- In a forgotten epoch, nestled amidst valleys and mountains, there thrived a prosperous land. Yet, its inhabitants harbored a deep and ancient secret. As generations passed, the people's insatiable greed and corruption cast a dark cloud over their hearts, slowly extinguishing the light within. With each act of cruelty, the land itself absorbed their darkness, transforming the land into a shadowland, where perpetual twilight reigned and the echoes of remorseful whispers haunted the souls of the guilty.

When I read the title, I thought it was a reference to the Shadowlands, the Japanese version of the Underworld. Not that I'm disappointed, of course. If anything, this one feels like an ideal music/ambience prompt for dark fantasy writers. I would know because I'm one myself.

Absolutely gave me a deeper connection to the spiritual world the I already do . Some parts did give my heart chills n fear stepped in. Hardly anything scares me . This music is great for a relaxing meditation on a gloomy raining day . I work with Goddess Hekate . I did see her and we took a long walk long walk the underworld. She unlocked the gates I walked in . Very powerful amazing !

Black Donnellys - Family massacred by vigilante group in rural Lucan, Ontario, Canada in 1880 (I grew up very close to the massacre site.)
Bell Witch - Tennessee 1817
Sirens - Luring sailors to their doom
Borley Rectory - Borley Rectory was a house located in Borley, Essex, famous for being described as "the most haunted house in England" by psychic researcher Harry Price.

Do shadows exist without light?
It adds atmosphere! And wariness to the ones who r passing thru. A town so long not just deserted but murdered! How in such malignancy would this single light shine? By who or what? The Dead? Vampyric sorcery? Surely a trap by some evil being for the unwary. Dagon. Minions of evil portants. Why dont u step inside and tell us what horrors lie between those walls. 😊
@@BrentDelong1253 Yes! True shadowland. Nobody knows what they r. Not all human but some weird beings.Shadows (shades) are darker then regular shadows. You see one and its like looking into an absence of light so intense that its like looking into the negative lite. An abyss going 4ever. Never look into it. The thing pulls you into itself. But yes. If u ever see one even in the dark you will see it. Research it. Interesting!
