    I love that everytime I get my oil changed, I can refer back to this video. For some reason, the guys at the Valvoline station don't reset it and I end up having to do it all the time. Thanks for the video!

    Worked like a charm, thanks! The key to this was like you said, "trip a"

    Awesome! I have a 2013 Toyota Sienna LXE. Every time I take it to the dealer for an oil change and maintenance light reset, it cost me well well over $100. This time, I changed the oil myself, I just had no idea how to reset the light. Even though my Sienna is keyless, your video was right on target. It worked the first time. Without putting my foot on the break (to start), I pressed the start button twice while holding the "A" trip button and the 5 square indicators came up on the display, as you illustrated on the video, and after a couple of seconds, the reset completed message came on and that was it. Free! Free at last! Thanks!!!!!!!!! I truly appreciate it...

      Did you get this new, most times at least from what I've seen you get 2 years of free service, sometimes 3. I got a 2015 Toyota Sienna and got 3free years of service.

    • @JoseHernandezOlivares
      @JoseHernandezOlivares 8 лет назад

      +fordwindsor351 No I haven't heard about it. It sure would be nice to have two free years of free services. How did you do it?

    • @fordwindsor351
      @fordwindsor351 8 лет назад

      +Jose Hernandez Olivares 2 years of free service came with it from the get go, then they threw in the 3rd year along with the free scratch and ding service.

      +fordwindsor351 I haven't heard of an additional third year. That was most likely complimentary from the sales person. They definitely took care of you on that one. Toyota care is 2yrs/24k

    • @fordwindsor351
      @fordwindsor351 8 лет назад

      +YoTarifa yes, it was originally 2 years of free service but to make the lease sound good to me the salesman through in the 3rd so I took it.

    Thanks, I looked all over the manual for this and could not find it. So simple!

    Perfect. Thank you. I wished that Toyota had programmed it so that it would have two versions of the maintainance requirement. One for oil change (every 10,000 miles or 12-months) and for tire rotation (every 5,000-miles or 6-months) which would match their service schedule:
    5,000-miles - Tire Rotation
    10,000-miles - Oil and Tire Rotation
    15,000-miles - Tire Rotation
    20,000-miles - Oil and Tire Rotation
    By showing oil-change, it freaks out my wife thinking that she's driving too long without oil change, but that's not the case.

      +Paul Paplinski I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I feel like it was intended to be that way so the service advisor could sell you on an unneccessary oil change. Unless you are drive 70% or more in the city then I would highly recommend changing the oil before 10k miles. Glad to be of service!

    Although you can change the oil every 10k the tires are recommended to be changed over every 5k. That is why the maint warning comes on.

    Thanks. I always forget even though I change oil at 5K. On another note the oil cartridge is a PITA. Special tool required. Oil gets everywhere, replacing o rings. Give me a filter any day.

    I wish people recording these videos can have someone hold the camera steady for them while they do the work because I’m still not really getting it and I’ve watched like 5 short videos. Do I push the knob down while I turn the car on (not starting it) I couldn’t see what was going on

    good day to you, what can you say about the maintenance light flashing for a couple of times in about 15 seconds then will be gone, I only have 4,500 miles so far, does it require maintenance at this stage, I was told to have my maintenance at 6,000 miles or 6 months after purchase, do you have any info about this?

    Interesting; the Toyota Sienna owner's manual says to press odometer button until Trip A reads "0000". That didn't work. YoTarifa's video is more accurate, as reset has to do with small display screen, not trip odo reading!
