    But what kind of entity should the last US entity be before the money goes across the border? That part was unclear. Thanks for clarifying the rest though!

    So should the LLC own the LP to not need to pay withholding tax or should the LP own the LLC so that the properties owned by the LLC are protected and the LP allows for no withholding tax and CRA will recognize that entity as not personal?

    Are you able to do a cashout refinance in an LP and bring that cash back into Canada without taxation? Thanks.

      That's easy no taxation on loans. Plus because of the tax treaty the U.S has with Canada you will be alright. (Not Giving Tax Advice)
