Alot that is now taken place with DC is James Gunn. DC made a deal with the devil and it has ruined their brand even frther. Watching the Flash, it looked like Gunn edited out many parts and cut the film up. Clearly Ben Affleck was removed...mostly. It looks as if they CGI him in the Bat Suit. @@ViolenceSolvesProblems Vin Diese has it as well. Quite disappointing. Still love Statham though and he might have a bit of a looser clause since in Fast 7, Shaw lost the final battle to Toretto. Yes, the fight was even but he was the one that ended up in prison. Spoilers: Also in Wrath of Man, while he did "win" it wasn't a fistfight because he was too injured and it was way better for the plot to have him shoot the guy in cold blood. So yes, Statham has the win clause but it seems a little bit less strict. That is just speculation from me, though. Could just be that Statham is just more believable in fight scenes for me.
When signing movie contracts The Rock usually makes it clear that his character, under no circumstances, can ever lose a fight in the movie. Now, him being a villain in Shazam movie would basically make it necessary for Black Adam to be defeated at least once by the movie's main hero. The Rock, with his fragile ego, simply doesn't allow the studios to portray his characters in a negative light whatsoever, and that's how the Black Adam movie was made, and that's how the DCEU has almost been turned into Rock's own vanity project.
Bro… you can’t be this stupid?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this is why an IQ test should be given before people are able to post comments on the internet. 1) that rumor has been debunked 2) the fast and furious contract stated he “gives as good as he gets”. Nothing about not losing 3) he LOST that fight in fast and furious. Which completely negates your argument, and 4) there is ZERO evidence that this clause followed on his future contracts.
@@Bullboy_Adventures He can never lose a fight. Getting knocked out by accident or voluntarily doesn't count as fight. He did get knocked out several times before, mainly in Furious 7 (where they had to change the script later on so that he can appear in final battle all healed), but he was never been beat in a fair fight. Many other actors tend to put these ridiculous egotistical conditions into their contracts (mainly Vin Diesel).
I'd like to see this so called contractual agreement people keep referencing. I may agree he plays the same character in every movie ( with some exceptions, be cool or pain and gain come to mind) but they usually revolve around him losing a fight around the mid point and then ultimately winning in the end. he even did it in Moana as Maui and you can barely say it's him. it's his go to formula.

