the comparison with Slipknot is so stupid, Slipknot is a bad poser band, this is a serious project. And stop criticize the singer, it fits perfectly and awesomely
@darkaurasinner haha you actually made a good point. However i listen to a lot of music that i both love to play AND love to listen to so i might as well enjoy both simultaneously lol.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!this is the most awful comment I've ever seen...spiral architect are like slipknot???if only Slipknot could touch a hair from their balls...and the singer is trying???this is the most clever vocals I've ever heard...have you ever written a progressive metal song and tried to put vocals in it???thanks man,you made my day!!! :p
As much as I love progressive metal, some bands.. It's as if they just found a box full of random DIY stuff and say to themselves: "Hm, let's see, now I've got all this stuff, let's see what we can make out of it..." And if you build something out of some old string, a few buttons, some bolts and nuts, a fishing rod, sticky tape, an empty corn flakes box, half a dozen rich tea biscuits, 2 glass jars, 58 lead pipes and 232 thumbtacks, sure: it will be a unique sight to behold-but it ain't pretty.
@munkierunner LOLLLLLLL this is the funniest comment ever... but at the same time true :( although slipknot can be good to introduce people to metals world (just like metallica or any commercial band)
Just out of curiosity, what Slipknot song was this supposed to sound like? I used to like Slipknot and still like their old stuff and demos now, and at the same time I like this kind of music and a lot of other genres and subgenres. You don't have to belong to just 1 genre to prove how loyal or true you are, so grow up.
hey, lets be as deliberately obscure and overcomplex as possible and try to gather niche off-tempo snobs together to talk about how much they hate mainstream music and how second-rate 4/4 measure music is. Awesome!
Ive been listening and playing this genre of music for many years and hats off to the exceptional musical craftsmanship but I enjoy more diversity and musical exploration within an album..You can be incredibly technical and add as many time signature and tempo changes as you want and still end up with crap...this all kinda sounds like a lot of the same...Scenes From A Memory owns this album...totally agree with the Slipknot thing though...Slipknot is not worthy of this
YES exactly. I'm a guitar player myself, but I always seem to be hooked on the bass when it comes to these guys...I swear this guy is a genius.
Oh! How many times i've heard this song! :) i just can't get enough!
THE ALBUM was registered with a 4string fretless.
In the live you can see play with a 5 fretted.
Jesus... I see people mentioning Slipknot here... Wth?....
I love this... It's weird.... Wonderful!
Great. Have just ordered this CD.
yeah!!!!
so beatiful...
in the booklet that comes with the CD, he is shown with a Steinberger 4 string.

The music is incredible and to me it doesn't need a vocalist. However they like to do it is fine although I would love to hear some instrumentals.
¿Compatriotas? Spiral Architect es una agrupación Noruega......
This song kinda reminds me of Theory in Practice. This band fucking rules!
Does anybody know if the bassist plays a normal bass or a Warr guitar?
@KryWolf7 Lets hear you give it a go then; let me guess, because it is just so pleasing to listen to? pah, funny

Dude you should put up Cloud Constructor if you can, I think the only other one on here is blocked. This band's fucking awesome though! peace

@AlteredVisionz
I doubt thats the reasoning behind their music.
not so keen on the actual music its kinda weird probably needs some time to get used to but wow technically speaking this song is absolute insanity
best part 4'55 to 5'40
To all band like this with talanted members ,dont but some gay vocal on your masterpeace ,the music is exellent ,but the vocal is just ....#@%*&
Is this song based on the book?

Awesome!
First sentence was right. Third sentence is right. Second sentence is your opinion and I respectfully disagree with it.
if you have powertab, message me on here and I can email you the file with the score.
@Panasper tell that to meshuggah
sounds pretty much like watchtower.
@Panasper this band also has a lot more technical skill
he's not bad though.
hahaha yeah, good one isn't it? :D

meshuggah would agree 4/4 sucks ass? That's all they use.
Shit, Dream Theater has an enemy ... (just realised)
Or ally, in the battle against simple music :)
Jazz+Metal, that's why they don't call it "progressive" metal. If you ask me , it is.
Haha. Slipknot...lol!
240p attacks again
Band is definitely good but they're pretty much a Watchtower ripoff.
