- Today (2/4)! It’s a special day! IT’S THE 11TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE AIRING OF THE ANIME PANDORA HEARTS! XDXD (No it has nothing to do with this weird anniversary, I just wanted to do this song cover 😂)
There are plenty of other covers of this on RUclips but I still want to sing it because I really like this song and because I think this is a very emotional song and even if I don’t have the best vocal skills, I don’t think the emotions I poured into this is worthless. I also used really little reverb because, again, singing this song, a song from Pandora Hearts of all things, is not just about singing it well. (Yes I have a grudge against famous cover singers with zero emotions)

I don’t know if this was your intention but it’s really “breathy” (I dunno how to phrase that properly) but the way you sing it makes it have so much more emotion, the way your breathing works it sounds as though... you’re panting? Is that the word I want to use? And it works really well with the song because it sounds as though you’re desperate. It gives off a vibe of someone whose yearning something. Dunno if that’s what was being pulled off but either way, it works!

The breathy thing is half-accident and half-intentional 😂 Accidentally realised that breathy works great and then intentionally continued to do so.

I never had proper singing lessons so the emotions I pour into it is the only thing I can be proud of, I’m glad you can feel it too 😆 This song is supposed to be related to love and yearning, as well as losses. In my interpretation, I believe the song is the self-comfort someone is giving to themselves after they lost someone they loved.
Pandora Hearts really great honestly. The manga is the first thing that made me cry in a while. The characters are beautifully written. Every single one of them have a story and a personality. The anime has music composed by Yuki Kajiura and a very, very talented voice cast including Minagawa Junko, Hanazawa Kana, Ishida Akira, Toriumi Kousuke, Fukuyama Jun and Kawasumi Ayako. Now it has surpassed Fairy Tail and became my second favourite anime/manga. Therefore I really recommend it if you two have some time on hand recently.
