The iPhone XR might not be sold by Apple anymore but it's a good example of a phone that's still thriving on the used market- and it may just even be worth it for the right person in 2022. Anyone using the XR? How's it working for you?
I bought my XR brand new from my carrier (Verizon) back in Jan 2021 (9 months before it was discontinued) and it honestly preforms about as well as a newer iPhone would. Games run fast, texting and calls are seamless, RUclips runs great and battery is awesome. As someone who is like “As long as it’s a phone that does everything without feeling as slow as a snail” I’m very happy and impressed by how good it holds up. Probably won’t be upgrading this untill either it breaks or apple stops supporting it with iOS whichever comes first
@@kerpunkpubgmobile8624 the charging port on my 11 gave out yesterday lmao so now I bought a wireless charger (an anker MagSafe alternative to be exact) and it works pretty good Altho it doesn’t stick that well like the iPhone 12/13s do, it somewhat sticks
The XR might become the great used iPhone option for 2022. It still has a decent model, camera that still holds up, decent performance with A12 chip and 3 GB of RAM, and it's pretty cheap since XR apparently is one of the most popular phone in the world. You can't go wrong with it, but if your budget allows it, the 11 will be a better purchase.
Problem with the XR here in the UK 🇬🇧 is that it's bizarrely priced the same as the iphone XS on the used market meaning the only reason to buy it is colour choice.

well performance wise even the 6s was great for everyday use (some basic games, texts, youtube) etc, the battery is what chjanged tha game a bit wspecially with the 13 pro
I’m currently using the iPhone XR and I love it. I was using a iPhone 5s and my carrier said I need to upgrade so I chose the iPhone XR this last Christmas. Very happy with my decision.
I’m using xr, and i love this phone very much. It’s still doing its job very quick, battery is still great, design is not outdated. It’s still a better choice than se2
I bought my XR new in early 2019 (yes, time flies) and it's never disappointed me. Performance is constantly great, not even feeling any slower now. Battery is still at 90% (!) after all this time and lasts all day (and often even more). I´m very impressed by how Apple supports their devices and how well these hold up. I will definetly keep my XR for a long time. Chris AR
//I’ve had mines since September 2019 still going strong 💪🏽… battery at 82 %, I’m playing sonic the hedgehog 2 with knuckles while simultaneously writing this reply all on my xr
I’ve had one for almost three years. It is still going strong. I’ve thought about upgrading, but I can’t really justify it when this thing does almost everything I want. Better cameras could be nice, gaming on the phone would be better on a nicer or bigger screen, but I’m not super serious about photography and only play games on when my switch has a dead battery. I will say I really like the boxy design of the iPhone 13 & 4/5 lines, so that has been really tempting to go back to
Absolutely not upgrading before 2024 unless there’s real magic in some new iPhone at some point earlier than 2024. Five years is a normal life, for a phone
As someone who generally prefers Android, I wouldn't mind having an XR as a secondary device because it has the majority of the things I would want to be able to mess around with on an iPhone.
Android main here, I bought a used iPhone 6S for $40, the guy was nice enough to toss in a 7 for an extra 20. Both devices are perfect. Everything like cases and screen protectors are dirt cheap. They both take great pictures too. If you're serious about trying IOS go for a 6S as it's still really enjoyable to use. Easy on the wallet too.
@@jimbojack1164 I had a 6S to use until I suddenly couldn't find it. The issue for me isn't the speed, but the battery would sometimes just randomly go crazy, despite being on like 88% battery health.
I too am using an Android phone as my main driver. But I bought a used iPhone 8 for $100, and the seller gave me 2 free cases and an extra screen protector. My iPhone works fine, as I use it as a back up device, and is my entry level Apple device to learn iOS.