An attitude like this… makes that person a bad guy. 😂 Not to mention that The Rock has been caught lying on social media multiple times. The dude has turned himself into an overbearing and bloated brand now. He’s lost all touch with what fans used to actually like about him. He’s a bad guy now.
He could’ve played Black Adam as an aggrieved father who’s pissed pff that the wizards handed his child a dangerous weapon & a burden that no child is fit to bear. Let him come to the conclusion that the wizards regularly choose children as their champions because they’re easy to manipulate. Have him slaughter most of the council in retaliation. This would give his character the shade of moral grey that he needs. Also set up his conflict with Shazam in that he objects to letting children have such power.
@@TB_3300 - Indeed... at least comic book movies casuals were already familiar with Venom. Casuals didn't know who Black Adam was before the Rock started to advertise him. I discovered that character back in 2010 thanks to the *Batman:TBATB* episode _"The Power of Shazam!"_ which kicked ass, And so did the *Justice League Action* 4 episodes long _"Shazam Slam"_ saga... I don't use that word often, but JL:Action is a genuine underrated show. And that 4 episodes long Shazam arc that served as the show's opener was like a really cool animated movie, with Kevin Conroy playing Batman, Sean Astin playing Billy Batson, and Gary Cole playing Black Adam. I highly recommend this show to anyone who wants to get more Kevin Conroy Batman, because he's in a lot of episodes, and several of them make him the star of the episode... In particular, the episode *"Time Share"* is clearly a love letter to Batman:TAS, and consists of a team up between Batman and Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes, voiced by Jake T Austin, who also voiced the character in the DCAMU movies "Teen Titans vs the Justice League" and "Teen Titans: The Judas Contract") to stop Chronos from... ... According to various sources, The Rock had a vision for the future of the DCEU- multiple movies (including a Justice League movie) building up in phases to an epic clash between Black Adam and Superman, which is what he meant when he talked about "the hierarchy of power" changing in the DCEU. I don't think he's got a fondness for Black Adam- I think he was just stuck with that character due to being attached to him for so long (failing to realise / accept that the main appeal of him playing the character is that he rarely plays villains in the first place). I think what Rock REALLY wanted was to play Superman- and if he couldn't, then he (through his ex-wife, who happens to be Cavill's agent btw) would make the franchise about The Rock vs Superman. He was actually making power plays behind the scenes not just for control of this movie, but for control of the DCEU itself, even trying to get family and friends in positions of influence in WB so they could pull strings for him. When we're talking about his ego getting out of control, we mean he literally thought he could be as big an icon as Superman...and he was wrong. I think a combination of his mega-success along with knowing he's getting a bit on in years made him want to attach himself to something successful and concrete that he could dominate, and this proved to be a poor choice. Now let's see if he screws up a return to the ring.
I don't wish failure on people but man I really hope this disaster humbled him some, dude just assumed he was taking over the DCEU and didn't even bother seeing what the higher ups had planned and did whatever he wanted, only for it to blow up in his face
@@someonewhocommentsonyoutub3779 To be fair, the "higher ups" at Warner Bros had made a giant mess of things and never had a coherent plan to begin with; the problem was, Dwayne's own plan was hardly any better.
I never felt that Mr. Johnson brought that much depth to the screen. As a wrestler, his on screen persona was sufficient for the sometimes campy and always over-dramatic genre. However, for roles requiring more than good humor, big muscles and a scowl... it just didn't seem like his home. But because this is what his fans liked and it generated income for the industry, he seemed obliged to double down. IMO, we've been into the super--hero genre long enough to where you've got to come with something other than what we've seen before... and amplified.
His charisma in the movie scene worked for awhile, but the more time passes, the more its obvious he's just a bad actor. If you're talking about wrestlers turned actors, Cena and Batista are so much better than he is
If black Adam was the main villian if the first shazam, and it had the flashbacks from this film in it with black Adam replacing doctor savanna, it would have made the first shazam more successful, as well as having the character already established, so then they could have given him a solo movie with him trying to be better and have a similar plot to the actual movie without the origin elements, and it would have made black Adam and shazam 2 successful. But at least now we get a new universe so at least there's that
@@owensanfordstuff Why would the rock try so hard to have a Superman vs Black Adam fight when Black Adam is LITERALLY Shazam's arch nemesis???? That's like having Flash , Batman and Supergirl fight General Zod Oh wait....

