Hello! Two things you brought up today I would like to know more about. I would love to see you clean each others ears! And I would like to see the instruments you use. I see them in the ear, but would like to see the sizes and all about each. If you have such a video on them, please let me know which videos to watch. I am fairly new on here and became a member because I so enjoy your videos, your banter, and your lovely accents. I'm from Texas, USA and so enjoy listening to you!
@@juliegaal6727 Thank you. I will try to look for them. I wish I had links to them, but hopefully I'll be able to find them. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know!
@@AudiologyAssociatesUK It looks like you have touched on some of the instruments in some shorts. I can only go so far back on them, but will try to do a search for it. I love you guys! I went to my doctor recently, and had her check my ears, which were clean and healthy. I have been taking your advice and not using Q-tips except for the outer ear cleaning.
Excellent work, gentlemen! Taylor’s recess maneuver was a joy to watch. And Rhys, I think wax shivers in its tough old boots when you enter the exam room. You both are masters. 🙂
I’m not sure what episode it is, I believe one of the specials ending in 00 or 50… but , there is a video of Mr. Green cleaning Mr Barber’s ears. And he explains what he is feeling while it’s happening. Been a long while and would love to see a new one happen.
Neel's Rai tools are made from carbon fibre, iirc, so they're more rigid than the usual plastic. I think Conor's Cawthorne hook (from memory he uses a size 6) is so thin that even carbon fibre wouldn't be strong enough. If they're mostly used by surgeons whose tools are autoclaved, stainless steel would be better anyway.
I have been watching the videos since 2016, compared to other channels doing the same procedures, AA videos do not lull me to sleep. Cheers to Mr. B and the lovely T.G.😊
Thanks for another great video Rhys and Taylor. Nice to have you two together on video. You both had challenging ear wax removals plus Taylor had some wax peeling. You both did a great job for the patient. Very professional work from both of you. Thanks. Iowa State here. Steve. 😊👍🙏💕✅🇺🇸
What a fantastic idea! Let’s vote to guess which one of you guys has the most ear wax! That would be so much fun!! I can’t wait. I love the banter and love when you use the tools.
It still amazes me after all this time of following you guys, how much wax and keratin can come out of such a small space.... I love watching you two together. You have great banter along with so much mutual respect for each other...x
Recess peels are my favorite. I love to see the amount that pulls out! Also the 2nd one of yours, Rhys, reminded me of an ooolllld one of yours where the earwax was like slabs of wax into if slabs. I may try to find it and mention it to you in a message do you can re-see it. It was so odd.
❤❤ Great video with lots of different and difficult ear wax. The two of you do such good work while makeing sure the patient is ok. Thank you. M from USA NH
Y'know one thing I've learned is that my ear wax is fairly healthy. It's not a weird dark color, comes away easily with minimal efforts, and I can hear spectacularly (also I protect my hearing from loud engines if I was to be near them like a lawn mower when cutting the grass). So it's nice to know I'm not too bad off but also that the people featured get some help for ear related issues that deal mainly with dead skin and stuck wax,
I love the recess peels, and Taylor seems to specialize in them! I'd definitely like to see the insides of all of your ears as well, plus ruler shots! Anyway, great jobs as always, and best wishes from rainy Seattle! 🌧
I’m obsessed watching you two! I can’t handle when someone has earwax coming out their ears. I always wonder, can’t they feel that? Your ears are so important to take care of and people just don’t do it.
My boss is a vet, who wears hearing aids. We also have an endoscope in the clinic, and when his ears get blocked, he uses the endoscope to see what’s in his ear. I once told him that it was skin, and he was aghast as he does not believe that our ears have skin in them! I would love if you could say specifically that yes, our ears indeed have skin in them
1 1/8” first ear an 1 7/16” on the second. Both of these ear clearances were great to watch. I’ve been watching these for years and I find them fascinating. As far as I know my ears are still fine (fingers crossed) as the only issue I’ve ever had was sometimes it’s almost like I can hear someone using a dog whistle lol. But great video and can’t wait for the next one 😊
Well Taylor do ask Conner tor the cawthorn hook he was a big fan of it , as well was Richard ! Splendid removal guys and can’t wait for the next life !!! 😜 See you soon guys and have a good night 🌙 🇧🇪😘