@Neil different. While I like Android for flexibility and more functions like USB-OTG, using Bluetooth for audio and file transfers. Depending on what Android phone you have - can’t stand bloatware you cannot uninstall. For instance, why do I have Bixby when I use Google Assistant more? Apple, despite their limitations, make up for software upgrades that optimize their hardware to last longer. No bloatware either. Even though iOS has limitations compared to Android, there are work arounds
Had the XR almost 3 years and it’s the best iPhone I’ve ever owned. It has started acting weird and glitching every once in a while and the camera gets very pixelated when you zoom in. And no night mode photos. If you don’t really care about the camera this is a great phone. Waiting it out to see what the new iPhone will look like, and maybe upgrading if it’s worth it.
I've recently got mine in pristine condition with a new battery. I'm getting the back camera fixed, will be getting it back soon. Getting the camera fixed because I want to take some snaps when I'm on holiday.
I have a XR I bought it early March of 2019, I have it nearly 3 years at this point and its battery health is at 93% running the latest iOS version. It's plenty fast, no dropped calls, it gets the job done. I have no complaints about the display nor the bezels personally because I don't compare it daily to the XS for example. I have dropped it a couple of times and it survived them like a champ, given that it has a case and a screen protector from day 1. I consider it a very value for money purchase and I intend to keep it until iPhone 15 launches. I think upgrading to a brand new iPhone every 5 years is the best way to go as it's both good for your wallet and for the environment! Cheers!
Was on android for a decade until I was fed up with having to buy new phones every year my a51 charger port went inside the phone. Got the XR last June and haven’t looked back! I absolutely love it!
honestly i feel you, I got an A51 from the time I had no idea about phones and just looked at big spec numbers. The camera and overall software lag is insanely bad. I found an XR used (almost brand new) with 97% battery health in red, 128gb or storage and 3gb of ram. Already has been updated to IOS 15 and all of that at fucking 300 dollars are you joking me.
My Xr 64GB Black experience Camera: solid, not as good as the latest iphones but if you know how to edit photos, then Xr is very enough. Battery: great! but not as great as it was in iOS 14, iOS 15 made the Xr's battery life slightly worse. still, with light to moderate use, you can end the day with 30% but you can kill this in a day with some intensive long gaming sessions. Performance: speaking of gaming, Xr is still very capable, Genshin Impact is smooth but it'll make the iphone warm but that's it. all games perform in 60fps (or atleast in my eyes because I can see no frame drops). iOS 15: little to no limitations, you can also scan texts here with your camera, widgets works fine, I don't feel left out. Overall experience: my dad's phone is the 12, I compare my iphone to him always and I really see no difference (yes there's the thicker bezels but that's it). the screen, guys, seriously, it's fine. i edit photos and create graphic designs in my church and I see no need for an OLED or a higher resolution display. yes, the black is not really black but I know how a black should look like in an LCD and Apple's retina displays are way better than any LCDs on a phone. plus, the Xr's display supports P3 wide color gamut which is very great for the price. Conclusion: iphone 11 is better if you're looking for a phone, but so is the 12, so is the 13. personally, I have the Xr now and I see no reason to upgrade. night photography? even the 12's night photos are not as good as its daylight photos so I don't shoot night photos. ultra wide camera? I use panorama for that but very rare. Xr's normal wide camera is wide enough for 99.9% of the time. telephoto camera? i take zoom photos but Xr's 2x digital zoom still looks good. i don't think i've mentioned everything but you can always ask me down below for more infos. overall, I love this phone. still fast, camera and battery are still great. i can consider this a 'great minimalist phone'. if you're a minimalist, you'll love this phone, you'll always appreciate its very powerful single camera and very minimal design.
I’ve had my XR since February 2020 and compared to some of my friends phones (including my friend’s iPhone 12) the battery has actually held up very well. It lags from time to time (sometimes being really annoyingly bad) and occasionally the camera quality bothers me (and the lack of better zoom) but in usual day to day usage, I can almost always get a full day off the battery, do what I need and want to do with relative ease, and still have a relatively modern and good iPhone. If (or rather when) Apple releases an iPhone SE with no home button and a larger display more similar to the XR (which they are expected to do in 2023, but not confirmed) I may end up upgrading to that, but for the time being, the XR is great for me!
