I can confirm you need to reach at least 126 in the echoing nightmare as it will knock you down 1 level, I literally got to 125 on one of mine and was quite upset to see the gem was only level 124, just a heads up people 👍
Ahh, makes sense given that I remember seeing 137, but round at end said 136. So, it is what level you complete, not just what level you start (hence the minus 1).
Dude.... LOGIC. u FINISH 125 and get overwelmed in 126. Its so fuckin simple. A 4 year old can understand the tooltip in EN.

@@zebedeesummers4413 Not everyone can do a GR high enough to level it up.
We saved up all our screams from our leveling party group. We did a couple at the beginning of the season to see how they worked (got a massive paragon boost early in the season, plus basically free 3x65 gem conquests), and then saved the screams until we were all 750-850 paragon. After smashing a bunch up to consistent 150-160 levels (1 throw barb, 1 inna monk, 2 M6 DH), we're almost all over paragon 1k and can nearly fully augment our gear. Run all your puzzle rings with a broken crown in the cube, you'll need all the gems.
FWIW, it feels like the screams are just another item in the 'loot table'. I got 4 in one game just doing speed GR over a couple hours. If you start seeing them drop, invite your friends and farm away :)
No, DO augment your trash ancient gear because you're just gonna get more 125 aug gems anyway. That 625 dex boost makes a big difference. A stash full of 125 aug gems don't make your run any faster

@@noeosterpecqueur8254 Also, any game you start go to the act map and see which boss bounties are easy, like Magdha and Zoltan Kulle. The chest drops a bunch of gems (doubled with Broken Crown).

@@MyN0N4M3 that's why broken crown is so good. You just convert those extra "usually white" gems into whatever you need.
One Scream, one primal so far…
But that primal is Promise of Glory, so this season is literally POG.
I've gotten 1 primal thus far.. and it was a blackthorns chest piece I think. I threw it in my stash and carried on.

When they slaughtered the drop rates of screams they pretty much disabled the season theme for people who can't play more than a few hours a week and that really sucks.
I get that they don't want to poison non-seasonal with mega paragon transfers at the end of this season, but I don't get why they thought giving these things a 5% drop rate was acceptable for a season theme.
It's also quite unbalanced that group players get quadruple screams. The terrible drop rate, and this group advantage, puts solo play even further behind than it always is.

This seasons theme is pretty much nothing anyway. It’s not like you couldn’t augment leg gems before.
I play a Rathma/Captain combo mainly focusing on Army of the Dead. I just kill the spawn points fast as I see them and then once I get to about wave 80ish I grab all the towers. At this point I am destroying the waves with the lightning and cooldown reduction till I get to wave 126 as I continuously dodge the explosions. Its been working pretty well so far. I wasn't able to do this till I hit paragon 1000. I'm a casual player a couple hours a day at most. I only have one Primal at this point. I think I'm at GR 115 at the moment.
I’ve only had two keys drop for me so far. 😭
900 para and got like 5keys. I dont enjoy playing almost nonseason so IT was a quick one for me.
Really wish they would put the echoing nightmare drop to 50-100% in GRs at least for the season, they could lower it when it rolls over into non season. With the drop rate this low it feels like playing non season and if they don't want the XP grind or the augment gems to get out of hand they should target those two things instead.
I would love this, even if they have to nerf the gem drop rates.
I found 3 and ran less than 12 gr. That's including the first level 20 gr for season

You nailed it, this needs a buff. My group already has people quit, usually we get in 3 or 4 weeks a season, but this last minute change on the drop rate makes it less fun, the last two seasons were way better now, all because the drop rate left a poor taste
at 754 paragon I got my first key and that's mainly spamming GR 90+, really disappointed with the low drop rate
my friend got 8 keys and I got 1, we are same paragon, talking about rng!
Dang i got my 1st 1 at paragon 234 grom a Olreks dream and i had another Olreks dream again right after 😂

Paragon 800 and had about 10 keys which have mostly sat in my stash for now and just used 2 of them so far for 2 125 augments
I really wish they had some kind of pitty timer or RNG average system where each time one doesn't drop the odds go up (reseting or going negative when they drop.) The total average seems somewhat reasonable but having non at 1k para is not... neither is having 15 at 600 like my friend.
I played over 50 GRs and didn't get any stones :(

Shard of hate primal was a nutkick for a start but then captain crimson's and full marauder ancient. Only focus missing and bomb quiver. Gonna tackle the 150s echoes tomorrow.
Oh right, so Whisper of Atonement gems are just used for augmenting instead of grinding to use a high level legendary gem. That's pretty sweet.

Season theme is kinda lame. You get a lot XP but these things are too rare + it looked like that you could keep up with group players in the beginning in some way cause of the huge bonus XP but in the end its just big XP for them cause they need just one scream for four players.
I 100% agree. I was already a bit unsure about this season and now hearing the drop rate is 5% it’s almost not worth playing the season at all. 1 in 20 runs is terrible. At bare minimum it should have been 1 in 3.

