Nah Ariana isn't as good anymore. She can't control her voice as she could before since she hasn't had a vocal coach in the past few years. It's been getting more strained than her first few years of her courior. I'm not saying she isn't a good singer, just that she's overrated and not my cup of tea.☕

i know this was posted like 2 years ago, but i just came across this video now. anyways, here's my opinion: - demi vs lisa = demi as far as emotion goes (that's why her breath support wasn't as strong as usual) and lisa for vocals (because she had the breath support to make the notes clearer). - christina vs lisa = i think lisa won this one because her voice seems more comfortable in the register. christina's voice is an alto to a lower mezzo-soprano belt while lisa is a high mezzo-soprano to a soprano belt. human is one of the few christina perri songs that goes into the higher belt register. - miley vs lisa = i think lisa won this one as well. i'm not exactly sure why... maybe it was because of the dancing and moving around and she was out of breath... but miley fell flat on some notes in the video. - jessie j vs lisa = this one was tricky because jessie j is more vocally trained by just being older than lisa. jessie put in her own runs and riffs in while lisa straight toned it, though lisa's was clearer. therefore, i'm calling this one a tie. - ariana vs lisa (pt. 1) = i have to go with ari on this one. ari has a unique technique to getting to those high notes she hits. it seems like ari's notes are more breathy and spacey which makes me believe she has a really strong and clear head and mix voice. lisa is trying to belt (chest voice) ari's higher notes so it fell a little flat the second time she sang "i got". - ariana vs lisa (pt. 2) = again, ari's voice technique is unique and can't be compared to. although, i gotta give some credit to lisa on absolutely crushing it with trying to belt it all without flipping registers. also, lisa's voice seemed a little raspier in this video, but i kinda liked it haha. overall, i think lisa's vocals are amazing no matter what. as a singer myself, i know i am a natural mixer and i wish i had lisa's ability to belt that high. lisa's voice is super powerful and super clear, but it's always hard to choose in a comparison video because each singer is going to have a different voice that is unique to their own selves. as vocalists, there is no "right or wrong" technique... there's only healthy and unhealthy. all singers should have a healthy technique, but no technique is wrong. since vocalists use their own bodies as their instruments, most technique comes from what is most comfortable and produces a nice and clear sound, which varies depending on each singer.