Upgraded from 6s recently after 2 years of use, gave that phone to my dad whose been lovin it. Xr feels amazing to this day and doesnt feel like a 3-4 year old phone at all! Didn’t upgrade to 11, since i don’t care for camera too much and the specs and hardware are almost identical.
My mum has used her iPhone XR for about 2 and half years now. Upgrading from the 5s. Battery health is at 91% but it still lasts her the day with a smooth experience.
I upgraded from the Xr to the 13 pro and the upgrades are minute. It is just as fast for what I used it for and the 120hz screen I can barley tell the difference. This phone shows that the Apple magic works. Shows you can buy a phone and use it for years. Used my Xr for 3 years and no problems besides from the bad corner burn in problem that plaques the Xr lineup.
I bought an XR in November 2021 from Apple Refurbished for £360. I came from a 6S so clearly the XR was going to feel like cut edge tech. Your video on it from last year highly encouraged me to get it and I don't regret it one bit.
Love my XR. As you said, it just works. 4 years old and still pretty quick with a decent camera. I'm sure I'd notice improvements if I upgraded, but I have no reason to. Anything I need a smartphone to do, my XR does, and it does it well. My only issue is my battery health is starting to get a little worse so I'll probably upgrade the battery soon and then just keep using the XR until it feels slow or can't update.
I was an Android user until I switched to XR back in April 2020 and I still love it. This was a great introduction for me to become an iPhone user. I got it with a deal at Sam’s Club that got me to pay only $400 at the time. Also love the colors for this iPhone, i got mine in light blue and thinks it still holds well. I still use my everyday and going to keep it until it breaks down.
I bought my XR almost 2 years ago, used and renewed by Amazon. The battery health was at 94% upon purchase and it is still at 94% to this day. I do not game or shoot video, so there is no heavy drain. I have watched many videos on "power drains" and have changed all my settings to stop the drains. I now can get 2 1/2 days on one charge, on a four year old iphone. Things would be different if I gamed or shot videos, but I don't. I have two custom built PC's for gaming and two pro DSLR's for videos. My wife has a iphone 13 and my battery out lasts her 13, due to her phone calls being very long. It is all about how you use your phone??
I own a iPh13 Pro ans I just gifted my GF the iPhone XR (used), and I tested it for a few days. I’ll say that it is definitely faster than I expected and I can barely notice any meaningful difference to my 13 Pro. I did enjoy using it!
I definitely got my iPhone XR back in November of 2020 which was a decent upgrade for me, it became my dream iPhone ever since it came out and I gotta tell ya, having Face ID was something new that I really enjoy and experience with a big iPhone for my hands was definitely perfect. The A12 Bionic chip was powerful which made me smile a lot, and since it’s a great iPhone I’ll definitely be ready to upgrade it to a new iPhone this fall of 2022.
My XR just rebooting 5 to 6X a day after i changed my battery. I decided to buy 2nd hand to a Young lady from HOngkong HKD1100 94% battery all original. And IOS 15, i will not update it till it dies. I love XR i find its perfect for me. LCD yeah, compare to OLED. But hey. When you use actually your phone as normal function the result still the same. OLED eats lot of your batter tho
Watching this vid with my XR and it’s my first time using iPhone after years of using androids, i wanted to try something new by trying the iOS but I didn’t really know what to pick at that time and my friend suggested me that XR is a good device for a starter especially if you’re used with the long last battery life from androids. And i would say this phone is more than enough for me, i was surprised when I found out that this phone is 4 years old bcs nothing about this phone is too “old” for me considering how fast technology changes every year and yet XR isn’t really too far behind even with the newer phones. I have this phone for 6 months now and i will likely keep this until next year or probably the next following years too.
I had the XR a few times and it's a great iPhone. I'm actually considering getting one as a backup for my pixel 6a. The main value in the XR in 2022 is you'll still get updates a few more years. Which is crazy when you consider some newer cheaper android phones will barely be supported 1 year. If you can get a good deal on a XR I'd say it's easily one of the best budget iPhones you could get.
