the ND winter weather either!
Glad you got the stroopwafels nearby, the Netherlands is a long drive i can tell you, thanks and greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
Congrats on reaching 100 calves. Nice to see Cole have a little walk-around money!!
Thanks for another great video Cole and Brian.
It was interesting and informative and enjoyable.
Cole, glad you did well with the sale of your cattle. You work hard and are most deserving. Good going Cole.
Glad the vet could treat that calf while he was there. Hopefully the calf will be feeling better soon.
How did the calf come out from last week that seemed to not warm up. Believe you took it to the vet.
Hopefully that calf got to doing better and is back with its mom.
Sounds like your vet checks went ok and will be breeding them.
Congratulations Brian and Cole for the 100th calf born this calfing season. Enjoy your shot of whiskey. Great teamwork Brian and Cole. You both are great herdsmen!!!!!!!
About it I guess. Thanks for everything Cole. Take care and be safe.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
I thought you bought the hand milker last year to make this job easier. So evident how much you care for your livestock
Brian, another great song of the day, bravo! ❤❤
Loved this video. I loved when the vet was getting all the equipment ready for the IV, it brought me back to my days on the IV team at the hospital where I worked. This video again shows how much the Sonne's care for their herd. Loved how Cole was affectionally feeding the calf. Great day for one and all!!!!!!!!!🐄🐄🐮🐮
Yes a lot of the drugs we treat animals with are developed from human drugs... it's totally amazing.
I dreamt of having cattle like y’all push out the door ❤
That calf, 435, is a pretty looking calf. Reminds me when I was young, bottle feeding calves that had a hard time starting to nurse. But we always used the milk substitute and put another calf on the cow, so she would not dry up. Never took longer than a week for the calf to start nursing. Hope the calf is a fighter and starts feeling better.
Your videos are all great but this one showing the care you have for your animals is awesome . My brother just sold 25 of his black Angus last week and he had a pretty big smile . About time for you guys.
Congratulations, those are beautiful looking heifers, I like the little tuft of hair on their heads... Excellent job .
For all 3 of you... Nice to see that little one getting on its feet.. 💯
First comment and I SEE Uncle Jeff!!! Best video of the year in my mind Cole. He brings all the subs. Glad to see his out and about!!!!
“Want another one” that was perfect!
Appreciate the hard work, lots of things covered this video and entertaining as always!
“Should I hold the …, Yeah it would be …!” 😂😂
Congrats on your 100th Clave!!
Brain gets face slapped by a messy cow tail. Twice.
Cole: "would holding the tail help?" 😂
Watched this one again today and I happen to have a load of Zoetis for amarillo and hereford TX. Good outfit to haul for
It's fun to hear your thoughts and stories of growing up and how I can relate to the same thing. You can take the boys off the farm but you can't take the farm outta the boys
Congrats on a 100 guys!!
We had viral scours go through the farm 30 years ago. We treated like 350 out of 500 calves. One thing we found showed a good result was crushing half a dozen vitamin c pills in with the electrolytes
Congratulations Team Sonne Farms.
Cole your final class is only just begun, Dad, and Jeff have decades more knowledge to teach you.
Cole and Brian you two are like two in a pod! You care for your animals and go the extra mile for them. You are humane in everything you must do. I love your channel and look forward to it all the time. I missed seeing Ellie , Was she catching some beauty rest?
Congratulations, Cole, for a great sale, and for nursing a calf that might become a rocket scientist.
I hope you guys made some money. You certainly put in a lot of work.. Nothing is easy, but you make it look happy. Don’t stress it’ll all work out.😊
Cole, I hear ya. I just got a check for hauling some corn into the ethanol plant. I’m going to look at it for exactly 24 hours before depositing it to pay down the operating loan. 😂. Easy come easy go.
Great demonstration of a tube feed 👍
Ohhh mannnn you Sonnes show boatloads of patience and compassion for every new angus time turns for all creatures in your operation.. so great teamwork and the cows all cooperate in getting yhru your arrowquip.
I have to tell you i searched back on Brians great comments about the blue flapped Pride of the Farms waterer system you put in . Boy did i pay attention. If im ever later in my future with a speck of corrals and quarter or 2 im going with what works in intense cold dakota winters.
I could go onand on about how much i get from being a viewer of your poetic style and love of what you do day in and day out **!
HAPPY Spring ALL. ~ Alix former,SE North Dakota farm girl.
The answer is yes Cole. Anytime Dad asks if ya want another of the dust eraser you say yes!
Great video glad you made good on the cattle sale hope the calf improves
awsome video cole glad that calf is doing better thumbs up and shared
You two are hilarious sometimes. 🇨🇦❤️
Sure hoping that little calf bounces back for you guys. Lucked out that the vet was coming in for that day huh?! You bettcha. 🥰 We had no electricity yesterday due to our delightful 8" of heavy wet snow. Really cold today but in no time, we are supposed to be around 65. I swear, the weather has been so crazy that half our battles keeping the cattle healthy has been against an uncontrollable foe. Hope you guys might get some moisture out of the system we just had but let's pass on the 10 degree temps and 8" of the heavy snow. LOL! Really happy to see the kind of cattle prices you brought in! Congrats friends!
