It's so fun to see Mango fight for his life every time he makes a building time-lapse!
I was really scared for the horse this time.
Same, don’t know if horse can restore, or short of hp forever?
@@minercraftal He can feed the horse haybales to heal it.
@@minercraftal it heals slowly over time too
He probably could spawnproof his in-progress build better. He can use Redstone torches but he decided to live on the edge :')

There is something really cathartic about watching ilmanga, a god at everything technical minecraft, not know the difference between a sculk sensor and shrieker.
ilmanga, the plural of ilmango
@@Rippertear cus there are multiple copies of him that's how he cranks out so many vids

@@Skylax-o7 Perhaps we ARE the Ilmanga?
The amount of hours it must take to balance this series, scicraft and a funtioning sleep schedule seems so impossible to me! But damn do i appreciate it!
its pretty sad
@@Triggerma I mean it's being a professional minecraft player, clearly loves what he does and is apprecaited. If that's sad, I don't want to know what I am
On a previous video he commented that some of the scicraft videos were prerecorded (I assume before he started this series). So just lots of editing
my theory is that exists 3 ilmangos or more
@@Triggerma it really isn’t, this guys so talented he gets payed for playing a block game, you wish you had his life :)
Here's an interesting fact for spider farms I discovered recently by looking at the pathfinding code (although this is probably not useful for you since I don't think you even have access to any "dangerous" blocks right now): putting dangerous blocks, like magma blocks, fire or soul fire, lava, cactus, etc. above any column of solid blocks will prevent mobs from pathfinding to them at all. If you do this with any solid blocks within a 31x15x31 area of the spiders, they will never climb on their own (the dangerous block generally needs to have air or something like a carpet or tripwire above it for this to work though - any block with no hitbox is also fine on top of it except for rails)
Mostly useful for avoiding issues with spider spawner farms, but yeah
also i feel like it'll be pretty cool to see the progression of the farms he builds over time as he gets access to new building blocks - we already have acacia => sandstone => prismarine
oh that's neat!!
Do berry bushes count as dangerous blocks?
@@meekumanu just tested it and yes they do
oh yeah he has those doesn't he
could be useful for the cobweb farm when he builds that i guess but it's generally more useful for avoiding digging out a huge area for spider spawners
Thanks for sharing !
This is a very interesting discovery.
Replying so this is more visible.
While looking at the boat clock, I thought of a way to possibly expand your current storage methods for farms via setting up a large loop of chest boats cycling under a hopper; maybe if you want to afk/tickwarp for longer periods of time you can use it in the future
that seems hellish to unload though
@@boomer.beasley just break the hopper above and replace it below pointing into a chest.
i really like how progress in this series is visualized by changes in block usage, early farms were made with acacia, then sandstone and now prismarine
A Shrieker only activates if there is a Sculk Sensor nearby, or if you step on it, so you would have been ok approaching it with normal blocks. Also it didn't work when you shot it because only the Sculk Sensor detects that, not the Shrieker
Can't you also throw items on the shrieker
Edit: I'm wrong. Was only in snapshot
I think it can also be Redstone activated. So I'm pretty sure he could have had a pressure plate or trip wire set up sk he could activate it from afar with projectiles
@@cavemanpretzel9520 a bug/unannounced change removed shrieker's redstone functionality starting 22w15a
@@fjodorkaad4403 according to wiki yes
"A sculk shrieker activates when any player, mob, projectile, or dropped item makes contact with it. Sculk shriekers are also activated by any sculk sensor triggered within an 8-block spherical radius of itself."
@@YounesLayachi yeah I know. I said it was only in snapshots. Didn't realize it was unannounced tho, which makes sense at how it slipped my mind
That mob distribution is really interesting. The zombie villager spawn might make sense in that biome because it fits the theme.
My initial guess is that the biome also has a very high chance to generate abandoned villages. If thats the case, then having the biome would give high probability for an abandoned village + zombie villagers, matching the aesthetic.
@@mytherrus2068 Indeed, I came to say that. My experience is with Bedrock Edition but I know that my long-term world started in 1.16.220 had almost exclusively zombie villages in Taiga/spruce biomes. I think there have been some changes in zombie and empty village spawning rates since 1.17 for Bedrock but there's still definitely a lot more zombie villages in those biomes.
Or for the same reason cactus gives 10x XP when smelted xD
And in this episode: Mango forgets the difference between a skulk sensor and shrieker. lol
WHY DOES EVERYONE SPELL SCULK WITH TWO K'S?
he also said its on the 3rd shriek. Even tho its always been the 4th one.
@@jgcodes2020 cope
@@jgcodes2020 cos the difference between those letters is arbitrary
He also had to rewatch his own video on shrieker properties
There was something so satisfying about seeing Mango running multiple times from the Warden sounds when there wasn't even a warden present. Had me laughing so hard I was crying. Goes to show how well they actually got the fear of the warden down.
Brave Sir Mango ran away.
Bravely ran away away.
When danger reared it's ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
Yes, brave Sir Mango turned about
And gallantly he chickened out.

