@AstrocatGraphicsVideos The guy behind Threat Interactive likes picking fights online from what I've seen. He pushes tabloid tier, bad faith ragebait content, so not surprising.
YT is very weird and draconian about comments. I'm surprised more people don't know this. Half of the stuff you post will never show up for anyone other than you. There are a bazillion ways to annoy the moderation AI. Being aggressive, naming a certain very large adversarial trading "partner", talking about any culture other than the west's, etc., can all get you silenced. It's like living behind a very good firewall, one that might even be labeled as "great". 😉 You need to be super careful, which is what they want.
As long as every single person that paid a higher price for anything Nintendo receives a refund for the difference plus interest, I'm fine with it. Otherwise it's double dipping and they should be eliminated from the ability to exist in this plane of existence.
@somebunnyracingevery single video is sponsored, he is doing it for money, it would only take a few complaints to the sponsors before they would just not want to attach their brands to this level of propaganda and rage bait.
@ihatesnickersTSD Some of what he says regarding game optimization in the industry is definitely valid. Especially on a technical level. But he seems to be saying dumber and dumber shit outside of that much more frequently nowadays.
@TechnoMinarchist yeah I'm kind of pissed about that too. Like I used to be able to get 256GB for pretty cheap, now if I want that for my 3DS or a gift 3DS I have to pay a lot more
It is literally, by definition, a cartel. "A group of businesses or nations that collude to limit competition within an industry or market."-Wiktionary.
They're likely American and think the cartels are specifically the guys smuggling into the US across the southern border. That's the primary use of the term here.
It's hilarious when you said, "American Psycho" because when you said threat interactive the first thing I thought of was, "oh you mean the GPU American psycho guy?"
built a nas with 4TB Seagate disks two years ago I think. Those same exact disks now cost almost 2x more. Fuck this entire industry, I'm gonna buy some books.
@GamersNexus I bought 4 RAM kits and 4 SSDs in October for building my new proxmox cluster. if I sold them now I would make $2500 on the ram and $1300 on the SSDs. That's profit not total. It's ridiculous. HDDs have almost doubled in price. Used ones are getting close to new ones in price.
I had forgotten about that guy. I once tried to watch one of his videos to understand, what he was on about. And then what he wa son. And then I lost interest and blocked him.
If he actually has the stones (certainly not the brains) to do so. Dude either didn’t do his research before making that ‘market slaves’ statement, or throughout a bunch of better known channels in the space in an attempt to start drama and ultimately get more eyes on his content. That’s slimey enough, but the false DMCA claims put him in the same tier of scumbags as Bloomberg. If he’s as smart as he tries to portray himself as, he’ll back off before he becomes (one of) Steve’s personal project(s).
@technomancer2858 As far as I'm aware, he doesn't protray himself as smart, he even admits to not being a game developer and not actually knowing a lot of what goes into game development. Which definitely explains a lot of his contraversial statements, which most agree come from a lack of industry knowledge
it is super impressive to me how the GN team is able to produce long form documentary style videos one week, and then switch right back to the standard GN HW news videos. I know they’re all probably worked on simultaneously and just appears more binary from the resulting videos, but to me that’s just even more impressive!
It's actually pretty synchronous! Although the writing is happening simultaneously often, yeah. Really fun though, I love it. We have a good team built for the different types of edits where everyone has developed a specialty.
That guy (from Threat Interactive) is weird, but his content is kinda interesting too. He's definitely not completely full of shit, but he is DEFINITELY prone to exaggeration. He also has a nearly constant angry and overly serious tone, and is also constantly portraying himself as extremely confident about everything he says, which is definitely a red flag. His is arguments certainly seem to be often very well constructed, and while I don't claim to know whether or not a lot of what he says is accurate and sound, he certainly seems to know what he's talking about at least some of the time, but it's also clear that he's prone to exaggeration. He is portraying what he's saying as if he's uncovering some kind of horrible conspiracy. I could understand being angry if he had found proof that corporations were knowingly selling products which cause cancer, but having your game being less than perfectly well optimized is not a serious problem which threatens the health of consumers, and is not something to be quite so upset about! 😅 Also, you have to consider the fact that game developers do not have any strong incentives to not try to make reasonable attempts to optimize their games, which is a fact which seriously undermines any argument that there's some sort of big conspiracy going on. Sure, bureaucratic inefficiency is likely to blame for a lot of less than optimal decisions regarding how high of a priority is put on good game optimization, but this is a common problem in corporations in general. Making games is really hard, but the developers themselves are usually very hard working, and not lazy at all. In my opinion, the bigger problem with game executives is that they don't give enough creative control to game designers and game directors, and also that they also don't properly appreciate the importance of risk taking and experimentation in the development process. They need to invest more money into developing and testing out new game concepts and game mechanics, without necessarily always needing every project to justify itself with a final finished product.
