So glad I had a dress given to me buy a family member. Didn’t even need alterations! She was happy, I was thrilled to wear a dress that has a beautiful history.
@@Theunicorn2012 thank you for pointing out my grammatical spell check error. My Mom is clapping for you and rolling over in her urn for me being such a disappointment.
I'm going to make my own wedding outfit. Hopefully, my future spouse will not mind it, and what would be even more awesome if he/she/they allow me to make his/her/their wedding outfit to match but only if he/she/they are on board with it after all it's his/her/their wedding day too
There isn’t a law that says you can’t buy the same dress as your Friend, just buy the damn dress if it is actually the dress you want there’s no need to get approval from others. Take the dress and ask them if they have more than the one and make notes for your next appointment that you want this dress in rotation or just tell them this is the one and have them alter it on your appointment. 🤷🏼♀️ not that difficult just don’t be scared bc there isn’t a “I see it first.” Or “my weddings first.” Rule set in stone land you can choose whatever you damn please. 🙂
dress appointments are basically just finding a dress style you like and placing an order for a custom dress tailored for your body. some boutiques might charge a consultation fee but you're really paying for the wedding dress.
Bridal salons tend to work by appointment, like hair salons. You go in, you have a consultant working with you, that is your time to try on dresses and have the focus be on you and your wedding. It's considered extremely rude and tacky to look at dresses for yourself when you're there for someone else's appointment.
Most bridal shops don’t charge for an appointment unless they offer special services like champagne or other fun things. You have to make an appointment so you can work with a consultant. A lot of bridal shops also have fitting rooms meant for groups like the bridal party where they all sit around the room and the bride gets to stand on a little stage. A lot of dresses require a staff member to assist you in putting it on and clamping it as they only carry dresses in a few sizes.
Solution: Woman with the first wedding gets the dress, wears it, then a year later, other woman gets the dress, then, she passes it on to someone else as well. My mom passed on her wedding dress to someone who needed it under one condition: when she’s done, she should give it to someone else who needed it.
If I get married I'm either wearing my mother's or grandmother's wedding dress I don't want to spend thousands for dollars on a dress I'm only going to wear once
That would make it feel less special like they are just borrowing a a memory cause the dress is a reminder of their special day and can be something they give to their kids and also it is her appointment which is kinda rude to try and take over something that you were invited to
Most people who are about to be married, don’t do that because the person you’re gonna be sharing the dress with could either take it and never return it or they could damage it and they might want you to pay the whole and they don’t wanna split of half the bill and you might like this type of dress, but the person you’re gonna be sharing with might not like that dress and likes something that you may not like also that dress is going to be yours to keep as a memory you may want to pass it down to your future daughter and no one even shares well some people do
To be fair, i was thinking of like sisters or good friends sharing, not people who wouldn’t take care of the dress properly or are barely friends. Saves alot of money if you can trust each other. (Plus who cares if it’s the same dress)
6 months and a year and a half on the same cos there's 12 months in a year so there's 6 months until her wedding too so it this really doesn't make sense

Wtf is a dress appointment. What, is it like going to the hospital? Do you have to pay 50 bucks just to try on dresses?

Can’t they just buy one dress and share??
Um what

Women don't like sharing wedding dresses because it's there's for there special day. Idk maybe I'm wrong

You made a mistake a year in a half is 6 months
A year and a half
6 months and a year and a half on the same cos there's 12 months in a year so there's 6 months until her wedding too so it this really doesn't make sense
A year *and* a half is 1+(1/2) which is 1 year(=12months) and a half(=6 months) which means a total of 18 months.
Who is bad?
😇
Is the year in a half 6 monts
She saw the dress first, tried it on first and she's getting married in 6 months not a year in a half, it's her dress