And they want aquaman of all. Ppl. To lead it now lol.... Not that comically he's a bad character.. His comics are pretty good... But it's ironic that he's known as a joke character to suddenly be thrust into the main spotlight
@@shadixbloodshadowI think Gunn likes choosing characters that aren’t as popular because it do is harder for people to cry about changes made when they inevitably happen, look at peacemaker or guardians of the galaxy, they weren’t popular to general audiences or as well known and he managed to turn those characters into iconic, funny, emotional and likeable ones while adding some changes to their stories that worked pretty well. I don’t like aquaman as well, I am more of a Batman (literally the only thing Batman I couldn’t fully get into was the Batman vs Superman movie tbh) and Superman person, but I do have hope Gunn does an interesting take on DC characters, just hope they do add more characters like cyclone or Dr. Fate, they seemed like pretty unique additions to live action movies, I have only seen Dr Fate be used in animation (unless I haven’t watched a reeeeaally old live action movie that might have included him at some point).
The worst part is that I didn’t even really dislike the movie. It wasn't anything amazing or memorable. But I remember having a decent time watching it but constantly thinking about missed opportunities they could have used.
Same, I remember thinking it was fun but constantly thinking “why the hell didn’t Waller call in The Shazam Family?!” He literally can’t be hurt by mortal weapons and science, with the exception of Dr Fate The Justice Society could do nothing to him! Another genius idea from Ms I’m Gonna Hire Harley Quinn To Fight Superman Level Threats
As someone who is a Big Rock fan as a wrestler and a actor, I agree with everything you said. I do think it was his ego that caused the downfall of this movie. All the behind the things stuff he had a hand in really stifled the film
You can tell Dwayne “the rock” Johnson, wanted to re-invent the character Black Adam without really knowing it’s history. Wanted to get the public to see the character like a “Superman” but comic book fans wasn’t falling for it. He threw Shazam under the bus and he’s a total diva to work with. Had he played his cards right, come out in Shazam movie and maybe slowly see how the public perceives him but he wasn’t going for it.
I don't think the actual fans of the characters were the problem here, it was more the Rock acting like Black Adam was some super famous character whose name alone would carry several movies. He didn't seem to realize that the general audience knows even less about him that they do Shazam, so appearing in the stinger of the first movie and being the Big Bad of Shazam 2 would have been his best move. Maybe have the Black Adam movie take place between the 2 Shazam movies might have worked, but Teth-Adam would have had to have a much bigger role than just the stinger I mentioned earlier in the first film, to give the spin-off the boost it needed. Keep Dr Sivana as the Big Bad, but have Adam around in the 3rd act as an observer or something
Honestly with what Billy’s arc is in the first movie (abusing his powers and having to learn to use them for good) I think what could’ve been good use of Adam would be to have Billy maybe get locked away too for abusing his powers and meeting Adam in captivity
@apexsmokepacker but Billy wasn’t at first, that was the point Freddy made in the movie. Billy had all that power and instead of making a difference in the world he decided to use it to steal from ATM’s, get into strip clubs and charge people money for selfies and performances. He wasn’t terrible but he was abusing his power and I could totally envision a scene of The Wizard returning and calling Billy out on it, locking him in the same place he trapped Black Adam
The Rock Black Adam vs. Levy's Shazam could have been a real good hero/villain dichotomy. Rock's cold intensity vs. Levi's goofier character could have really made a great contrast. But alas it wasn't meant to be. Also Pierce Brosnon, best part of Black Adam.
If they wanted to make Black Adam an antihero, he should’ve started out as a villain (fighting Shazam) who slowly became less villainous. Making a Black Adam movie isn’t necessarily the problem because most superheroes who get movies these days are totally unheard of. But the film they made was so basic and misguided. The discussion between Hawkman and Black Adam about killing people was so empty that it just made the heroic side seem so cartoony. A better film would’ve explored the philosophies of why killing criminals is bad, but this film cared more about making Black Adam the most powerful character in the DC universe
@@williamdaviddiazcuchimaque7511 Como que no lo dijeron nada. Ha habido varias reportes en artículos, en cuentas de redes sociales. También Batman matado en otras películas. Y en los principios del cómic.
A solo joker worked, as the Joker is the only comicbook villain to be as widely known and popular as his superhero counterpart. Black Adam, however, is mostly unknown to most. His hero counterpart isn’t even that popular either, which really hinders the idea of a solo BA.
This reminds me of Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique. Same exact issue, refusing to play a villain, wanting to be the protagonist and holding production hostage until they got what they wanted.
That was a rumor that had no basis in reality. Plus Mystique is neither protagonist nor antagonist, which Lawrence straddled perfectly in all of the movies she was in. So she also never "got what she wanted' (even though the truth is she didn't 'want' anything and has been nothing but appreciative for that role). Sorry, just not a fan of false rumors being shared as truths.
Pierce Brosnan and Haldis Hodge literally save this movie for be a total catastrophe, I was way more interested in Hawkman and Dr.Fate instead of Mr.Jerkwad Adam, they are waaaay more likable and interesting.
You know, all the Rock movies where he’s the main character have to have him win at the end, so I basically just spoiled every single Rock movie with him as the main character.
Agree 100%. Although I absolutely liked the Black Adam movie AND Shazam 2. They were nothing compared to what they could be. I feel really bad for the Justice Society as I would have loved to see more of that entire cast
In regards to the Shazam sequel we got, they should have stuck with the villain advertised at the end of that previous movie, Mr Mind. That would have made more sense than Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu. Mr Mind is a more interesting villain and there would be no skittles product placement in the movie.
@@thewatchman13 Yes that was really dumb they had a very good build up for Mr Mind and Dr Sivana They screwed Mark Strong twice who played two iconic DC villains perfectly I feel so bad for him