@syncmonism Honestly as as engine dev, not game dev, his technical points are very good. And for that reason I can tolerante his behaviour. Like GN said above, you just ignore the BS he talks. But abusing DMCA is a whole other level, i dont think its acceptable at all and for that reason i would not recommend anyone watch his content being good or not.
Yeah, I wish Threat Interactive just stuck to his content because he does make some good points about graphics tech going the wrong direction. But going after tech RUclipsrs who have been pro-consumer for a long while is not helpful.
Games stopped rendering at native resolution 15 years ago. He's not wrong to be mad about it, but nothing is going to change until CEO's stop forcing crazy visuals and allow teams to generate their own task lists.
It's really good that he does what the title says. Unlike Hardware Unboxed where you hardly ever see hardware being unboxed or Digital Foundry which contains 0% metalworking content.
Please keep up the big documentaries! Also appreciate showing the behind-the-scenes of the mouse mat - most people don't get to experience the 3D environments we create to make final 2D images, but you gave us a nice little flythrough.
Chances are its Nintendo that will win, The supremes last week ruled that the tariffs are illegal, null and void, subject to appeal. Which most likely will not work.
What makes you think anybody "wins"? Nintendo America are tactically on attack here because they are owned by NOC (Nintedo of China, the father company who coincidentally are OWNED BY THE CPP the enemy of America). This is insane from Nintendo UNLESS it's part of a war strategy by China. Any other reason for this is SUICIDALLY DUMB. And that's why my money is on Chinese AOW aggression towards America at the worst possible time. (AOW = Art Of War : read it for more details).
@Alvarocious you are not getting what I am saying. Nintendo have no intention of this arriving in a court-room. This is the beginning of a looong expensive painfully tortured negotiation which they will hope ends in OUT OF COURT SETTLE. But the real goal is just to screw over America because Nintendo is owned by Nintendo Of China the enemy of America. They know EXACTLY what they are doing here. I mean look at the only guy who criticised me and tried to call me an AI bot. Probably using AI himself because I have 1000 videos over 5 years showing I am a regular dude in England and not a Russian spyware lol guys insane. He is ... what do ya know a Chinese Yu-Gi-Oh specialist at the age of 40. If that doesn't set alarm bells ringing, then I don't know what to tell ya buddy! This is a clear AOW strat against America and it ain't gonna go well for Nintendo I can tell you that for free.
The thing is, they probably didn't pass 100% of the bill so I am fine with then getting the part that they paid for and the lawyers. But the people who bought it should get the rest. At least in store credits!
Steve isn't just defending himself; he’s defending the smaller creators who can’t afford to fight back against these baseless copyright strikes. This is exactly why GN is the gold standard for consumer advocacy. Keep the pressure on.
why do you assume this guy is right? TI has a right to copyright strike whoever the f he wants if they use his content. Those people he struck are idiots!
@ncd833j9 You can't just DMCA because someone is talking about you on their videos in a way you don't agree... That's called censorship, so yes, TI is abusing the DMCA system. If using DMCA in that manner was OK then Nintendo, Asus, Nvidia and many others would just constantly DMCA everyone and we wouldn't get any information. It's dumb.
one of the reason why I love GN videos isn't only how well they are made, but also one of few channels that actually actively following the case and not wait out on things settled down. it kinda give the feeling of how things "progressed" and not just a sums up XYZ cases
We still play Unreal Tournament 99 every night. Active servers are sniper, monster hunt, capture the flag, instagib, free for all DM and a few other unique types.
@saundby Now I'm feeling nostalgic, I had a Savage4 that could use the compressed textures on the second CD. Even at 640x480 to get a decent frame rate, the step up in fidelity back then felt like 4K does today... good times.