He beat a very brave retreat.

“I have a horrible memory”
Remembers all the technical Minecraft spawn rates and where and how certain mobs spawn 😂
*Has a wooden sword* and talks about killing the warden - legend
A power IV bow deals 20 damage per shot, not accounting for gravity :))
@@thisgameroverhere so i looked that up on the wiki just to make sure i'm not spreading misinformation, and ... almost, Power IV bow deals between 14 and 23 damage (critical damage is random).
So we could say 19 on average , and more with gravity
@@YounesLayachi you could theoretically shoot a block with a fully charged power iv bow, shoot multiple blocks, and use an extended redstone line to light tnt at the proper time in order to propel the arrow, since for java edition speed=damage, and multiple tnt could be optimized, and dripstone could in theory be manipulated to get the warden low, maybe even kill it for a catalyst
@@davidsoto5851 Minecraft railguns can already one shot the enderdragon, I'm sure they can one shot a warden too.
Dripstone has been used to kill the wither before, though I'm not sure about its mechanics. A warden would need maybe 15 falling pointed dripstone entities instead of 9
I really like how not only is the prismarine an easy block to get but it also has the benefit of being the most mesmerizing block in time lapse!
I loved the shot you took while riding back to the base from the spider farm, really cool looking.
I get a shot of adrenaline Everytime I get a notification for this series!
I’m torn.. on one hand, I’m really enjoying ilmango on a solo play through. On the other hand.. PUT UP SOME DAMN GUARDRAILS!! Haha my heart spends the entire time in my throat with all the jumping around corners and ledges!
I can’t believe this man fought not just a warden, but also an entire spider farm
I discovered your channel with the first episode and I love your content ! Thanks you !
This series has been a watch on sight series for me. I’m really enjoying it.
Love the series mango, the warden crawling through the ground was very funny as you usually don't see it from that angle
I'm appreciative of the world download in ep 25, because studying the spider farm up close is teaching me a lot about OG redstone. Like the boat clock latch and the vertical redstone techniques.
You’re making these skyblock videos faster than I can even watch them
Along with memorable Ilmango quotes we also saw him fight a warden before getting cobblestone. Great episode!
Just a little advice from a hardcore world, always keep bed on you, no matter how many beds you have elsewhere, you never know when you need to skip the night especially when everything you build is super efficient mob farm
ilmango- Makes mindblowing hyper efficient farms and plays multiple different extremely difficult skyblock series.
Also ilmango- Wraps a single Shrieker with zero Sensors around it in Wool.
Wow I can’t believe you actually fought a spider farm, your game knowledge is incredible
Funny thing is, I read the title like that too, but they somehow actually _did_ fight the spider farm while building it 😂
Love the awesome time lapses with reliably good music and casual creeper explosions.
I must say, I feel robbed for only having discovered your channel recently - this is a most excellent series, and the spider farm montage is probably my favourite build montage so far!
This is the only time I can claim I know more than ilmango with regards to minecraft lmao! (the shrieker strike system, as well as the fact that shriekers only activate with redstone, sculk sensors or standing on them) I thought he would make like a safe redstone triggering system from the upper platform. This does my ego good tho :D
Thank god you used the vines! Couldn't have watched another rather bigger build without them since you put the effort in it to get em in the first place 😂
I am loving this series I find it super interesting the ways you are figuring out how to workaround the challenges you've made for yourself. keep it up :)
Nice building music on the spider farm! Good to hear something different from the normal minecraft, montage music.
i find it really interesting stretching these low-tech solutions to their limit. very resourceful

Why don't he make farms for bedrock edition
Yeah, another one of your great videos!
Man, you are pushing them out like crazy! Thanks for your work!!
Time-lapse music was amazing plus bonus mob fight!
I absolutely love this series, especially how you show all of the work that happens to make it work
Just loving the progress on this single player worlds are just so much better paced I mean scicraft working together is great but y’all are so efficient at making things it goes by too quickly
Say him to make iron farm for bedrock please 🥺
To prevent spiders from hanging on edges, I typically have the last part of the water be over nothing. Basically, I have a sign below and an open fence gate in front of the last part of flowing water if that makes sense. I was able to make a center drop spawner using that idea, but it can be easily converted to a natural spawn farm with a redstone clock.
When I am playing by myself I make much smaller farms. You could get away with just two platforms. It would save you a bunch of building time, and a bunch of resources; and you would still get more than what you need.
It's always so hilarious to watch him strugle with mob 🤣
Love all the modded features, makes skyblock so much more interesting
It would be really cool if in future videos you upload your schematics, as a total noob to minecraft and redstone in general I'm completely stumped on what you did to get the flushing to work on all 6 trapdoors, eventually the camera angle got to the point where I couldn't see what you were placing so I had to guess, and I can only get one side to open/close.
Another awesome video in your amazing series! The music for your building montage really took things up a notch. For anyone wondering, the song is Relax It's Only Me by Sven Lindvall