I actually just watched a Nurse Richard video today where he was talking about Connor's customized hook. He got himself one and said it was really helpful and comfortable to use. Perhaps Connor could tell you which company he purchased his from so that the 2 of you can try it out? Btw, I'd love to see y'all clean one another's ears as other people commenting have said. It would be highly enjoyable and appreciated! 💙💚🤘🏻
How did you learn how to do this in school? Did you have mannequins or some other way to practice, or did you have to learn more during early clinical experience on patients?
Hello guys, I looooove the skin peels off the sides of the ear,,I'm sitting on the edge of the chair in a state of suspense watching to see is It or isn't it going to come away, my whole body is nearly clenched, and, will we see all the peeling, it's gripping stuff, no pun intended lol
Had a hearing test recently where I found out one ear is perfect and other is like a 70 year old. I initially thought wax buildup but audiologist said it was clean. Should I push GP for a ENT specialist appointment for more investigation?
I've been watching for years and notice that Mr. Rhys's sleeve tattoo has been progressing. I'd love for him to show his tattoos, explain the meaning, and tell us what the plans are going forward. Also, does Taylor have any tattoos?
I've enjoyed your videos for a while. I've "liked" several, but the reminder is still helpful. Oddly though, I still hadn't subscribed, but I have now. So, saying it is effective. Also, I bought one of those devices to see down my own ear canal, and I was quite disappointed that they were appropriately clean (despite my occasional "cotton bud" use), my eardum safely intact and by any measure healthy. Very underwhelming, so I guess allergies are the culprit for my itchy ears lately - how disappointing and anticlimactic!
Hi guys! from Colorado. I don't know how to ask this. How much "sucking" pressure is used with the standard and the fine tip? I mean its not like a vacuum cleaner :)
I miss the old videos where you could hear the slurping sounds of the suction. But I do like the commentary. Perhaps layer the two or just play the suction noises occasionally! Thanks!
You should be able to make the tool with a CNC machine. It might pay off to purchase a small one and make custom tools in your office as long as the material can be sterilized.
DEEEEEEEP!!!!!!! Quick question, how & when did you both decide to clean ears for a living? Did you just fall into it or just kinda wake up one morning and think yes! this is what I want to do?❤❤
Although it’s not something I’ve ever had a problem with I was told years ago that as someone who wears bilateral hearing aids I might be prone to wax build up and wondered why?
I'm also a bi-lateral hearing aid user & while, when my ears are checked I'm told they're clear, the build up could be due to the skin not being able to migrate out because of the aids.
That might be the longest ear hair I've ever seen. You know what would be fun? I know you guys do Waxvent, which I love, but I think you should do an "awards show" every year with categories like "Longest Skin Ribbon," "Deepest Wax Plug," etc. 😂😂
Question for you guys: Is it okay to shave the outside of the ears? Because, man, do I ever see some bushes on this channel! It seems like when it's bad enough, it hinders getting the wax/skin out cleanly.
I never get cheesed off 😂when you have to say like heart share etc… How else do people know how they can help support the channel? I know how hard you two boys work to bring good interesting and educational as well as entertaining content for us! Anyone who gets cheesed off…well THEY can cheese off. 😇😂🎉

Every time I get my doctor's to check my ears & I been to an ENT and I live in the United States and we do not have places like ours because there is no wait to see the ENTs but I digress the doctors tell me have have no wax or dead skin in my ear but I do get a sticky clear invisible substance on a q tip and yes I know not to clean my ears with q tips but it's the only thing I can use to get this clear sticky clear invisible substance out of my ear & it helps when ear itches, but my question is: is it normal not to produce earwax? & Where does my dead skin go when doctor's say they don't see that either? & What is the clear sticky invisible substance? My Ent couldn't tell me
Really do not understand how all these people have so much ear wax build up. I am 64 years old & never had any type of ear wax removal. My ears are very clean they say.
The interaction between you 2 is amazing. You compliment eachother so well and are very funny and informative too

Rhys did some shorts on the commonly used tools. It was about a year ago, so they're a bit further down the list of shorts. :)
How do you avoid touching the drum when you’re that deep??

I'd love to see a video of all the tools you use. They always seem so much larger than they actually are, and it'd be nice to see them in perspective.

Some good ear bacon on the first ear at the end.
