Personally I am getting tired of this onslaught of new editors every single day. I would like to see ONE AI editor that is actively improved, but is already useable. I don't want to hop to every new attempt to grab for some $$$.
Competition is good, but also prone to have those start ups with no market retention. Whichever app is supported and funded the most will be the leading one.
This is just the beginning of AI editor, similar to years ago when text editor was beginning to rise, sublime vs atom vs vscode, and vscode crowned as winner. Just use whatever works well with your work and let the battle settle to see the winner.
I do think 🤔 if we already have so many IDE, especially so many VScode forks, we need to start testing them by the price, functionality, ability to work on more complicated apps, 1000+ lines of code for example, bug fixing and ask if they have anything special over the other apps
I'm building an app with the help of AI and I'm planning to implement a feature similar to Cursor's chat, but instead of using it with code I'm gonna use it with text and JSON. Do you know what LLM should be ideal for that? I've read that Claude 3.5 Sonnet is the best for coding, but what about text and data?
Thanks again for this video, you really help us being aware about everything in ai coding world ! I'd like to know if there are vision abilities, can we upload an image or document and can Exponent read it ?
@@kashmirtechtv2948 right now probably #1 cursor coz it has sonnet 3.5 behind. but it cost $20, you can try using their 7days free trials to test it. #2 will be windsurf, it also has sonnet 3.5 and has 14days free trials then 10$ for subs later. if you want terminal based, use Aider
Here you go : "This is a basic expo app. I want you to make it a water tracker app. Make sure that all the default tabs and stuff are removed and it only has 1 page. The water tracker app should give me a target of glasses of water to drink in a day and then it should allow me to track and see if i can reach that limit. Make sure that it looks sleek and modern with some graphs and intuitive animations."
#1 will be cursor, #2 is windsurf. but cursor has 2x price compared to windsurf but its not so that bad , it just missing some feature like attaching an image and some stuff but they have a good analysis on a code. so choose it wisely
Thanks!
my pc is like a bag full of vscode forks
😂😂😂
I'm going to need a much much bigger HD
And not one spoon to be found
I believe they're just forking each other and creating new products
You can store save and edit the code on the locally hosted bolt repo by the cameron guy
The AI race is going fast-paced, and you, Mr. AICodeKing, really helped me up-to-date. Thank you!
You test so many tools, it might be a good idea to make a "Best AI Tools of the Month" type of video.

I just use Cline and it's very reliable and good.

i agree something like swebench but for IDEs, swebench tests the underlying ai
So we have daily IDE now?
😄😄
Bro got access after 1 day while i've been waiting for 1 month almost lmaooo, good video tho :)
Please, what are the best tools to assist with programming, ranked according to your preference?
Cline and Windsurf. But Windsurf sadly does not work on WSL2
@@JensMartsch windsurf has ssh so whats the problem?
Thanks again!
Thank you for your report. It's great and your English is really easy for me to understand.
look for another open source alternative and what model exponent use ?
I wonder how long it will take for one of the coding models to take something like this and make a clone. That'll bring the pricing down in a hurry.
Can I use a RAG like in it, input the documentation of a language like godot, and create games with it ? Do prototype and improvement?
What is your favorite coding ai tool ?
Can you show us Kodu?
I love your videos.
Sir make a video on highlight ai can you please compare highlight ai and exponent ai

What's more important? Model or IDE??
both, Good model can give you a better result. good IDE can enhance your model prompt.
@@aculz can you suggest the best combo??

new day, new vscode fork. well =))

I think Cline is much better than either of those for coding.
Bolt's great, but that prompt-only, code changing has vaccumed my tokens... Definitely for something else...
I think I will stay on Windsurf.
An A.I a day keeps the coder away