Black Adam was Simply Miscasted by Dwayne Johnson taking too much Control to this Film than being Faithful to the Source Material and instead of making Black Adam as the Tyrannical Villain by given Power to the Wrong Person and be the Antagonist of Shazam 2,his Ego got the Better of Him and Remake Him into his Image as an Antihero, because of this It Fundamentally Destroys the DCEU into a Mess,Ignoring the Shazam Lore and Bringing Henry Cavill as Superman was a Mistake, and the Story made No Sense, this Movie might be One of the Worst Comic Book Adaptations probably as Bad as Bloodshot.
I'd definitely would love to see your review of the movie Black Adam. You're absolutely right the Rock's ego ruined it in Cape Marvel/ Shazam he has always been his greatest foe because they have the exact same powers. BA wants to rule the world and be worshipped as a God.
Even in the comics Black Adam did have his own set of problems when it came to protecting Kandak, but he usually was a foil to Shazam. I felt like the movie could’ve worked as a prequel to Shazam. They could’ve done something similar to Godzilla vs Kong and had it been a back and forth between the two.
I feel like this is a hangover from being raised in the wrestling business. Seems like wrestlers are obsessed with not losing when they get to a certain level. Being raised by a wrestler and being involved in the business sure had an impact on the rock.
You also have to remember that when Dwayne Johnson was FIRST ATTACHED to the Shazam movies in the later 2000's it was actually BEFORE the MCU fully developed and studios tried pushing major connected cinematic universes. Like yeah super hero movies were still big bucks but not only did you rely on just on specific super hero or team and their stories without connecting it to other major heroes but they were actually guided more by the actor or by an ideal the director/team had that didn't as much rely on the original source material you see more today. So I could see why Rock at the time would want a Black Adam solo project finding greater acclaim with the character but yeah trying to be the entire face of the DCEU and not associating with Shazam IMHO is a very stupid idea. I guess you could argue the original main villain of Shazam/DC Captain marvel is either Dr. Sivanna or Mr. Mind and though Black Adam was created in the classic age, actually only became more developed like decades later in the 2000s so it would make sense for you to wait to use Black Adam for the first movie. But yeah if Black Adam needs his own movie at least sow the seeds for a clash with Shazam and yeah have a sequel where the two clash. I mean if the Rock has such an ego even just have it called "Black Adam vs Shazam" and give him top billing but yeah that would have made more sense then Shazam Wrath of the gods: as we find out that Mr. Mind was planning with Sivanna to pit the two against one another and have them take one another out... not the best plot sure but it makes sense for this world. Then it makes sense to have build up the cast of Black Adam some so you have them join his family and have this huge brawl between the two groups like imagine how sweet THAT would have been. But yeah seems like Rock thought his part of the Shazam franchise was too big for that and wanted instead to have a sequel where he fought Superman which...wouldn't be nearly as interesting. I mean even personality wise what would Supes still be stotic and sort of bland like he was in the other DCEU movies (as his sattempts at brighter comedy in Justice League weren't good) cause that doesn't play as well against Billy's more chilidhs goofball personality for Shazam. Still solid breakdown of this first part and I stopped being Dwayne Johnson and started being the rock.
