You never really notice how the hermits all work in a single (mostly) functional unit and each hermit is key for each part. Grian starts the skeleton, plans it out but before that others have taken initiative for basic necessities. As soon as he’s laid it out the others begin on their strong points. The red stoners build up the farms and the builders get busy. The mashup of designs and build styles is gonna he glorious! You see a little bit of merging of other hermits styles in each one, like grian went to bdubs base for inspiration, they learn off each other too, so there’ll probably be a cohesive piece at the end of this, or it’ll be like the season six hermitville build battle. Anythings possible it’s the hermits.
Maybe that could be another hermit trait like being short

I actually like the collaboration they have right now, there so much to see and new people they can meet up with in their episodes, it makes things more interesting
Sausage being confused about the lag joke was adorable and hilarious at the same time. I never really thought about the fact that the Hermit's shenanigans don't exactly exist in the Empires crew.
Also I loved the fact that Grian just resorted to puns for trying to get the villagers to work!
That should be another trait about the hermits, they are also very laggy.
Hermittopia needs to feature the "Boatem Hole 2.0"! It's official opening can be sealed with the sacrafice of an Empire player into the Boatem Hole.

I've noticed a charateristic that sets the species Hermits apart from everyone else. They're very random with everything. Also I want Bdubs to still be canonically shorter than everyone else

I"m so stoked to see all the Hermits together for this. Like, there's Hermitcraft, but this is all the Hermits working together and interacting closely, and I'm so all for it.

The funniest thing about the villager assignment thing was the phantoms. I haven't heard a single phantom in any EmpiresSMP videos and Grian is like 1 episode into the crossover and already there are phantoms. Hermits officially don't sleep.

Hermitcraft and empires are pretty much the two biggest servers for amazing minecraft players, and I love that they combined the two different play styles

The hermits remind me a little of heizelmännchen from the german city cologne. a little bit like gnomes or elves they are short and when everyone is sleeping, they do your work for you. until someone had seen them and they dissapered forever. My mother used to tell me that they steal my socks

I’m genuinely curious, how did Grian manage the shrinking? Was it just a very good jump cut to a change in skin that had adjustments to make the model appear smaller? Or is it a mod used to actually shrink people linked to the button in the build? I’m so curious
I kinda expect the hermitopia base to be a Howl's Moving Castle esque structure, a mishmash of bits on top of each other, and I think it'll look really cool

If a megabase is one person's huge base, and a gigabase is a huge base with multiple people, the base with all of the hermits could be considered a terabase.
This therefore means that the logical next step is to create a petabase with all of the people from more than one SMP.

I love how while the hermits work as a single unit, all building up on each other and collectively building one empire, the others use their own skills to create their own empires and trade with each other. I think it’s cool how different they are
This crossover is such a good way to tackle burnout and trying different storylines
Did anyone catch Scar’s comment about loving to press buttons, and pressing a certain button at Timmy’s base. The one where Grian placed the tnt with a button. And Scars sideways comment about blowing holes in Timmy’s base. Scar could not resist. Scar and Grian are certainly button bros. XD

Grian is built to lead things, whether thats projects, mayoral races, revolutions, resistances or wars, he's just made to be the initiator of all things good, bad and chaotic

I love how well all the hermits work together like they all have one mind and know immediately what everyone wants to build
I love how the empire rulers take few episodes to actually get going but the hermits take just one episode and they have surplus's of resources.
They have a tad bit of a mindset difference. From what I saw empires is more lore/roleplay based, while the hermits basically try to Speedrun creative mode

Well Empires took a while because they started from scratch. The Empires gave the Hermits lots of stuff to get them started, and Hermits also just took a bunch of stuff from them, like all that gunpowder Grian just took from Joey and what they raided from Sausage's storage.
Also, Empires is about role-playing and focused on building entire cities/empires rather than resource farms. Part of that is each Empire controls one or two types of resources so they have to trade with each other.
So the hermits are essentially building an archology complex. A completely self contained and self sufficient habitation, with all the farms and villagers they need in one massive building. I love it!
Oh damn I didn’t realize that theres a word for that. Although I have heard it used in New Pacific Arcology.

Hermit idea: they should be more into technology and redstone, with all the technical stuff in hermit craft, you should also bring a broken down grumbot nearby, kinda like it tried to come with

Bdubs shouldn’t have to use the machine because he’s already short. Also for Gem, she’s both hermit and empire, does that mean she can get anyone? Same with False. Poor sausage, missing out on the lag that always spikes around chests. And hearing the one of us chant. Honestly I love this crossover event it’s the best thing ever, imo. Amazing episode as always :)
