      Agreed, although they could have given Takumi a proper reintroduction rather than just a honorable mention… make you think he truly ghosted the scene and lived up to the name ( Akina’s 86 a.k.a the white ghost of Akina ) . I wonder what his time in his ae86 would be upon the same phantom demo run would have been. Does anyone know if he had ever managed to rebuild and retain his ae86 trueno sprinter Toyota Corolla ( hatchiroku ) ?

      In the manga we never saw it getting scrapped though, maybe it’s just still sitting in the junkyard. Keep in mind, when a character or object dies or is destroyed off screen (or in the manga’s case off panels) that’s because the creators are leaving the door open for a possible return, and knowing how much MF Ghost relies on nostalgia I wouldn’t be surprised if the AE86 shows up again at some point, I could be wrong though.

    Strange. I seem to remember Keisuke's RX-7 having different tail lights. In the vid it had stock tail lights. The suspension also seemed higher than back in Initial D.

    • @frylucas
      @frylucas 8 месяцев назад +8

      What you're thinking of is the OEM tail lights from Zenki FD RX-7s, which would lit up the entire housing.
      Keisuke's car is a 1991 Efini RX-7 Type R (first year of production of the FD, so it's a "Zenki"), so it would have had that from factory. However, when it was modified for the last time in the battle with Hojo Go, the car got the famous "circle" taillights which were introduced in the 1996-1998 "Chuki" FD RX-7s and would carry on for the 1998-2002 "Kouki" FD RX-7s later on.
      The higher suspension could be an animation thing though, or maybe just something Keisuke did so the car is better to live with in regular driving. Remember that this is his personal car and he most likely daily drives it here or there.

No problem being Takumi for a cameo like good old Takumi despite of him being injured he manage to heal up and run the MFG course pulling off Bunta level shit in his suspension updated, engine swapped(probably a black top 20V 4AGE) Or better yet Takumi showing up running the course with Kanata's GT86 with Kanata with it, and probably scaring the shit out of Kanata