He could of done great being a Villain and popping in and out, but he wanted to be the main star and Black Adam just could never live up to that. Not being in the Shazam film is just crazy and says a lot about him and his intention, just glad it was all confirmed.
I wanted one thing from this movie. A good JSA. Imagine if when Hawkman and Dr. Fate had been debating who should sacrifice themselves, Carter had said “at least this way I’ll be reunited with Shiera.” It would have been epic.
The only thin I really like about this movie was the costume design. It feels like these characters jumped right out of the comic panel into real life. It’s at least better than what we got in Wakanda Forever, even though that movie is significantly better everywhere else.
He shoulda just played Black Adam as a bad guy in Shazaam, I can say with certainty, that would have got him more attention. Bad guys are an integral part to any universe, possibly more important than the heroes, as the heroes are nothing without a good bad guy, the stories don't hit as hard without a good bad guy, and Dwayne playing a bad guy well could have brought tons of attention. You don't have to be the hero, or even the victor to be a fan favorite. Some of my favorite characters across tons of media are the villains.
Hell you can do like new 52 black Adam is a dark hero in olden times his brutal actions toward bad guys was heroic today not so much They could have played that angle with black Adam becoming increasingly frustrated people don’t see him a hero anymore
Celebrities shouldn't touch characters if they don't actually care about the source material. If they just want to use the IP to pursue their own agenda they should step away from the project.
Central to the character of Shazam is that his civilian identity is a child. It's the superhero version of "Big". Delaying the second Shazam movie until Billy's actor was 20 ripped the heart out of that movie.
It's simple really, he doean't want to star in a movie with shazam because he would have to lose since he's the enemy of shazam, but he can't lose because it's in his contract
It was clear from the start that this is meant to be The Rock's passion project, I think he never meant for it to be included on the established DCEU that time.
What's the most fascinating for me is how much of a stranglehold Johnson had on the character. Who thought it was a good idea to give Johnson that much leniency and autonomy with one of their licensed characters? How could Johnson unilaterally decide where and how Black Adam could appear and be depicted? That's on the level of boneheadedness akin to the executive that waived all Star Wars licensing rights to Lucas.
All they needed to do was have Henry Cavill, superman, and Shazam both fly down or enter the picture with Superman saying we need to talk. It’s still would work.
The Rock has got to be one of the most overrated actors of all time. He just plays the same character in every movie he is in, all his movies just have the same theme in that it's all about family, and he has the ego the size of a yacht his contract says he can't lose a single fight in an action scene. I don't understand why so many people love him.
The irony is that Hawkman is all “We Don’t kill” Yeah ok so the JS doesn’t kill in the DVEU but most members of the JL certainly have. WW killed Ares AND Steppenwulf Supes killed Zod Batman killed countless criminals Aqua man definitely killed some sea people and countless endangered species in his solo movie And Cyborg probably would kill if he had to. So if the JS is ok with the JL killing why do they have a problem with Black Adam?
We also all know how much the rock doesn’t like taking an L on screen so he likely didn’t want to have to lose to him in the movies . Although black Adam is his main antagonist there are plenty of villains in the Shazam comics that could’ve been used for both movies .