If Threat Interactive actually does have a lawyer then that lawyer should have mentioned that the penalties for false DMCA claims are cumulative. In other words that more such false claims they file the larger the punishment will be. Hopefully everyone will fight back because they will almost certainly win.
@sickratzz If TI does have a lawyer they might not have warned him specifically to exploit him, either way though his victims are entitled to compensation. If he's smart he will drop the false DMCA claims like it's highly radioactive. 🤣
It appeared an attorney was involved in the cease & desist harassment, but I'd assume not the DMCA takedown. Threat Interactive has left themselves wide open to both civil liability and criminal penalties (the later being highly unlikely). That, or in the greater likelihood where Threat Interactive is not a legal entity (a real game developer), the person with their name attached to the channel, making the false DMCA claims would be the one facing civil damages.
@George89999 The part where I say IANAL, and "I assume" in caps. If an attorney did help them with the DMCA takedown, I have no words. You couldn't ask for a better case for fair use, I would love to see the bologna in those claims.
Back when Regal Cinema asked you to "Please silence your cell phone.", and it was probably an OG brick or flip phone. Ahh, those were the days. Yes, Plus 1 on the POV ride through Andrew's render!
Man wtf I do?! I just be chillin & dey still kome 4 my head. Let’s not take kindness for weakness. Let this giant sleep. I beg u all. No one really wants destruction, not even me but I shall destroy if disturbed. On me. Love
That'd do what exactly? Nothing Nintendo would still be as extreme as they are because the laws for their IP and franchises globally favors extreme policing.
Disagree. A lot of lawyers do not play games on crushing labor unions, individual rights and taxation systems in order for corpos to eat all The money and dominate the world.
How has Threat Interactive not received at least a temporary ban for repeatedly abusing the DMCA system? Smaller channels have been completely nuked for far less.
It's great that Steve is so proud of his team and their efforts, and is showcasing them as part of the video. Like all the work done into that desk mat.
It's really good to know that there are people who care about the work they do and how they impact the world. Thanks Steve. Thank you GN crew. Thank you GN audience. :)
@davidforman6191 I believe that's the ruling that Ninty's case is based on, only the ruling hasn't been enforced as a certain person has control over the people who might make that happen. So Ninty might get some money out of it, but the average U.S punter will suffer for it even more. No matter who wins, your people still lose, sadly. ☹
A cartel just means a group of entities conspiring towards a goal. Maybe people think CRIMINAL cartel automatically, when they see the word? That means a group of criminals, or a mob/gang/mafia. There's a large workers union in my country called Cartel Alpha. It's a group of smaller workers unions.
"Nintendo the full time law firm" LMAO..... this made me sad, the nostalgia of 80s and 90s is the only thing that makes me hope for them to get it together
Nintendo have pretty much always been very pro-active when it comes to legal action. I mean they sued blockbuster for including replacement manuals with their rental games and they famously sued over the Game Genie.
@kamig2127Nintendo games are still pretty damn good. Last big company to understand not every game has to cost 3 quadrillion bucks to make, and focuses on smaller projects too.
1:26 Mostly unrelated to the rest of the video: I actually really like what Arctic is doing for this, to "verify authenticity". Sure, it might not be perfect, as you could potentially still have a few samples going through the net... But it's letting the customer make an informed decision: do you still use the paste, even if you know if it's fake (at the risk of getting lesser performance out of it), or do you decide not to and return it/file a claim for counterfeit goods? This is something that should be a standard way to deal with things, and not setting electronic chips to lock the consumer out of the choice entirely (looking at you, printer industry).
Ever consider doing a fly-thru movie of the wireframe mat Andrew makes in Blender? Sort of like a POV movie akin to the flying visuals in Tron (original)? ... Asking for a friend. 😜
There are.few things as satisfying as putting a bully in their place. Its why I hold steve and Louis Rossman as the best representatives on the tube. Keep it up
20:00 Hey, shout out to Jedi Academy. Had lots of fun on that game in the past. Made a few ex-friends on there way back then. I enjoyed trying out some of the custom maps like Jedi's home, the mansion with the self destruct button in the secret area, as well as some of the different skins and custom weapon mods. Though jedi's home 1 and 2's secrets were a lot harder to figure out, and probably only found a fraction of them back then. Sucked that siege wasn't very popular it was like battlefront back in the day but for some reason most players didn't seem to like it. Never got into movie battles mods though.