It is a great phone. I've had it for about 2 years, the battery is at 97%. It takes great photos and the sound is great. My biggest issue is that the touch sensor is not great. Sometimes I have to touch the screen twice. So I'm giving it to my niece, she loves it and it's the perfect size for her.
I just got this, new, as Xmas present, so I can finally replace my trusty, if kind of beaten up 6S. I'm pretty happy with it. Its snappy and the battery life is great. I'm hoping it'll go the distance as its predecessor did, and its looking like its going to. When jumping this many generations, you can truly see the progress on the phone.
I got a still new iPhone XR a couple of weeks ago and honestly I don’t see much difference in performance between this and my fathers 11 so it seems like I made a good choice
Well in 2023 (start of 2023) this helps im running a bit low on money and my mate upgraded to iphone 14 and he has an iPhone XR before and he said after moving his data to the new phone he will give me the iPhone XR and its perfectly fine and i said yes
Been using my XR since 2018. No complaints whatsoever. I may have to replace the battery soon as it’s sitting at 81%. I don’t expect to replace it for the next 2(?) years. (Depends on if I really like the potentially redesigned 14pro)
I got the XR at launch and loved it. The battery was absolute. It would last a double shift at work so from 1030pm to 1530 the next day. I would work 3rd and 1st and as long as I started my shift at 100% I would plug back in around 10%. And that was with heavy gaming and RUclips along with podcasts and music apps. I feel it lasted longer than my current iPhone 14 pro.
iPhone XR user here. I bought it refurbished off Amazon a little more than one year ago, and I have to say that it’s the best phone I had so far, it beats even my previous Galaxy S8. Battery is not the greatest (91% capacity) but I have to say that other than that I had basically no issue, maybe except a couple bugs. I would definitely suggest it
I've been using it for three and a half years, and I must say that it's still more than just usable. Interface is maybe not as snappy on the latest iOS, as it was back in the days, but there are no lags neither. I replaced a battery last month, and it lives a lot longer now, but still not as long, as it was on the initial battery, which is obvious. Bezels were never a problem for me, and without having a better display nearby - Liquid Retina is sufficient. A few things I'm really lacking from the newer devices though are that 11 has Wi-Fi 6 support, Gigabit-class LTE, and 4 gigs of RAM, of course.
I got my XR in September 2021. It’s been about 8 months already. Holy hell. I LOVE this phone, it’s so much smoother compared to my slow, water damaged 6s+. However, I have begun to notice some lag in this poor thing. Battery health is eh, but whatever. I plan to keep it for about 4 years, year 1 coming up soon. While it is a bit laggy, however, it’s still mostly fast, especially compared to an older phone. :)
iPhone XR in 2021 was released a week before I was gifted my XR…still over a year later it’s pretty solid, although I want to upgrade but I like it still Also something about the 11, it’s a XR with a new chip an extra camera and a bigger battery. That’s it…so why is the most liked or best valued iPhone? It’s not really
I am in fact watching on a XR😅 The phone is definitely great but over time it has felt slower, battery life shrinking etc. For the current market value of around 300 its a good phone at the price. I still plan on keeping this phone till next year and upgrade to the iphone 14
@@shaownsh7528 really depends on usage. Almost every day I can make it last, but I will typically end off at 10% or less. If I ever do need to recharge its gonna be in the night/late night. I have around 5 hours screen on time daily, with a variety of social media, youtube and internet browsing. Overall it was still significantly better than my iPhone 6S for sure, had to recharge in the afternoon to last the day.
Mines is working fine and I appreciate the updates that the higher end IPhones receive. I know the the XR will still receive updates until 2024 from what I read. Obviously no 5g but sometimes the higher end phones do not always have 5g depending area etc I have noticed. I have Android S22 Ultra I use for work purposes so I am very well rounded.