I rarely ever watch let’s play videos but yours are informative and exciting. Very interesting and fascinating content.
I appreciate that you left in the tussle with the mobs during the time lapse 😆
let’s gooooo! i’ve been waiting for the next episode
Funny watching an expert being almost completely clueless in a common area of knowledge (the sculk and Warden), and knowing the deep and fundamental aspects of the game, but running away when faced with a zombie.
the warden killing platform has a single raised block that can probably spawn hostile mobs at night; I can't wait for ilmango to get blown into the void by a creeper the next time he returns lmao
I love the music you played during the spider farm time lapse, keep up the excellent picks!
yep!
13:50 running away as a smart person and not a coward 🤣
this man is so smart that he proved the minecraft wiki wrong
it is comforting seeing him misplace blocks. I always do it myself
I am limited by technology of my time
-howard stark
This goes to show that clock he mosly use. Boat clock is large compared to normal redstone clock
I have to say I'm really enjoying this series. Singleplayer ilmango has a different feel to it, but I like it. It's not something that often appears on the channel (well now obviously).
Good job escaping the mobs while building. Always love a good outcome!
Hope you don't die again. 🤔
Really enjoying this series! Good vibes and good times, thanks for sharing!
Shrieker can't remote trigger without a skulk sensor :) nothing to be afraid of until you stand on it.
I feel like...going for a wantering trader "farm" might be the best option; you've got the emeralds, we're just waiting for mr hrrmm to show up, and offer oak or dark oak.
If you wanted to use a sensor in a fish farm for instance, you could place down the catalyst and sand and trap the bubbles in the place you want the sensor to generate and break any other shriekers that form until you get a sensor and then build around it.
This is the best series going. Love it. Great work as always
Mango I really think you should make a dedicated storage system now so that when you get more stuff that needs a home you have a spot for it
I like the casual
“Spider farm and kill warden” like they are anywhere close to the same level.
“Next episode we try to make pie and fight god”
Honestly spider farms are some of the most difficult things to desigj in minecraft, so yeah they're pretty similar
I always find it interesting how many people forget that shiekers do not activate by themselves and that they need a sensor to activate near them unless you directly step on them. Also the 3 shriek warning not 3rd shriek summon...
When playing survival vanilla worldgen, it is usually not worth disabling sensors as they vastly outnumber the shriekers.
So players only care about disabling the shriekers, and sometimes sensors can be hidden underground and they still activate the shrieker.
I.e no thought is given to the existence of sensors since there are too many of them to be taken care of, instead of the shriekers
everyone forgets that shriekers themselves don't detect noises, only if you step on them or if a redstone signal triggers them (like from a sculk sensor), AND that the shrieker gives the darkness effect every time, even if it's not spawning a warden. don't worry lmao I did it too
loving the series and upload schedule, well done!
I don‘t even play minecraft… But I just can’t stop watching ilmango😮
I was so proud of you for remembering your vines this time :D
Man it was like I was almost waiting for you to upload all day I'm really enjoying this series
Love the autorecognized "thank you" subtitle at 9:40 and another one at 12:20
NO, THANK *YOU*
That Glow Squid did drop like a shooting star at 3:07
im so confused, how do you do the camerawork? do you have like a filmer doing the panning? its so cleaaaaan
The old way to do it was to have a second account in spectator mode. It's still valid but for the fancy angles and stuff they now use Replay Mod.
thank you!

if you get the silktouch book wouldn't you be able to make an ice farm and make ice tracks and use a chest in boat to transfer items across? or am i missing something
He doesn't have a way to (reasonably) make an Anvil, yet. If he gets a silk touch tool as an item drop, then it could work.
@@spinomitegames9000 he is already trying to get a silktouch book though, so i assume he has a plan to get an anvil

the camera angles are amazing, love this series!!

These boattimers are actually amazing and I love them. I think i'm going to try them on bedrock for fun. Lol
It is absolutely wild to me that *ONLY* the "Old Growth Pine Taiga", and not even the other Old Growth Spruce Taiga, has a Zombie spawn weight of 100 instead of 95, and more importantly has a Zombie Villager spawn weight of 25 instead of 5. My assumption at first was that this was a reference to some genre of horror film or something, but seeing the Zombie weight at the generic default of 100 makes me wonder if this wasn't some oversight that has yet to be corrected or that no one has bothered to alter at this point. This fact wasn't highlighted as interesting anywhere on the Zombie Villager wiki page, nor mentioned outside of the mob spawn weight table on the Old Growth Taiga wiki page, though I think it probably should be mentioned in both page's "Trivia" section personally, if not explicitly highlighted elsewhere on the pages. There's always more to learn about this game I swear, anyway thanks for the knowledge and I'm loving this series
I always wait for skyblock series 😊
Time to fight a spider farm
I taught, that desert is nice for most mob farms, since zombies can only spawn with a lower chance and husks need sky access to spawn, making all the not zombie mobs more likely
that's true, but only if you want to get gun powder and bones. It has no advantage for a spider only farm, because we already prevent all zombies and other mobs from spawning
Favorite sky block series by far
The music you used for the spider farm time lapse sounds like the soundtrack for a bad doom knockoff. I like it