I like to imagine there's an epic rivalry between Nintendo's development and legal departments. Devs release Mario Bros Wonder, then lawyers are like "hold my beer"
24:34 LMAO as soon as you said catching strays, first thing I thought of was 50 cent waking up, then BOOM, there's the meme 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣elite meme knowledge GN team 👏👏👏
the Threat Interactive thing is pretty disappointing. I immediately clocked the guy as super dramatic and overzealous, but I did still find his videos pretty informative if I drowned out the aggressive parts of the commentary to focus on the actual technical talk. Was actually one of my first times learning about a step by step rendering call and how it works. Wish he would chill out and NOT illegally copystrike people
@JosephVanBrunning-t5c Ab-so-LUTELY! I have on occasion watched some of his vids and he makes some salient points and then it is like he huffs some crazy gas and just ***SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED*** is all I hear for five minutes. **sigh** It is so very disappointing that his involvement in a discussion can now remove respect or concern for the matters discussed.
@ncd833j9 I have no respect for [TI's] channel either, glad you agree. Last time I checked, having a different opinion doesn't equal being a liar or hater. If you have receipts to back up your claim that those channels were specifically lying then provide the evidence instead of just accepting what your idol tells you.
3d models used for taking 2d pictures were used even in the title picture in the original Unreal Tournament. You could enter cheat codes for no clip and even have a spawn bots to play a deathmatch.
I watch videos while eating breakfast, since I don't get a newspaper anymore. And at 15:35 the comment about talking about preparing to work nearly killed me.
Have you guys thought about creating a live wallpaper as well to go along with the mat? It looks super sick and kind of a shame that the 3D model can't be fully appreciated with the 2D print. You could probably even sell it for a couple bucks as a digital item as well.
Threat Intreactive - First, I initially had a lot of respect for his channel and his videos, especially because he was highlighting the shortcomings in video games and technology. He pointed out how studios often skip proper optimization, relying instead on shortcuts to try to monetize more quickly. I really respected that, especially since very few others were addressing these flaws. Second, however, his approach to these topics became increasingly aggressive and confrontational. In my view, this isn’t healthy in the long term, nor does it effectively communicate the issues. Instead of reaching a wider audience, it risks alienating people who might be more receptive if he were more objective. Finally, after this kind of behavior-specifically, his abuse of the DMCA to silence critics-he absolutely needs to face consequences. There should be real accountability for this kind of misuse, so it doesn’t set a dangerous precedent for other creators. Thank you Steve and your team for being awesome
Mate it was always a grift. The guy's been fundraising for his own "TAA solution" for ages with zero tangible results. It's telling that literally no one within game development, or tech media takes the guy seriously. His knowledge is hobbyist at best.
@Peepspainthe's given so many theoretical solutions to fix the issues, you clearly didn't watch any of his videos. And he doesnt even have a fund raiser, the patreon is just to support his videos
@mineatomtrcrazy the misinformation spread by bots about the guy for trying to lift the industry veil. But nah lets keep buying $2000 graphics cards to get 720p upscaled 50fps
@mineatomtrat some point theory’s have to fucking be put into PRACTICE. Or did you skip that part of school? Or did you just give him money and you’ve got Stockholm syndrome now?
Damn I thought that was about Frauditor Troll and DMA, didn't know there were more asswipes abusing DMCA like that... I like the idea of nuking them from orbit sometimes, I mean don't punch up when you're so clearly terrified of a possible response.

RUclips is notorious for not showing all the comments; why is Threat Interactive pretending they don't know that? 🤔
He probably is doing something himself with how he immeadiately went to it being deleted and not an reasonable explanation of YT being YT.
@AstrocatGraphicsVideos The guy behind Threat Interactive likes picking fights online from what I've seen. He pushes tabloid tier, bad faith ragebait content, so not surprising.

“Nintendo is suing the US government”
The unstoppable force sues the immovable object
hahaha, this is great
From all that nostalgia Nintendo been sniffing it was bound to happen. Don't get high on your own supply!