I got my iPhone XR on Christmas 2018, I still have it and it works like a charm, I’m likely gonna get the iPhone 14 when it comes out because the battery is becoming mediocre. I was originally planning on getting the 13 but decided to hold off.
Get the 12 instead because it’s more meaningful since the year they rolled out was 2020 COVID year and look at the commercial of iPhone 12 again of how powerful and groundbreaking it was. See the wallpaper on that phone, that’s the campaign look of iPhone 12. That’s the best video Apple ever made!
My mother got this device new in her phone plan after it was realesed and it still holds up pretty well especially in the camera department. Now she uses it as a secondary device after upgrading to an iPhone 12 last year of May.
93% Battery health on my original power source. And yes, I don't give a ratatouille about the screen resolution it was so minimal to my eye the cost savings was worth it. The price differential with the same tech specs as the XS sans plus the higher res screen. The native editing app helps make my photos pop if the light was a bit low. Another budget version in about two years please Apple. I'll be ready for a change by then.
I know 2 people personally that has this and they are satisfied with it because it’s decent enough today if you can get one in good shape for a reasonable price it’s definitely worth it
Got an XR after turning in my company 11 and have not seen a difference. I actually have to look @ the back and see the camera is different to realize its not the same phone!!
Still got my XR. I got it December 2019 and battery is at 87% and I still get amazing use between charges. And I've dropped it a few times and there's barely a mark on it. Amazing cheaper phone by Apple.
bought this last year and still on warranty until april. superlove this phone. modern display, fast chip, good camera, decent battery life. Spent only $200 + $150 on s5 apple watch. Loving the ecosystem
I think the XR was a great phone. It had great battery life. A great screen for being LCD. And it pointed out how much phone nerds are in the minority as most people weren't concerned with having a "lower" resolution display. That can also be said for the 11. The bezels are only noticeable if you're a nerd and/or looking for something to complain about lol
This definitely makes me feel at ease, I bought a new iPhone 13 pro max; well it got smashed by a trailer while I was working and in the last decade I have never broke a phone, until now so I had no insurance and had to run and by a cheaper unlocked phone and put my Verizon SIM card in it, so I landed on the XR because it only cost me 300 which is nice because I still have to pay off my 1300 that I owe on the 13.
Is not only worth but the best iPhone you can buy right now for your money, as it is discontinued and their price is low in local resellers. Their hardware is enough capable and future proof for at least four years more.
Oh is it? I'm looking to run an iPhone along with my Samsung galaxy A53. So have one android for an mp3 player and iPhone for imessage etc... will the XR be worth it?
I still have my coral iPhone XR it’s not broke and it’s not slow at all I’ve had it since it came out all I did was buy AirPod pros and I’m good I was thinking about upgrading to the 13 pro in Sierra Blue idk but I’m still keeping my current phone
At $275 or less, ABSOLUTELY. Not if you can get the XS for an extra $15-$40 though, IMO the XS is a better size, a lot better blacks (although the XR is fine) and, IMO, the XS (especially in gold) is a lot sexier than the XR.
My youngest son has the Xr and loves it! Only cost £160 on eBay second-hand. Still one of the few LCD iPhones suitable for those who can use OLED due to PWM problems.
I have the iPhone 11. The iPhone XR is just as good but if you can upgrade to the iPhone 11 take the opportunity and do it as you would get updates for longer
I had got this phone for my mom and she loved it. The only problem we had with the iPhone XR is that the speaker became very muffled in a year. So I did a warranty claim on it. They sent us a replacement and six months later same thing happened again so we ended up using it for a trade-in to get her an iPhone 12.
Went from a iPhone 12 Pro Max to a iPhone XR after cracking the screen on my pro max and finding out it was almost 700$ just to repair the front screen. I bought a refurbished iPhone XR for 389$ and invested the remaining 300$ I would’ve been out if I repaired the pro max into a investment that ended up quadrupling my return.
