Surprise surprise Ten was involved in the styling for this mv like he was for Paint Me naked and he actually received this song the same time he did PMN but he said he wasn't feeling it at that time so he focused more on PMN which was something different for him because as you know NCT and especially WayV be making some hoe anthems 😂 so PMN was different but it was also who Ten felt like at that time well this young man felt like he was ready to put that sauce on Birthday and he did and he again got asked to be hands on with the styling as well as the set up for the mv and he delivered because Ten is art and he makes art out of anything he touches so here we have it. actually yes, a lot of koreans do learn japanese, not only the k-pop idols. japan was colonising korea for a long time, so ig eventually it has become a normal thing. and as far as i know, a lot of korean higher education institutions nowadays demand their potential students to take exams in japanese as in the foreign language to be learned alongside with the english (source: trust me bro, so i advise you to go and double check it in the google). and yea. after debuting on the korean music scene, k-pop idols usually go and make their japanese debut and then release another albums or singles in japanese. this is because the japanese entertainment market is much larger than the korean one, and therefore the majority of groups' content is consumed in japan. to please japanese fans and boost sales, agencies make their artists to release music in japanese because there's usually a much higher demand for it. something like this
and yea, about Ten. Ten is an NCT member, and i have to say that he is one of the first ones. he debuted far in the 2015 along with Taeyong (the leader of NCT), Doyoung, Mark and Jaehyun in NCT U with the song called 'The 7th Sense'. NCT U is a unit without fixed positions, so basically Ten has been a "back up" member until the WayV's debut in 2019. originally he debuted as a rapper and main dancer, but when WayV came up, he became one of the NCT's main vocalists. and honestly, this amazes me a lot. this boy is a pure genius - he learned how to sing and rap from the very beginning because he was scouted to SME as a dancer only. throughout the years he's shown an incredible improvement in all of these areas, and his achievements even go beyond the music. he knows how to speak in at least 4!!!! languages - Thai, Korean, English (while living in Thailand, he was attending the international school, so English is one of the most comfortable languages for him to speak in. his solo releases are often in English too because of this and because he wants everyone to understand the lyrics of his songs. ngl i appreciate it so much), Chinese and is currently learning Japanese. like... wow. he's always in the process of studying and works nonstop. for example, when he's free from any promotions, he may apper in the different kinds of shows, does the other activities and always tries to get better in something. i respect him so much.

You were curious about whether most koreans speak japanese as their second language, and no we mostly use korean only. They do have Japanese as a subject in school along with english, chinese, spanish etc, but no its not like you guys speaking english fluently. It's just one's choice whether they learn it or not.