As long as every single person that paid a higher price for anything Nintendo receives a refund for the difference plus interest, I'm fine with it. Otherwise it's double dipping and they should be eliminated from the ability to exist in this plane of existence.
The ole "mosquito biting an iron bull" Zen problem lmao
I won’t be surprised if I hear an article saying that Nintendo is suing the world.
I can feel Steve grinding his teeth being called a marketing slave
If I hadn't laughed so hard when I heard it, I might have!
@GamersNexus
But you do make an effort to disprove that claim.
Not necessary for your audience, so i assume you do it for thread interactive.
The guy is 100% just posting this shit to get engagement. He's just a low tier troll.
@somebunnyracingevery single video is sponsored, he is doing it for money, it would only take a few complaints to the sponsors before they would just not want to attach their brands to this level of propaganda and rage bait.

14:43 ”anyone in the gaming space knows that; Nintendo’s lawyers don’t play games” had me spitting out my coffee 😂
In the News: RAM and SSD prices still batshit insane!
Is it really news if it's constant?! Find out next week!
more, at 11..
@GN at this point, the 'news' will be when the trend breaks. until then it's "the norm"
SD cards too. I bought 9 1TB SD cards last year for $69 AUD a piece. If I wanted to do the same today it would cost it me $3051 AUD 😂
@TechnoMinarchist yeah I'm kind of pissed about that too. Like I used to be able to get 256GB for pretty cheap, now if I want that for my 3DS or a gift 3DS I have to pay a lot more
I am so glad that clip of 50 Cent was used in that manner because that is the FIRST thing I thought of when Steve said he was catching strays
hahahaha
Editor needs a raise for that 50 cent how he used it 😂😂😂
@GamersNexusexcellent sentence mixing to whoever did that clip
Steve - I'm a lawyer. We pronounce it "Eye-ee-pah" too.
I heard it as "i.e. padoodies"
Disappointed Microslop is autocorrected in the captions back to Microsoft
Maybe we can slowly train it...
@GamersNexusmaybe an enterprising fan could create a subtitle track for every video, a la Critical Role?
At least they got the connection right ;)
@GamersNexus I do not understand. I have microslop extension. Everything is corrected to microslop for me.
I’m seeing people even on eBay call them Microslop. This needs to just become a permanent thing.
It is literally, by definition, a cartel. "A group of businesses or nations that collude to limit competition within an industry or market."-Wiktionary.

I recommend Neuromancer, Count Zero, and Mona Lisa Overdrive. :P
sheesh. Haven't looked at the 4TB HDD prices in a few weeks.
Yeah no kiddin' .
Scored a fourth and final x18 for literally twice the price as the first one
After all digital content is consumed AI companies will buy up all the books for additional data.
@GamersNexus I bought 4 RAM kits and 4 SSDs in October for building my new proxmox cluster. if I sold them now I would make $2500 on the ram and $1300 on the SSDs. That's profit not total. It's ridiculous. HDDs have almost doubled in price. Used ones are getting close to new ones in price.

you are lucky. Threat Interactive is currently busy writing a review for Userbenchmark.
@technomancer2858 As far as I'm aware, he doesn't protray himself as smart, he even admits to not being a game developer and not actually knowing a lot of what goes into game development.

That mouse mat render could make a sweet Q3 map.

Thank you for reporting about my Quake III Arena RTX Mod!
Is that you?! That's awesome! Great work. I'm planning to play it this weekend if I can!
Every time i read Quake III my brain autocorrects it to to Quake III Arena.
@GamersNexus yes its me haha, thank you! :)
Thank YOU for contributing and sharing good work. Epic!
It's awesome so far! I really don't like the quad damage screen effect though. But everything is looking great so far
1:20 does it taste any different compared to others ?
I've become partial to mx-5 over the years.
DO NOT EAT THERMAL PASTE!
@GamersNexus you can't stop me now
I love how these prototype consoles just stayed on the table after the documentary lol
I'm waiting for the Nintendo PlayStation to show up in the stack sometime.
I miss the wall of TVs with a random one not turned on or broke. ;)
That Threat Interactive guy is just living up to his name of keeping his interactions threatening.
