Bro I got two cricket bats both worth £70 and they are incredible. You want a good quality bat that is cheap. Go to India. Trust me. I hit 3 fifty’s with one I got from their for anyone wondering
The real elephant in the room is Indian brands selling in the UK at GM/B3 prices with overheads of sixpence h'appeny. If it is English Willow it's had two drying sessions on a ship. They don't last as long as UK made examples.
2:30 perfect straight bat. You know, you could create your own cricket academy after a few seasons and be the head coach. ✨Can You Cricket Academy✨. If I were living in the UK I’d definitely sign up 😂😂. In all seriousness though great technique and keep it up!
@@canyoucricket Went into the shop today, very informitive and knowledgeable, have placed an order for a grade 3 Pulse (don't play quite as high a standed as u 😂). P.S I used gareths code 🎉🎉

That’s all good but how would those that can’t afford even a half decent bat recognise the differences if they were buying from a standard sports shop or from someone advertising online (Facebook etc)? I wouldn’t expect any reputable bat maker to be scamming customers with counterfeit equipment because there name is at risk but from a standard sports shop, there is less affect on their name, many sports shops will carry GM or GN or Kookaburra for etc, how would you tell the difference then as many people would go down this route as bat for their kids or if they are just playing lower level cricket, it would be nice if they could have an idea of how to tell the difference without being an expert bat maker.
Like Gareth said, even he would be fooled. All you can do it look for colour changes in the wood, grain straightness and an even spacing. As sports goods stores don't let you have a hit to try a bat out (you used to be able to when the bats were rolled, not dehydrated), you can use the 'ball on a stick', and some what get a feel of it's middle, 'ping'. But yes, this is an issue, and I think that's the point of the video, you need an expert to know that you're not getting ripped off, sadly...
