I always find it funny that every time Ed Byrne comes on they call him one of the nation's finest comedians considering he's one of Ireland's best comedians

To be fair, with regard to Balloon Boy, I was mightily impressed with the young lad. His parents are despicable people who shouldn't have been allowed to ever breed but that kid is a jewel. No matter what his parents told him to say, he knew it was wrong and just kept on telling the truth whenever he was asked. That kid at least has a fair shot at growing up to be a decent man one day. His parents? Well, jail's too good for them.
Ed Byrne is as clever and on-point as ever. i find it a bit sad when otherwise brilliant comedic minds come on this program and then have very little wit or substance to add
I think being good on a panel show and being a good comedian in other contexts can be pretty different skillsets, the panel being entirely improv. I think a lot of comedians appear on a panel show precisely once... Also: a lot of good jokes likely end up on the cutting room floor due to time constraints.
@@ianrutherford878 A skell set is a group of more than one related skill; for example, keeping tempo and remembering scales. In this case, being able to come up with jokes quickly based on a transmitted context (ie. fill in the blank games etc) is a different skill to developing good 'topical' jokes about current events, but both are needed for guests on a news panel.
@@lauramarx8098 good answer. I think though, that most things that used to be called simply skills are now being called skill sets just because it sounds cooler. In the same way that people misuse 'simplistic' where 'simple' is correct. So a boat-builder may have carpentry, metal work, mechanicing ,electrical installation in his/her/their skill set.But I can imagine a joiner being talked of has having a skill-set rather than just being a skilled joiner, say, because there are all kinds of different types of skillful operation involved.
I had always wondered how the balloon boy thing went as far as it did considering that at a glance you can tell no one can be in that, so why did we scramble jets? Did they think these people were trying to get rid of a child they murdered and decided to chase the evidence so they could prosecute? Like wtf?

I’ve always liked Grayson perry. And I honestly wish I was brave like that. Not a fan of the dresses and pigtails personally… but I’d be a lot happier if I gave as many fucks as he does. zero fucks given!! I think he’s a freaking rockstar and I wish we were all a bit more like him. Just maybe not with the pigtails. 😂🤘
today on ReWatch : heene balloon boy. a/o 2019 is in a teen aged metal band called ''Heene Boyz''...jeez, Richard Heene makes Joe Jackson look like Grandpa Joe from Willy Wonka
Golf and Tennis are not sports they are games ,....... Athletics are sports , running , jumping, vaulting throwing etc . Horse racing is a sport, as is is Hunting , fishing is a pastime
Art, yes. What's good. Okay, so what's good about a banana taped to a wall with duct tape? Is that fucking art? How about an invisible statue? Give me a fucking break. Feces smeared on a canvas. Now there's art. *sigh*
Yes I'm sure 3 comedians and an artist could have brought down the banking system. Ian prints this stuff in his paper every fortnight but nobody pays any attention

Ed Byrne is so worth watching. With this panel its pure gold
David's little look up when he says "Sandro Bottismelli" is like the face your uncle pulls when he's told an absolutely filthy joke.
Thanks for the uploads! Very much appreciated.
I love the Nick Griffin bit--such good commentary. As I recall, he was on Question Time the evening this was aired.
Thanks for uploading
Watching this in 2018 and it's not fucking surprising where we are today.
thank you so very much for the upload, cheers pet :)
Thanks for posting.
Grayson Perry’s awesome! Love him. Love his work.
Grayson; "They [bankers] do buy a lot of art", so, that's why modern artists study, how to be patronised.

@@lauramarx8098 what is the difference between a skill and a skill set? I miss the old simple 'skill'.

Is it possible that Grayson Perry is the most intelligent and creative artist since David Bowie?
No.
Is it me, or does Grayson Perry look like a Monty Python character?
How can we answer that without a photo of you?
could be because he looks like graham chapman
Sid Arthur you mean dead
Ian: "It's an abstract".
Lol.
Grayson: (Seriously triggered).
Ouch.
Ahh 2009, 3 possible pandemics ago, england was still in the UK and the US have yet to elect a reality tv show host as president.... Simpler times..

And then it went to sh't.
So season 56 was in 2018, so was this in 2006ish?
It says in the description when it was aired 23 October 2009
Besides, in 2006 Obama was not even a candidate for president.

Great, lets just have a laugh about the city of London bankers and their corruption.
Then when the show is over go back to doing nothing about it.
I've got a better idea, let's snark uselessly on the internet! That'll let everyone know I hate corruption!