Because if you're in a group its not 1 in 20.
Its 1 in 5.
Only 1 key is needed for a full team, so they effectively get keys 4x as often as solo players..
I already had 5 drops. First drop was gr 20 first time.
I got my first WoA tonight, but when I select it in my inventory, it says I don't have any ancient items, even though I do, and I can select Caldesann’s Despair in the kanais cube recipes.
Any advice?
Blizzards main issue is thinking every single thing has to have an element of rng involved like how much better would the drop rate be if it was deterministically 10% meaning every 10th GR you are guaranteed to get a drop. Still rare low drop rate but you know what your working for this BS of oh I got 8 in 50 runs vs I got 0 in 100 is kinda nuts...
Even the EN maps have rng, it's omnipresent. Most of my few precious attempts at EN were ruined by stuff on the ground. And there was the one map that we'll all be hoping for, with no obstacles. Why? It's not like we can fish ENs.
I don't mind the RNG but there should either be a pitty timer or the odds should shift when you do/don't get them.

This is such a sad statement to the season. I was already very sceptical of season, but with the thought of being able to farm paragons this season I was keen to jump in. I’ve made a monk and have just cleared a GR85 waiting for an EN to drop after 5 GR runs. Hearing it’s a 1 in 20 (5%) is TERRIBLE!
The whole theme is Echoing Nightmares, and it seems stupid that it has such a low chance of happening. Why force SO much grinding onto the player base, it’s like they learnt nothing from the last 2 seasons. Heaps of players started playing S24 and 25 because they reduced the grind from the player.
So disappointing now.
Its not 1 in 20, its 5% on each run without "guaranteed every X" mechanic which busts it. Done about 75 GR, about 50 of them on gr90. Got 1. ONE scream. After ive finished season and decided to level up one more gem for GoD. 1 in 75. Small sample size but due to that it doesnt feel like season at all, just "non season" with new border. But you have to grind everything again. Sigh...
Not to mention xp wise EN 114 (got locked out and cc'ed hard enough i couldnt get to conduit) was worse than gr90.
@@shonoshe I realised that it’s more 5% than and actual 1 in 20 runs.
The XP nerf from the PTR was a bit unnecessary if they were going to obliterate the drop rate like this.
It’s pretty stupid, someone else said it best as well, feels like a non season character run.

I got my first scream clearing solo 20 gr for season. Maybe we need to do spend runs like farming primal.
The absolute best lessons they SHOULD have carried over from 24 and 25 is that the seasonal theme was available and impactful from level 1 all the way to 70 and beyond. The RNG on the ethereals/shards and their reasonable drop rate encouraged more grinding while still being rewarding, and the ethereals/shards could be salvaged into useful gems/crafting mats.
They absolutely nailed S24/25, and I played those seasons a lot more than previous ones.
This season is just the opposite...you don't start getting ENs till 70, they are exceedingly rare, and the activity they lead to is repetitive and honestly not that rewarding considering the grind to earn the EN. You also can't use them to do anything else. No salvaging for gems/mats, no slotting them, no way to use them to power up or change the way you play outside of a "free" augment which still has to be paid for in gems. Soul shards would GIVE you the gems to Aug with as well.

I’ve gotten I think 4 primals(Oculus Ring, Zodiac, some garbage gloves, and some monk helm) but only 1 scream.
So can we save the items for after the season and complete the ENs with our main characters or they expire?
I am almost paragon 1000 and just found 3 of those seasonal keys... Droprate is lower then primals -.-
Not. Do fast gr 90 in 2 minutes and you ll get 5 6 in 1h
@@2Razzv I am doing 110 in under two minutes. I always farm on a difficulty that is easy and fast to farm... So yea, can't be that (rng is rng...)
Paragon 800 and found about 12 keys which mostly sit in my bank, only used 2 so far for augments, but I'm getting a steady flow of keys now
So are they better better the higher their tier is?
Also do they work on Primal Ancients?
I hope they make them more common, not everyone can or wants to play 15hrs per day

i cant seem to find what is the point in the gem being 125 whats the difference between a 55 and a 125, is there a limit? can i stack multiple gems ontop one another?
it's +5 mainstat per rank when augmenting them

No problem with getting these. My problem is getting ancient items. It's always the same useless stuff, never anything I need. I don't think ancient firebird orb exists. It's like once you get so high they want to piss you off by giving a monk items for a DH or barb.

I just had 2 back to back Olrek's dream and 1 of them gave me my 1st petrified scream i made it to wave 84 before i died with a semi decent ancient spear build at paragon 234
Edit i have to admit doing it was really fun even thought there is death everywhere in the map its testing my skill and survivability and it gave me over +40 paragon in 1 go so it is a good grind for those looking to power through paragon especially early stages
If I want to use this on a ancient item with already main stat strength on it, do I need to reroll strength away first? so that i can get extra stats?

Ran GR 90 50 times and got ONE Petrified Scream!!!! Not much of a drop rate.

