@@razor6827 providence. Middle top. Midgame base that is positioned well enough with just the right potential set up to run a full community if you want. My 1st playthrough it was the second base I went to and didn't realize how much better it was till later. I stayed there a long time and built up my community to 9 or 10 before I moved to lumber yard. But it gave me the wrong impression of bases because of how well things went there
The built in infirmary saves what 50 building mats at the cost of 1 a day though. Pretty solid. Also on Xbox grill stuff up is one food for 15 morale. Not sure if that changes much.
I think that'd matter more on an earlier game base. When you're ready to move into the Farmland Compound, you are ready to make a large materials investment. But, when the base is fully upgraded, another -1 is another -1. It'll always be a penalty against it.
@@CocoanutVA yea but staging area takes up a space to save some materials. you can get a materials outpost get it up to 3 or get a recycling book to cover it instead of a large plot
I just wish you could do a feast at the grill. I kike the kitchen buffs for my LZ forever community. But, still my top base, baring the influence farm that is Whitney Field.
The problem with beds is just that there is like only a handful of ways to make them efficient and either it's bases that have those passive beds that take up no space like the the cargo fort, the summer camp, or the cabin motel, the lounge and officer quarters, have characters that are -1 bed or characters that can provide beds without being a detriment to the community.
Not a good investment since you just get 7 morale per bed. That's basically nothing. A single latrine would give you 10 morale per person which would instantly be superior.
When's the last time I used a stamina item? That wasn't me accidentally hitting the button? And do you watch my hardcore Twitch playthroughs without pyrolauncher, impaler, or boons? I don't use stamina items there either. I keep them on me just in case, but I have like 15 energy drinks now from game start because you don't need to use stamina items. If you're chugging energy drinks left and right, you're not playing efficiently and are medicating your playstyle with energy drinks.
@@GitGudFox I understand but on the other hand stamina is very important and having energy drink is very good for not taking damage in the first place, and that’s the way I just like playing the game, and he said that the ONLY thing the kitchen is good for is morale, and I said that’s not true, everyone has different ways to play the game, and your way of the game is probably really good, because you barley have any deaths in all your lethal play throughs, and I had only one death ever on lethal zone and that was because of a bug, so yeah it doesn’t matter how we play the game as long as it works
Except they're not very important. I literally show that you don't need them. I go entire playthroughs without using stamina items on Lethal Zone, fresh starts. I may use 1-3 stamina items in a playthrough at times. They are useful, and you should have them just in case, but they are not [[[very important]]]. This is like saying "stealth is very important." It's useful, but it's not essential or vital. You can absolutely play from a Lethal Zone fresh start without dying or even choosing the Stealth skill. It's not even a challenging or hardcore decision either.

Hey Fox I think you ment to say "The only base ON THIS MAP with 4 large slots" 11:04 Because I think you forgot Lundegaard Lumber Mill, although technically you are right, as Lundegaard Lumber Mill has 5 large slots not 4. :P
The built-ins should be removable. Even if they gave you some kind of build speed nerf or some other nerf. They should still allow you to do it. Cause that backyard grill is just bad. The beds are awful as well... I do like having outdoor small slots though...
Built-in facilities are pretty much the only reason why most bases aren't particularly customizable. UL says they think bases would be too cookie cutter without built-ins, but with built-ins, you just go down the list of the good facilities in descending order and build them.
It always reminds me of that short story in 1947 "Robots" when people say "For the Algorithm" As the scientist that built the robots says it at the end.
Maybe the not being able to dropkick with a heavy weapon is for realism? How possible would it be to do that move irl while carrying a "sledge hammer"? Of course why? There's so much stuff you can do that completely ignores realism. Just saying...
While it could be possible for that reason... how realistic is it to just put an entire sledgehammer in your backpack to then be able to dropkick before re-equipping it?

Took me a moment to get the hang of it, but now I'm not going back to any other chat service.
I wish you would make more SOD2 videos. I love those. Love you, my brother.

Ah, farmland compound. Great position, great stats and overall best value endgame
💯 Probably the 2nd best base in the game!

Lack of road kill my interest
It IS a great base otherwise, but I prefer driving on the road
I believe that the grill gives +10 morale if you have cooking and +15 if you have cuisine.
👍 that sounds fairly accurate.

I'll be honest. I just ignore the beds altogether.
safe areas only prevent spawns in said area - that said CLEO can smack them from orbit if installed lol
It was mostly a joke about the term "safe" area.
@@GitGudFox yeahhh I want that security deposit back lmao
Simply my fave base in the entire game. Location alone is perfect.
It might be the only max size base in the game that is in the middle of the map.
If I don’t build beds they start bellyaching, which is annoying to me
I have like tuned it out over the years.
I usually just get the 8 bed barracks for beds and have one character with sleep psychology
Not a good investment since you just get 7 morale per bed. That's basically nothing.

When confronted with a useless Kitchen just add a Slow Cooker...10 morale for 1h at the cost of only 1 food.

Well for the BBQ, having someone with cuisine would make it +10 morale for 30 mins, tho still hardly worth it Fox
On that note, plugging that countertop oven u have with cuisine around also makes it +10 morale too