Actually, the fact there is a Black Adam movie could be good if he was the main villain of Shazam 1 and a cameo team-member in Shazam 2. But you are right, separating Black Adam from Shazam killed both franchises.

But the second big thing is that mission impossible was made in an error where Tom Cruise meet just beginning to take off as an action star meaning that just another hour available and could do stuff and then he kind of blew up with the series and the role. The problem with both the mummy and that these actors are having ego trips when they're superstars and are turning well established franchises due to their ego into things that they're not. The focus of the mummy movie should have not been to make an amazing Tom Cruise movie. It should have been to make an amazing mummy movie that then could have sequels and potentially link up to a larger world. I agree that both Shazam and Black Adam would've both benefited if there was some sort of continuity. But I understand why there wasn't. Even though I like the first Shazam movie Zachary Levi portrayed Shazam as a goofball.
Cause Shazam is a goofball. That’s the point of his character. He’s a child who turns into an adult superhero . That’s what makes the dynamic between him and Black Adam work. Adam is a dark brooding edge lord vs Shazam goofy silliest. It drives Adam nuts why the wizard see Billy as the better hero
This just hammers home what I've always said about studio execs: these suits ALWAYS ruin the creative. The Rock isn't in charge. It doesn't fall on him. It falls on them

The potential to be something awesome with a showdown between Adam and Shazam would have been so great, but instead he wanted to team up with Cavil which makes no sense to comic fans. Also, my theory is that he wanted a Hollywood star name that was famous, but not famous enough to overshadow his name in the title. His ego has really done some damage to the films he's been involved in, including this one and it's starting to show in his box office numbers. I'm pretty sure it's also the reason why he went back to the Fast franchise--so it can help save his star power career.

And so did the *Justice League Action* 4 episodes long _"Shazam Slam"_ saga...

If you're talking about wrestlers turned actors, Cena and Batista are so much better than he is
Only good wrestler turned actor is Bautista and Cena is getting much better
His best role imo was in grid iron gang , fast five and walking tall , maybe the rundown
I’ll take Bautista playing drax any day .
Moral of the Story: The Rock's is ego is in desperate need of being seriously humbled by the People's Elbow of Hulmbing

Failed because the rock wanted to be a hero and main character while playing a villain who's a side character in Shazam
He's a noob
@apexsmokepacker but Billy wasn’t at first, that was the point Freddy made in the movie. Billy had all that power and instead of making a difference in the world he decided to use it to steal from ATM’s, get into strip clubs and charge people money for selfies and performances. He wasn’t terrible but he was abusing his power and I could totally envision a scene of The Wizard returning and calling Billy out on it, locking him in the same place he trapped Black Adam
@apexsmokepacker I’m not comparing it, I’m just saying he abused the power

A solo joker worked, as the Joker is the only comicbook villain to be as widely known and popular as his superhero counterpart. Black Adam, however, is mostly unknown to most. His hero counterpart isn’t even that popular either, which really hinders the idea of a solo BA.
Joker also has enough personality, motivation, and character to be in his own movie, Black Adam does not.

That's why became top wrestler and top hollywood star so overall it worked out for him
He rock bottomed entire Hollywood 😂
It's like, the stranglehold he had over Black Adam put unneeded pressure on the final product
Even for non-Shazam fans. Having Black Adam in the first Shazam movie was kinda obvious.
"If ur a children then piss off" sounded so funny to me idk why 😂
I wanted one thing from this movie. A good JSA. Imagine if when Hawkman and Dr. Fate had been debating who should sacrifice themselves, Carter had said “at least this way I’ll be reunited with Shiera.” It would have been epic.
The only thin I really like about this movie was the costume design. It feels like these characters jumped right out of the comic panel into real life. It’s at least better than what we got in Wakanda Forever, even though that movie is significantly better everywhere else.
Really, really good way to put it there. I am a Rock fan, but you pretty much read the man to a tee. Great video.
How ironic is it that Rock portrayed Black Adam, but The Rock himself turned out to be the DCEU's worst villain by letting his EGO get in the way!
The Guy with the biggest "I am Main Protagonist"-vibe out there
He shoulda just played Black Adam as a bad guy in Shazaam, I can say with certainty, that would have got him more attention.
Hell you can do like new 52 black Adam is a dark hero in olden times his brutal actions toward bad guys was heroic today not so much
They could have played that angle with black Adam becoming increasingly frustrated people don’t see him a hero anymore
Celebrities shouldn't touch characters if they don't actually care about the source material.

Central to the character of Shazam is that his civilian identity is a child. It's the superhero version of "Big". Delaying the second Shazam movie until Billy's actor was 20 ripped the heart out of that movie.