Games stopped rendering at native resolution 15 years ago. He's not wrong to be mad about it, but nothing is going to change until CEO's stop forcing crazy visuals and allow teams to generate their own task lists.
hes got small pecker energy

@CyclesMcHurtz Just give him $900K bro, hes going to fix it all himself!
@CyclesMcHurtz That ship's sailed.
"Career executive" is not a phrase you want to be known as...
That 50 Cent edit was damn well brilliant. Thanks Steve!

Whoever wins in Nintendo vs USA - we all lose.
No we want Nintendo to lose this one. We lose more if they win and get to double dip out of public funds from what they already increased in price.
Chances are its Nintendo that will win, The supremes last week ruled that the tariffs are illegal, null and void, subject to appeal. Which most likely will not work.

And that's why my money is on Chinese AOW aggression towards America at the worst possible time.
(AOW = Art Of War : read it for more details).
The 'murican/Russian (is there a difference anymore?) AI bots are out en mass today, huh?
Steve spitting bars in the final segment of this video.
With all the strays you were catching, I was fully expecting a Cat Angels spot.
It’s not fair companies get to sue while WE fronted the bill to begin with
call me a warmonger all you want but this has hybrid warfare written all over it...
Why can't we sue over the emotional distress? 🤔
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@Itsgone99you might have a point there
It's perfectly fair, it's your elected government.
The thing is, they probably didn't pass 100% of the bill so I am fine with then getting the part that they paid for and the lawyers. But the people who bought it should get the rest. At least in store credits!
18:12 many hours spent and many late nights passed playing HOMM3...
@ncd833j9 False
@ncd833j9 TI in the comments
@ncd833j9 Bait used to be believable.
Ignore that guy. Gamers Nexus is the exact opposite of "marketing slaves"... GN are real gamers for real gamers
He’s *STILL* flexin‘ the devkits… (rightfully so)
The mouse mat 3D render in Blender looked so cool!
Just knowing that detail of the keyboard which we don't see on the mat! Kudos
I think threat interactive successfully ragebaited you into giving him 20+ minutes of your video time.
We still play Unreal Tournament 99 every night. Active servers are sniper, monster hunt, capture the flag, instagib, free for all DM and a few other unique types.
That's awesome!
Yo I've never played, but that's something special. I hope all of you can keep it alive into the future.
That's awesome. I guess I should pull my system with a Voodoo3 3000 out of mothballs!
You gotta open that server up to the rest of us plebs!
@saundby Now I'm feeling nostalgic, I had a Savage4 that could use the compressed textures on the second CD. Even at 640x480 to get a decent frame rate, the step up in fidelity back then felt like 4K does today... good times.
A substantial, 15 minutes helping of decimation for dessert.
If Threat Interactive actually does have a lawyer then that lawyer should have mentioned that the penalties for false DMCA claims are cumulative. In other words that more such false claims they file the larger the punishment will be. Hopefully everyone will fight back because they will almost certainly win.
True but then when it’s gonna come to actually fighting these claims the law firm will probably just milk his ass for money 😂😂
@drewnewby Thanks for the additional information!
@George89999 The part where I say IANAL, and "I assume" in caps. If an attorney did help them with the DMCA takedown, I have no words. You couldn't ask for a better case for fair use, I would love to see the bologna in those claims.
You should do an intro that does a POV ride through Andrew's render, just like the old Regal Cinemas rollercoaster.
Yes!! Thank you! :D
Yes please!
Instead of popcorn kernels popping, can we get bursting capacitors? 😂😂😂
Back when Regal Cinema asked you to "Please silence your cell phone.", and it was probably an OG brick or flip phone. Ahh, those were the days.
Yes, Plus 1 on the POV ride through Andrew's render!
Thanks for calling it Microslop.
Do your part and help train the chat AIs in this correction.
The long form stuff has been fantastic to watch. Thanks Steve and team. 2:30
Steve catching strays
Man wtf I do?!
I just be chillin & dey still kome 4 my head. Let’s not take kindness for weakness. Let this giant sleep. I beg u all. No one really wants destruction, not even me but I shall destroy if disturbed. On me. Love
"Nintendo's lawyers Don't Play Games" Love it. If only more lawyers played games, the world would be a better place.
