Loser mentality, this was the biggest night for the Crew's history. Everyone who travels to Mexico knows that the possibility of getting upset stomach are high due to our sensibilities to certain food. The club should have prepared for the two days they were their with their own catering and water to avoid such issues. What small club mindset from the MLS.
Actually, the CREW has a group of people that makes sure everything is right, hotel accommodations, food and menu, transportation, etc.
Excuses, when other foreigners go to mexico for the first time and fall in love with the people, culture, and yup the food

Mexico is being known for playing dirty outside the field. So many times when the USMNT stayed the night in Mexico, mysteriously fireworks were fired up right outside their hotel room at 1:00 am.
The only thing I would say is that these players are used to traveling internationally so they know the amount of sickness that’s normal and the amount that they got wasn’t normal

The Columbus Crew players started the game fast and dynamic, they almost scored. The psychological impact came when Pachuca scored the 2nd goal. You guys showed their very intense training using the altitude masks, not sickly, puny, diarrheic players. If the main Coach did not preview preparing their special diet, then he deserves to lose.

Here in the u.s. from nfl to nba nhl mlb, it is widely known u never let the opposing teams cooks or anyone foreign to ur team, cook ur meals prior to game. People have got ill and quite obviously the catering staff purposely did this so the teams for many years have brought their own staff to cook to avoid this. Why didn’t the mls team do this? Either way if it was or not, cook ur own meals before a final. Then again did they go out and eat street food or food they’re not accustomed to? That can also get u sick especially if ur not known to eating it.

Monterrey had the right to complain about their players being injured and sleeping at the airports. While these MLS clubs slept at home with their families

The real issue is that setting a single-legged final at 8,000 feet is bonkers! The final needs to be two-legged or a neutral site.
La Paz, Bolivia is also high altitude. When Brazil plays at home or neutral site, Brazil win-loss is 20-0. In La Paz, it is 4-5.

Last years this tournament was all in the USA.. and it had no meaning for the name of sport! Since MLS had a huge advantage and most teams playing in home stadiums, we all knew if this tournament will take place at least 50/50 most MLS team had no chance wining since the game is definately played different in mexico, in a home game and with your people! It's more intense and the altitude is always complicated for teams outside of mexico. Last year most mexican player had home games to play during the weekend then travel millions of miles with a day of rest in between a concachampions game while all the U.S teams simply rested and waited for the mexican teams to go to them. Now this is a competition and this is what makes the sport even better making it 50 50 like copa libertadores where each team gets to play at home.