I entered Echoing nightmares solo as a Necro. I have a combo build, 2 Inarius, 4 Rathma. I got a Whisper augment 34. I did not die. I am wondering what Necro build works best farming Echoing Nightmares? I have more Petrified Screams but want to know the most efficient means to use them.
None. The Monsters in the echoing nightmares are immune to hard CC, so Krysbins barely works, making any Necro built garbage in this mode.

assuming you are not playing on hardcore it looks like corpse explosion is the best you can do. Not nearly as good as most classes but the best there is. It might be worth simply making a level 70 character and using shards to have a basic build just for echoes. Like m6 demon hunter
if you assume the time you spend on the DH outside of echoNM as negative you still get more out of your time than using the keys sub level 100
@@zebedeesummers4413 yeah, I think it does most damage quickly. I wanted poison but the shards do not fly out with enough radius. I know they meant to do that but still I like the poison. Seems like my skellies do more damage with poison.
How do you lvl up WoE to 150 maximum?!?
you can continue leveling it in GRs just like other gems

I think there might be two triggers for the drop rate, I've run about 20-25 GR's and had 4 Petrified Screams drop.
Had the first one drop fairly quick, ran another 10 GR's w/o a drop and became concerned that maybe another wouldn't drop since I already had one.
At that point I ran the EN, followed by a GR and a Petrified Scream immediately dropped. Ran another EN and 1-2 GR's and got my third. Continued to run GR's to get the rest of my legendary gems and had no Petrified Screams drop. Since my gear was a tiny bit improved I ran an EN followed by a 2-3 GRs and once again got a Petrified Scream.
Would need more testing but I think the drop rate might be 50% if you don't have a Petrified Scream, and 5% if you do.
EN = Echoing Nightmares?
I doubt this is the case. Nothing else in the game follows this rule, and I don't expect they wrote entirely new code for ENs.

@@matkosmat8890 Don't know what to tell you man, I've run 4 GR's today and gotten two Petrified Screams, that's a very small sample size, so it's not impossible that I'm just getting lucky.

The drop rate is too low. I wanted to try out the EN, do some testing and training, but the keys are too rare. On top of that, there's always the damned RNG with the maps: I died prematurely in 2 of my 3 attempts, due to shit on the ground rendered invisible by explosions. I'm missing the point of the whole EN by now - if you can only do a few of these a week, who cares what the rewards are? And they aren't that great, to begin with.
There are really only 2 benefits from this new mode.
You can jump start your augments super easy this season.
And in the later on you can try and push your paragon levels, as it is quite a heavy XP farm, even after the XP nerf.
It's also somewhat fun to have a "new" game mode to create builds for.
But yeah, rewards mostly suck.
I finished my entire season journey and haven't gotten any echoing nightmare. It is currently unknown if unused whisper of atonement gems will transfer to non season so if it doesn't, then its not worth wasting time farming them

its not even a season ffs so lame completed it yesterday and got new lollipop pet and have quit already no point whats point of going past 126 when then gem is capped at 125.last season was amazing i farmed over 4k paragon this season quit at 900,my team the same we got so bored running past level 150 as their is no point for extra 20-22 paragon after paragon 800
I think I need to start rolling gem finding helm on follower instead of death's breath crafted set.
You can always keep the Broken Crown during GR, as DBs don't drop and you won't get many from RG, however double gem drop is useful. Otherwise I use Broken Crown, Sage's 2 pieces and RoRG on the follower during bounty runs - Diabolic hoards give many gems, so do the Resplendent and Radiant chests. ;)
My drop rate for PS's seems to be one every 3 or 4 GR's. Not exactly speed farming GR's yet, but it's not that bad. For me, anyways. Of course, I say that, now I won't get one again for like 20 GR's :/

You're unlucky. 7 with Para 1200 is super low. Me and my friends had between 10 and 20 each and we aren't even 1000 yet.

@@thierryfaquet7405 No, the gems that give you the augments. Back when I asked this, it was not confirmed that Echoing Nightmares would be a permanent fixture.
Sounds like I made a really good choice skipping this season. If only they'd make content that isn't much more efficient to do as a group. I know they always point out to this being a game they want you to play with friends, but why is every single season less solo friendly than group. This was something that would've been great for solo players, but nope it's too rare(and hard it seems) for that.
Games should push you to play with others, society right now is already pushing people to be alone too much....human interaction is what you and everyone needs more of.
@@EternallyGod I got discord and real life for that. It's like every game needs you to coordinate with your friends and have a calendar on when to play, because doing it alone is a waste of time. If you want a social game, play an MMO, Diablo 3 is not an that. It's the perfect game for few hours here or there when you have time. And as a busy person, I rarely can plan the time I have off. Am not saying we should make groups worse than solo in D3, but my god, it's terrible as solo vs in a group as is and getting worse it seems.

@@EternallyGod I got over 3000 hours in D3, so wouldn't say rarely. Just I tend not to plan it and play when I want rather than stick to schedule.

Kinda disappointed with this season compared to last 2. Same thing as last season just significantly weaker.
This season is so unimpactful, they should just permanently add the echoin nightmare mdoe and then add an actual season theme on top of it

Sorry, but this is useless. You should always use them instantly. Gems aren't an issue if you keep some goblin rings either. Use them, make your runs/farming faster, which results in more gems, more petrified screams.
I think you are not understanding how much less show up when people play solo. There are multiple people above 1k that have gotten less than 10. If you cannot get a big chunck of exp from it there is little point in wasting them.