Enjoyed your video cattle look great excellent care. Have a great day.
Great job to Sonne farms good sale day good drink day. Healthy recovery for the calf. Can't wait for the next round of babies.
I dear father and son working together 10
As always i enjoy your videos so much. Thanks 😊
You fellers are very good at what you do.👍👍
I loved every minute of running cattle with my father only if f mom whould of not question the way dad did this or did that , she must have not been listening at breakfast three days prior when he and I looked at each other and knew how we were going to do it with out saying words
cole you should of took that check to vagas and doubled it, neighbor did that in the 1982 came home not to happy.
thanks for the idea
Congratulations on the 100th calf praying for the sick calf get well 60years ago I lived on a dairy farm I know and understand when a loss occurs it is hard take care
Congrats on the sale, that should help out, also love the song of the day. I hope the calf keeps improving, sometimes you never know, but with all you've done he should keep getting better. Good luck on all you got going on, thanks for sharing, I hope the rest of your week goes great.
Congrats on 100 claves. ;)
Hopefully the rain heading your way holds together to add more moisture to your pastures.
Nice looking calves!
Fantastic video, Sonne's. Great content. Really enjoyed it
nice check and sale thanks for making the video
Was I the only one that saw the Hawk swoop down as dad was picking up the cat 😮
I’m sure if you work out the math, paycheck/ # of hrs worked= -$2,000,000 per hour. Thanks to all the farmers for the hard work!
Thanks for another quality video.
Nice looking heifers.
Payday yes 😊 I had the same problem 😮paid on Friday but broke on Thursday 🤑Aloha from Hawaii 🤙🏽😎🌴
Hey Brian Sandi Brock in Canada has sheep and uses a hand milker with suction that seems like it would be really nice for you to use on the cows. Check it out you could contact her to see what sizes they have.
They bought one already
I’ll drink one with ya Brian.
I’m a fan of good whiskey and bourbon. Next time I go through Kentucky I’ll grab a bottle and leave it at Storla station next time I pass through South Dakota. You cans have 2. One for me. And one for you. Two Brian’s just spelt different.
Need more Jeff
Good one
Thanks for the tubing lesson. I did it wrong once. It was not good
Cheers. Good prices on calves.
Good video.
Thanks! And thank you for the gift the other day, delicious!
Try the product kick start for sick calves. It has worked really good for us. We use the optimizer gel. We heard about it through you. We've been using it for 2 or 3 years now. We are dairy though instead of beef.
Congrats on the great paycheck Cole! I love all of your videos and you guys crack me up every time. Love watching you both!
thank you!
I've often wondered why you never use a funnel to pour your ingredients into bottles or calf feeders?
How did that calf you put in the heater turn out?
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO COLE AND BRIAN 😊
After paying attention for a long time, I realized that your soil is so dark it must be very rich in topsoil and fertile, i never see so massive dark on lands
Hey Cole
Can you update us on that COLD CALF. The one in the hot box last week. Thx.
Very funny watching you two work! Brian getting swatted by the cows tail and then Cole concern about the Clave stepping on his junk, very humorous. But that mud was a 6 1/2
My wife and I were at the IFA store in Duchesne UT and she asked what all of the green things were. Well after watching your videos I could explain what we were seeing.
Glad to see the little calf is doing better ! 👍
Those are some GOOD looking heifers
Congrats on high prices and much deserved….of course that means the cost of everything ya need to buy will go up too!
I've had good luck with the durvet products . Durazyme and duralift is what use they put something in it to chase the teet
Congratulations on a good sale. One side of my family used to manufacture livestock feeding/watering equipment. My father-in-law would say that although he depended on producers for his livelihood, he never could understand how they held up under the risk of putting all their capital and labor into a living creature to eventually be sold at a price not determined until the time of sale. My side of the family were the producers. I would always say, "Yup, you just can't know until you've lived it."
You can put iv fluid under the calfs skin it works well
Congrats on hitting 100 calves! A lot of work and worry to get there.
Really hope that calf with the scours comes around quickly and will be the one of the few. Im praying that all your cattle bring top dollar and I really am looking forward to ordering some Sonne beef for the holidays. Christmas prime rib from Sonne Farms would be a great gift to us.
The calf treated in this video, is that the one that was in the calf warmer in the last video?
nope
What happened to the calf that was born in poor health and Brian took to the vet? Did I miss it somehow?
Super fun vlog❤❤
With enough green boat paddles Brian could rule the world.
Hey Cole, we’re in Utah but we have two A5 wagyu steers in the freezer, would love to ship you some of it for a swap for some of your prime Somme farms beef this fall. We’ll be buying some of yours to try anyways
Great video Cole Brian and Jeff
congrats on the 100 clave. i have asked before but is that Templeton Rye?
not sure
What no red lights going to the Dr