I feel a future GN hot take on this one. Hmmmm
That'd do what exactly? Nothing Nintendo would still be as extreme as they are because the laws for their IP and franchises globally favors extreme policing.
Disagree. A lot of lawyers do not play games on crushing labor unions, individual rights and taxation systems in order for corpos to eat all
The money and dominate the world.
19:06 is there a pack of Additional Pylons?
your gonna need a 3d printer, its just a file, "Must CONSTRUCT Additional Pylons"
So close
lmao that 50 cent clip got me
30:33 Steve's avatar glitching out from sheer rage at being called a marketing slave, live capture, 2026 colorized
A sexbot just cloned your comment
LMAO
How has Threat Interactive not received at least a temporary ban for repeatedly abusing the DMCA system? Smaller channels have been completely nuked for far less.
i did notice the details on the mouse pad, did not expect the springs to be modeled
It's great that Steve is so proud of his team and their efforts, and is showcasing them as part of the video. Like all the work done into that desk mat.
Steve knows the way. 👍
It's really good to know that there are people who care about the work they do and how they impact the world.
Thanks Steve. Thank you GN crew. Thank you GN audience. :)
I love Games Nexus because it's run by real humans. Not greedy corpo wannabes.
Threat is such a fucking tool, jesus. Thanks for the HW news!
So corporations got hit with tariffs, passed the costs on to consumers, and then sued to get THEIR tariff payments back? Make that make sense
socialize the losses🤷🤷🤷
Was there not a court ruling that some tariffs were illegal?
It's a big club and you ain't in it.
Not a US citizen so not really relevant to me.
"nintendo sues US" oh i had to read that twice to avoid a heart attack
That's why Periods are useful in acronyms.
"Nintendo Sues the U.S." is more clear and concise.
In the next episode Nintendo will sue us all (Nintendo vs humanity)
"why are you fighting me for, I am blatantly on your side!" energy
Walks like a cartel, talks like a cartel, must be a cartel...
Or it must have been the wind
Remarks to itself that it is a cartel.
Same people running the show, only their brains are fried from decades of wealth addiction and senility.
Nintendo have pretty much always been very pro-active when it comes to legal action. I mean they sued blockbuster for including replacement manuals with their rental games and they famously sued over the Game Genie.
@kjarl I just miss when the games were good. They've always been litigious.
This is something that should be a standard way to deal with things, and not setting electronic chips to lock the consumer out of the choice entirely (looking at you, printer industry).
microslop tshirt available yet?
Yesss! I would love this!
Please make the text sag and drip! 🫠 Like it's rotting.😅
Careful, they may get DMCAd by Microsoft.
Sorry, I meant Microslop.
Make the words blurry and sort of melted together as if they're AI generated
The last part was unexpected, but welcome, great to see someone put in their place, especially with that appalling and most likely illegal behavior.
Holy shit the American Psycho reference made my day. Thanks :D
*sigh* Steve, wake me up when RAM and SSD prices have normalized
Is that when September ends?
@GamersNexus Yeah but in 2029
@GamersNexusNo there's still rain in November.
These AI nutjobs need to go-go.
Get a time machine…
Tron lives! 04:15 3D render
Prepare for the uprising!
I feel like we need a range of 'marketing slave' merch now.
Ever consider doing a fly-thru movie of the wireframe mat Andrew makes in Blender? Sort of like a POV movie akin to the flying visuals in Tron (original)? ... Asking for a friend. 😜
You didn't nuke him from orbit. You destroyed his entire solar system.
There are.few things as satisfying as putting a bully in their place. Its why I hold steve and Louis Rossman as the best representatives on the tube. Keep it up
24:24 classic
Keep fighting the good fight, GN!!
Oh boy Hardware News I sure hope there isn't anything bad going on.
I like to imagine there's an epic rivalry between Nintendo's development and legal departments.
Devs release Mario Bros Wonder, then lawyers are like "hold my beer"
Can't wait for you guys to pioneer 4d t-shirts!
Shirts you can HEAR
@GamersNexus
and smell
I already got one. Traveled from the future
So they allow you to phase through solid matter? I'd buy that for $20.
@GamersNexusit's not just a shirt, it's an experience.
