Believe it or not Rudy could have been a albino INGEN barynox that made his way through a path to the hollow earth (which may refer in a perspective of a crossover between legendary Godzilla, Kong and Jurassic world) Due to the hollow earth radiation, the INGEN or Biosyn dinosaurs, including Rudy, that went loose in the wild between fallen kingdom and Dominion may have went to the hollow earth, grew extremely enormous. Which would make sense in how similar the dinosaurs from ice age 3 grew almost kaiju size. Over all, since they have similar characteristics of being apex theropod, they are a perfect match.
