I use to play this as a child, it was my uncle never could remember what it was called. Hours of fun with this game. Me and siblings use to take turns. I would love to buy one of those, just for memories of my child hood. Coming to 40s now I would take this to my siblings now and just imagine the reaction.

Great one you did lad! If Sega's Outrun you did, you can do that with Sega's Turbo Outrun, Outrunners, Monaco GP and Turbo; Taito's Chase HQ and Special Crime Investigation; Atari's or Namco's Pole Position 1 and 2. I can name that many driving games I remember.

I had the same idea some years back but never had the heart to destroy the tomy game, now that someone did it i hope nobody else destroys any more tomy turbo consoles.
This is so awesome, but as we know licensing and all that crap so prevent this from mass production. However, approach a programming team with the idea and I’m sure you could get a team to make another retro racing game similar to outrun. For the dash, there must be hundred of companies in China that can replicate it without the Tomy label.

Selling the thing would have additional complications. Namely that you'd have to sell the thing without the Outrun rom, and provide instructions. Certainly not insurmountable, but that would lower its value somewhat.
