What Diggins did at the end of that race is a rare moment in sports. She was invincible at that moment.

@@guittadabe5214 because we watch them fight and claw every weekend against spoiled Scandinavians and we know cross country skiing is a small sport so we se the benefit of other counties getting some results.

WE SCANDINAVIANS? That is just a stupid comment. Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark IS NOT ONE COUNTRY. But i am glad that a person from Norway can praise a clean skier. Good on you.

Favorite moment in Olympic history. Was amazing to see that live. The drought situation for the US in the event, the crazy finish, and the announcer losing his $h!t. Just perfect in every way

Goosebumps, right? "Here comes Diggins! HERE COMES DIGGINS!!" is in the top two most iconic Winter Olympics calls of all time, right up there with Al Michaels' "Do you believe in miracles?!"

Great to see this kind of respect from other countries who are so good in the sport. Charlotte Kalla is one of my favorite winter athletes but so few people here even know who she is. Her relay in 2014 was one of the most epic comebacks I've ever seen in any sport.
Perhaps now a few more Americans will realize how exciting cross-country can be (especially the sprints!) and how great of athletes people like Kalla and Marit Bjorgen are.

XC is a brutal sport. Whole-body exertion. They are the best cardio athletes in the world. According to her coach, Jessie Diggins can deal with more physical pain from exertion than any athlete he has ever seen. She powers through the 'pain wall' better than anyone. Mind over matter. Go, Jessie.

If you have never cross country skied, then you can only guess just how difficult and exhausting it is to perform at this level, especially in the longer races. Believe me when I say it requires the mind, body and commitment of a champion just to participate, let alone win. My headband's off to them.
