I definitely agree that Stephanie Garber’s books are a form of escapism. I also read them during a hard time in my life, and for those hours/days I read them, nothing else mattered. That said I’m a psychopath and started ballad of never after at like 8pm the first time I read it and was NOT about to not read a curse for true love in the same night so like. I did not sleep and that’s also why nothing else mattered oops
MADI I ALSO HARDLY USE A BOOKMARK AND JUST PRAY I OPEN TO THE CORRECT PAGE HAHAHA and then my husband dog ears books so. (he doesn’t touch my books so it’s fine)
I think for Stephanie Garber specifically, her last books in the series always feel a little jumbled. Finale and ACFTL both had the same issue of it being clear she had a million other things she wanted to write about. ACFTL felt it much worse so, but it was clear in Finale she was excited for the new characters as well. So she keeps adding new plot points bc she wants to expand on them in the next series, while the readers just want to finish off strong with the current characters
i literally just flip around in the book until i remember what page i was on lol. that's why you always see my scan through my books or hear me draw out the "i'm on page...." agree with you on the last books in stephanie garber's series! ACFTL definitely had some unanswered questions, so not sure if those will ever be addressed with a future book, or if they will be left unaddressed!
I find your love for Caraval and the way you describe it very endearing 🧁 I read OUABH first and never intended reading Caraval but your videos made me want to read it, and I’m now reading Finale and really enjoying Jacks’s storyline. Im also with you on preferring Scarlett, she’s my favorite
This was so much fun to watch!
Jack is totally a menace lolll. Love this video
truly a menace. also thank you!!

I hope we get them addressed! or I would just love a holiday novella for evajacks so we can have some more fun with them sans Apollo
