I've created a bunch of hack-ish ways to apply effects to clips with a key press over the years. I think it's time I finally get Excalibur. Thanks for the video!
@@screenpresentation Sure, I mostly use macropads which can simulate a bunch of key presses with a single key. So one key can become "EFFECTS>CROSSDISOLVE>ENTER" if that makes sense. It's not as clean or as usable as something like Excalibur.
Great video. Tip for you: Make a shortcuts for Keyframe Temporal Interpolation - Ease out, Ease In and Linear. That way you can add your motion preset with Excalibur and then just select the keyframes you wan to Bezier and click one button. Bezier shortcuts are a must for anyone who does any amount of custom keyframing.
I dont have excalibur myself yet, but i have a theory/idea for getting around the keyframe easing. What if you take one of your current presets (with your beziers/easing set up how you want it) and then step through it frame by frame and create a keyframe on every frame between the start and end of the motion? This way, it should keep the easing, but it wont need bezier handles. Would love to know if this workaround is possible!
Oh, damn dude, I watch your videos. 'Sup! 👊 This is such an awesome idea - I tested this and it... kinda works. This issue I've found - and perhaps you know a way to mitigate this - is that when you add a new keyframe between two others that have bezier/easing on, it messes with the flow/easing. So, it just ends up looking really strange. I think you're definitely on to something, and I've seen applications like Premiere Gal Toolkit (via Atom) add bezier's without any issues. Not sure if something like that could be implemented in the future. You could go in and make a 20-40 keyframe transition by hand without any bezier handles or easing, but at that point you're just making a more complicated version of... everything. 😂
Does Excalibur feature a search for files within the project? 🤔I constantly have to go to my project tab and search for sound effects and assets that I constantly use...and it gets REALLY tiring having to navigate to that one specific project tab where I got my sound effects and then search for "woosh sfx #3" over and over and over again :(
Hey! Sorry for the slow reply - it's under "New Item" in Excalibur, then choose adjustment layer from there. I also found it helpful to make a macro, locking my usual footage layers first, adding the Adjustment Layer, then unlocking the layers. RUclips should let me post links here... If so, here's an example: ibb.co/CW1qwmY
I did. The chap I spoke with said it's an issue with the way Adobe/Premiere works, not a bug on their side. It sucks, but if you're only doing basic transitions and suchlike (crops, zooms, pans), I've made a free pack you can download via my store. I'll keep you updated if there are changes, though! If you're looking for an alternative simply for easy effects WITH bezier keyframe functionality, check out the Premiere Gal toolkit. Works pretty great, bunch of different effects, but doesn't have the search/macro features Excalibur does.
Hi and thank you for your video, i do wedding videos and I want to ask you if I would be able to create a command for multicam setup and and automatic cut between camera 1 and camera 2
You're more than welcome! 🙏🏻 This should already be a feature in Premiere, if you're familiar with multicam editing. Create a new bin, fill it with all of your multicam footage and different camera angles. Then, right click the bin and select "Create Multi-Camera Source Sequence". Adjust the audio options based on the style of recording you're working with. Click "OK", and then right click on the newly created multi-cam sequence, or simply drag it onto your timeline. Press Shift+0 (or select the multicam editing icon on the toolbar). From there, all you have to do is click on the primary camera at any given time, or press numbers 1,2,3 or 4 to toggle between the cameras, cutting automatically along the way. Hope this helps! Let me know if you need a more in-depth guide, happy to make one if you're having issues. 🙏🏻
@@HeroVisionYT Thank you for taking your time to reply. Yes I am familiar with Multicam and I know how to use it. My issue is that I have 5 hours multicame video to switch. So I wondering if I can use the plugin to the switch between cameras automatically in short time and instead of me go through all the video and select camera 1 and camera 2 I know Autopod plugin does this for podcasts but won’t work with multicam with one audio source. Thank you
@@HeroVisionYT yea might do the standart high freqs up low freqs down to sound more clearly and natural. nothing the less. great video for advanced editors!
hiii, is there posible to make a command to create and adjustment layer and then adding it some effects?
@@yahelrafe Yes! 🔥 Just uploaded a YT Short to help you with that. ruclips.net/video/C5WDyl8E0Pw/видео.html
Glad to see knights of the editing table making Premiere usable so Adobe can continue adding unfinished AI features 😊😊😊

Haha, I was exactly the same. 😂 You're more than welcome, hope you enjoy the plugin - let me know if you have any questions.
can u please tell me a bit about your "hack-ish way"?

god i thought I was the only one to see this huge issue with keyframes, I'm not alone !
Afraid not. 🙏🏻 Hopefully the Excalibur devs can figure something out! 💪
Some nifty stuff here!
also, I love your editing so much xD goofy af!
Hehe, not as fun as your editing style though!

They need this for FCP
Agreed. 🙏 Does FCP have good supprot for plugins, I haven't used it for a while.
broo i need what ever that secret plug in is, how much longer do i gotta wait 😅
Haha, I'm still waiting on an update! 😂 As soon as it's out I'll let you know!
What do you say about FxSeeker f premiere pro. ? Its the same way of excalibur
I hadn't heard of that, and weirdly can't find any videos on it - unless I'm typing it wrong. 🤔
i can tell you use the premiere gal toolkit

is excalibur a one time purchase?
Yes, sir! 🔥 All future updates are free.
Did you contact the creator? i'd like to buy this plugin but the bezier problem it's really annoying, specially for the price (140€)