**never gets called for a superhero movie again**
It's simple really, he doean't want to star in a movie with shazam because he would have to lose since he's the enemy of shazam, but he can't lose because it's in his contract
It was clear from the start that this is meant to be The Rock's passion project, I think he never meant for it to be included on the established DCEU that time.
@apexsmokepacker Let's be fair here. The Rock needed bare bone characterization to even play the character.
I still weirdly enjoyed this movie, though I do agree that it's ridiculous a Shazam villain was going to take the center stage of the DCEU...
If i was Zack Levi i would be pissed bruhh imagine how many potential work opportunities he’s missing in DC because of the rock’s arrogance
All they needed to do was have Henry Cavill, superman, and Shazam both fly down or enter the picture with Superman saying we need to talk. It’s still would work.
A true actor would relish the role as a sinister villain. The Rock can’t fathom that for some reason. He worked himself into a shoot.
The Rock has got to be one of the most overrated actors of all time. He just plays the same character in every movie he is in, all his movies just have the same theme in that it's all about family, and he has the ego the size of a yacht his contract says he can't lose a single fight in an action scene. I don't understand why so many people love him.
do you think the stranglehold he had on black adam put unneeded pressure on the final product?
The irony is that Hawkman is all “We Don’t kill”
Yeah ok so the JS doesn’t kill in the DVEU but most members of the JL certainly have.
WW killed Ares AND Steppenwulf
Supes killed Zod
Batman killed countless criminals
Aqua man definitely killed some sea people and countless endangered species in his solo movie
And Cyborg probably would kill if he had to.
0:09 I had just click on another video and while it was loading up, I heard this.. I hit back just to sub.. haha
Actually, the fact there is a Black Adam movie could be good if he was the main villain of Shazam 1 and a cameo team-member in Shazam 2. But you are right, separating Black Adam from Shazam killed both franchises.
I'm just upset how dirty they did Dr. Fate.
Gilgamesh/Enkidu, Achilles/Hector, Leonidas/ Xerxes, Wolverine/Sabretooth, Captain Marvel/Black Adam together they all make intriguing stories subtract either one in any of these pairs and you’ve half a story left.
Superman/Lex Luthor, Batman/Joker, Hannibal Lector/Clarice Starling. The list goes on and on.

