    This I’m not even a pearl buyer but I’ll watch the whole thing because you are so genuine.
    Maybe I’ll find something new or a gift idea 💡
    Thank you SO much for daring to have a non-panic frenzy oversaturated loud irritating sense assault.

      If you want to know truth about oysters and pearls you should do research. I am certified, through the CPAA and I despise people like this guy lying to people about formation of pearls, colors, and other stereotypes. Want some oysters? I'll hook you up with a distributer for a wholesale company. You can request the color, the size, the amount you want inside(two, three, 20) and so forth. They are not expensive.
      He "wants"people to get twins, well he should know how many twins he ordered. This whole thing is either bs and lies....or they are truly ignorant of what they're doing.

    Hi. I shuck oysters every day for my job at a restaurant. I have found many pearls. But none of them as shiny or perfectly round as these. I’ve shucked oysters from the east west and gulf coast of the us. By the hundreds. I assume it’s a specific breed that dedicates it’s growing power to the pearl rather than the meatiness of the oyster itself.

      I don't believe no one hasn't bothered to look into further information about these creeatures yes they are a type of oyster snd they get implanted with a seed and that's the start of a new pearl once they are returned to the ocean for a specific length of time they can be harvested to be sold just like the pearl dudes one's they get soaked in thamaldohide first that kills the creature inside and leaves the body within plus the pearl have fun with your heated discussion its time I

    Just came across this channel and this is my first video. Such beautiful pearls. I didn't even know there were so many colors of pearls.
    if I may suggest tho, perhaps use a non reflective bowl maybe of a dark color with the white sand to show off the pearls better. I would consider at the very least a non reflective bowl due to the light glaring on the bowl when you hold it up to show the pearls.

    The pearls form from sand grains that get inside the oyster, they are like kidney stones for the oysters. It puts layers on top of the grain forming the pearl. The oyster usually has the same color for twin pearls because the color depends on the oyster's metabolism.

      Girl ThatIsAGirl the only part while he explained it terribly that was a myth was the sand part. while a rather irritating particle of sand can cause pearl formation, it is usually a parasite, also he was wrong about the whole kidney stone but I've never heard that even as a myth. Most people know oysters purposely make pearls to isolate an irritant or parasite.

    • @red4643
      @red4643 7 лет назад +11

      Susan Crichton although correct that natural black pearls only come from the black lipped oyster from the isles of Tahiti, they aren't that hard to find anymore. they are cultured just like the rest of the pearls in the world, and they sell between $70-85 normally where I work alone. normally the high price associated with them is because of the fact they are normally set in high quality gold (14-18k is average). If you are curious as to the most rare color, it is actually green as even though most oysters can create green, it isn't seen often at all. (I work in an all pearl jewelry shop and do openings daily, and set pearls daily)

    • @julesbjeweled7891
      @julesbjeweled7891 7 лет назад +2

      Rachel Jones. A high price associate5with a black or gold, or even white pearl is due to when they're naturally made, not cultered. Mine were purchased years ago before the cost of gold skyrocketed, the 14mm black Tahitian and the 12mm gold are both set in 18k gold and cost approx $2000-$3000 each. My 30 inch strand of white natural pearls was over $1000 and that was 25 years ago. Big difference between natural and cultered.

    I could be wrong but these are most likely dyed pearls, they take pearls, dye them and stick them back into dead oysters. These people may not know and im not faulting them, just be careful

      JuRin Yoon you have to buy special oysters. You can also eat them in pretty expensive french restaurants and with a lot of luck you‘ll find a pearl

      How a pearl is made is something gets in the oyster. It can be sand or anything that can fit with it being closed. And after a while it becomes a pearl at least that's what I heard

      No not all oysters have pearls so they must buy them in especially

      Pearl is a cancer for oysters. Poor fellas

      @@zulaazulaa430 a pearl is a particle of sand that has been repeatedly coated by the oysters saliva. It hurts the oyster but it coats it as a way to sort of protect itself. It then turns into what we call a pearl.