The prequel meme at the end was 🔥
"American psycho here" made me spit water on my screen. Next GN video, best water-resistant monitors.
Wish he would chill out and NOT illegally copystrike people
4:18 make a animated wallpaper from that like the old windows XP labyrinth screen saver, sweet
It is not punching down when they are weaponizing the space you share.
thats not punshing down, they are throwing grenades now
he didn't even criticise him that harshly - I would've done that. So all in all, it was pretty tame.
It's not 'punching down' when they fling hands up at you first.
It's punching down if "down" means "morally inferior" instead of "smaller creator".
7am hw news????? bless yall
Dude I cannot believe Threat Interactive stooped this low. I used to watch him only like a year ago
Threat Interactive is channelling his inner Pirate Software.
Bang on
Maybe he used to work at Blizzard too?
@RepairWinsoh god not another one
@JosephVanBrunning-t5c Ab-so-LUTELY!
I have on occasion watched some of his vids and he makes some salient points and then it is like he huffs some crazy gas and just ***SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED*** is all I hear for five minutes.
**sigh**
It is so very disappointing that his involvement in a discussion can now remove respect or concern for the matters discussed.
@RepairWins But was he a second generation employee and pro hacker for nuclear power plants? Also, did he solo develop "an unpirateable game", hmm?
HW News nowadays: You thought things cant get worse? Hold my beer
That 50 cent edit at the end warrants that swgment alone 😂😂
Oh boy, someone's abusing the DMCA again. Get 'em, Steve!
There is a big difference to being an asshat on the internet vs being an asshat to one of our champions. Either way it's still bad behaviour.
@marstedt champion lmao? He is a POS! Going after Bloomberg is one thing, picking on someone who IS RIGHT is not heroic, it is cowardice!
he didn't "abuse" shit, he took down liars and haters this POS coward comparing little TI to Bloomber is bs. No respect for channel now.
@ncd833j9 You clearly don't know what DMCA is if you think using it to silence haters is not abuse
Thank you for correctly naming Microslop right away, my day is better now :)
24:33 is gold lmao
I watch videos while eating breakfast, since I don't get a newspaper anymore. And at 15:35 the comment about talking about preparing to work nearly killed me.
"Full-time Law Firm, Part-time Game Publisher" definitely needs to be a shirt
Have you guys thought about creating a live wallpaper as well to go along with the mat? It looks super sick and kind of a shame that the 3D model can't be fully appreciated with the 2D print. You could probably even sell it for a couple bucks as a digital item as well.
that mouse mat 3d model is really cool
Everyone: "Hey nintendo, go pick on someone your own size!"
Nintendo: "Aight, bet."
Thank you for the big edits. Do what you can.
I was just updating my graphics drivers and thinking about how everything sucks now and GN comes in clutch with the summary
That StarCraft tabletop contains more dice than Space Marines ...
the dude at the end has the social experience of a back end coder
...or is a very experienced rage baiter
@IvoPavlik rage baiter who rage DMCA strikes? Ironic!
I know, right? What a crazy coincidence that he’s a low-level graphics developer
that's offensive to coders though
@harier64 is that a bad thing now. like, have you SEEN any code, ever
Kid's gonna get a BIG EXPENSIVE lesson about how the law is and isn't used.
Appreciate you GN!
at this rate, building a time machine to buy RAM in the past could be a reasonable and cheaper solution.
Best part is it raises ram costs in the future, further increasing current time profits
Threat interactive’s hate for TAA has driven him mad.
I’m not a fan myself but I’m not striking channels over it.
Mate it was always a grift. The guy's been fundraising for his own "TAA solution" for ages with zero tangible results. It's telling that literally no one within game development, or tech media takes the guy seriously. His knowledge is hobbyist at best.
@BatteryBee yeah, it's sad seeing people donate 1,000's to him, he who's proven nothing for the claims he makes to fix... it's quite the grift..
Thanks, Steve!
Just in time! my weekly dose of gamer disappointment!
Glad you're covering the DMCA stuff, it needs more publicity!
Damn I thought that was about Frauditor Troll and DMA, didn't know there were more asswipes abusing DMCA like that...
I like the idea of nuking them from orbit sometimes, I mean don't punch up when you're so clearly terrified of a possible response.