Kratos/Zeus
Agent 3/King Octavio

None of these heroes (The Left) would have the memorability or the relatablity if they didn't have an equal villainous counterpart. (The right)
Ive been missing the vee infuso episodes this is the first one that has popped up in several months
The Cameos at the end are a masterpiece, good job on a good video about a bad selfish man who was once cool 🥰
Black Adam reminds me so much of 2017s the mummy it’s actually scary.
Both were potentially good or even great films that were stolen and turned into an ego trip by a self obsessed celebrity.
Turns out, that doesn’t make for good cinema Whoda thunk it?
Well, Tom Cruise pulled it off with the Mission: Impossible franchise, so "sometimes" ego trips work out.
@@jonathancampbell5231si pero es una excepción a la regla
Plus each had a Egyptian focus of some kind
@@jonathancampbell5231The thing about mission impossible is one he already started in those films. He's truly took off ground so there's that. Same way as someone said this film focused way too much on making black Adam awesome at every second available instead of making a good comic book anti-hero movie that could then plug into properly with other aspects of any sort of DC universe.
@@jordanwhite352 Mission: Impossible was a famous TV series before Tom Cruise bought the rights to it.
The original cast hated the first movie so much that they walked out of the screening.
If they are going to reboot the Black Adam character in the DCU, they should cast Vin Diesel in the role.
Like one of Diesel's most well known role is Riddick, so we know Diesel can do Anti-Heroes.
Can't see Black Adam with a Brooklyn accent.. I'm sorry..
@@Crooklynmike
Odin Fehr would be a spot of black Adam and he's played a buffed character in his younger days he'd work well even looks like him
I never liked the Rock as an actor....Bautista does it way better...he takes way more interesting roles and does better projects
Both Bautista and Cena, they are willing to step out of comfort zone, taking different roles, well, Rock, he’s just being Rock.
Exactly, the Rock doesn’t seem interested in playing actual “characters”.
That intro is cold lotion 😂
Well done sir (background music and all) 😆🤝🏾
This might fare better. Same video. More dialogue. Lower background track. ruclips.net/video/G922RMlUVdc/видео.htmlsi=7kceuNbl1O8TAgb9
I think The Rock thinks he knows comics when he doesn't he's a fake fan
I think Jason Staham should play the character so we can get a battle against Shazam and Superman.
Both Statham and Rock have it in their contracts that they aren't allowed to lose fights.
@@jonathancampbell5231 then who else fits the profile of Black Adam?
@@biguy617 Probably a relative unknown who has a stable body of work but could use a big break.
Why would you cast a bald white in the role of Black Adam? 😂
@@jonathancampbell5231 that could work I guess,
I found and still find Black Adam very entertaining.
Am with you black adam movie rules. Haters going to hate.
I actually took my girlfriend to go see this movie with me in Imax, and we both really liked the movie, sure we were like the only ones there watching the movie lol so it's a real shame it didn't do so good
A battle between Shazam and Black Adam is essential to the story...a fight between Black Adam and Superman with Henry Cavill would have been like Christmas morning.
WB should've picked Uli, who played the kid's Black Adam transformation and made him a ruthless villain with sympathetic backstory in the 2nd Shazam movie.
I honestly enjoyed Black Adam, and I think that Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson did a good job as the titular character.
Most people that I know enjoyed the movie. It was a solid first entry for The Rock first foray into Superhero films.
It was okay but he wasn't Black Adam and his ego didn't allow the movie to be more than mediocre
@@BaithNadoesn't Black Adam have hair? If so then they could of made cgi hair to look like Black Adam

I'm thinking Rock is politicing to Hogan levels in hollywood. Which sucks honestly, somebodys gotta straight up tell him "yeah you cant do that here man"
The rock tried to save the DCEU u and I actually quite liked this movie It's better than the flash
The flash was better.
Dwayne had a piss poor attitude and thought that he was DC. Black Adam was a decent film but Dwayne didn't want to play ball and be a team player. I also fault WB for folding over to his demands. The whole incident caused me to lose a lot of respect for Dwayne.
The Flash was much better
@@champsammy13 In Dwayne’s defense the the studio was going to do whatever he said just for money so they were the ones who approved it. He may had caused the incident but the studio approved it.
@@CoolIguess5 One or two of those studio executives were either his own relatives or related to his ex-wife, who is Henry Cavill's agent- that's why "the studio" approved it.
Those cameos at the end are awesome😂
The Rock actually has superpowers..everything he touches turns to 💩.
Dude, That music loop is so overbearing. Why would you ruined your own video like that?
Here. This might fare better. Same video. More dialogue. Lower background track. ruclips.net/video/G922RMlUVdc/видео.htmlsi=7kceuNbl1O8TAgb9
This just hammers home what I've always said about studio execs: these suits ALWAYS ruin the creative. The Rock isn't in charge. It doesn't fall on him. It falls on them
Holy fuck, that's a deep cut putting Pixies Productions Joker b-roll in your editing. Loved those guys!
Kevin Conroy was the voice actor for Batman but at the end of this video he looks like The Joker without his make up on. @12:09.
I actually like this movie but I saw it as being just a superhero movie and I'm not one of the kind of people who love to nickpick at everything when I see a movie.
AKA your basic. 🙃
You are the audience modern cinema is looking for
Careful dude. The sophisticated intellectuals might come at you.
The Rock became the booker of the show. Making himself the center of all of it lol
Some actors can pull off superhero attire, Rock is not one of them. He looks absolutely ridiculous that you can't take it seriously
I like the part where he says “the stranglehold..” part twice 10:00 😂😭
Great video though!!!