I had an iPhone XR in 2019 only because my iPhone X broke. Still, I really loved my XR, even though I couldn't get it in RED, the blue I got though was gorgeous too! The camera was Just awesome! The only reason I upgraded from that to what I have now, the iPhone 12, is because I needed more storage on my phone for all those photos and videos as well as keeping a bunch of podcasts I will eventually listen to when I have regular commutes again. Still, if you gotta get a used/refurbished phone, definitely get the XR!
When I went used iPhone shopping, the 11 pro was my initial purchase. I did have to sell it though, because the speakers sounded horrid. I ended up getting an 11 for €180 and holy cow! The screen is awesome! Sure, the bezels are a bit big and it’s an LCD but besides that, it’s genuinely amazing! The resolution doesn’t show at all (over 300ppi is barely visible, and only if you get like really really close to the screen). The color accuracy though!! Coming from a relatively pricy android, I was blown away! Looking at my home screen with the rainbow apple wallpaper in blue was wow!! This is a great screen if you forget the specs, if you thought the iPhone 8 screen was great, this is infinitely better.
My phone is destroyed and I have already spent 100$ in the past fixing it but now this absolutely destroyed and I decided I should switch to iPhone. Now I can buy the 14 pro but I need the money and I found a good deal for an Iphone Xr and I will buy it. Thanks for helping me decide cuz I was confused if I want to buy the iPhone x
I have been using a XR since 2019. Although I’m not sure if I would recommend someone to buy it right now (you can probably get newer iPhones for similar prices), I see no reason to upgrade it. I have thought a lot about upgrading for the 13, but I just cant justify it. It performs all the tasks that I need without any struggle or slowing down. The main camera is good enough and though I would like a ultra wide camera, it’s not a necessity for me. My biggest problem is the battery life, which is significantly shorter. I often struggle to make it to the end of the day, but my battery life is already at 84%~ so i cant really complain about it
I had the iPhone XR really great phone in my opinion if ur looking for a power house phone for a really cheap price and a bang for ur buck yea the XR is a great option to start with very snappy and gets the job done 👍🏾💯
Totally worth it! I used an iPhone 7 with iOS 14 until I bought this one, and even that was working fine, except for the battery, of course. The Camera was still great, the phone still worked smoothly. I bought the XR a couple months ago and it’s been working like magic. Love the upgraded camera and even as a used phone, the battery usually lasts all day for me. As for the display, I noticed a big difference from the 7. The pixel density is the same, but the colors are definitely more vibrant and the screen brighter. I couldn’t be more pleased that I didn’t have to get a flagship phone for a lot more money and still have the features I wanted, like portrait mode and a very decent low light experience with the camera. As for the rest, works just as smoothly as any other iPhone, new or old.
Problem with the XR here in the UK 🇬🇧 is that it's bizarrely priced the same as the iphone XS on the used market meaning the only reason to buy it is colour choice.

I bought my XR brand new from my carrier (Verizon) back in Jan 2021 (9 months before it was discontinued) and it honestly preforms about as well as a newer iPhone would. The XR might become the great used iPhone option for 2022. Performance is constantly great, not even feeling any slower now.
Battery is still at 90% (!) after all this time and lasts all day (and often even more).
I´m very impressed by how Apple supports their devices and how well these hold up.
I will definetly keep my XR for a long time.
Chris AR
i bought mine in december of 2019 (battery 88%) and it still works flawlessly, gonna sell it though and get the new 13 pro max :D
I got mine October 2020 and now it’s still at 89 percent battery
//I’ve had mines since September 2019 still going strong 💪🏽… battery at 82 %, I’m playing sonic the hedgehog 2 with knuckles while simultaneously writing this reply all on my xr
It's at 88 now
I’ve had one for almost three years. I will say I really like the boxy design of the iPhone 13 & 4/5 lines, so that has been really tempting to go back to
My 2019 XR’s battery is still at 98% health. Best phone I’ve ever owned, by a huge margin
Absolutely not upgrading before 2024 unless there’s real magic in some new iPhone at some point earlier than 2024. Five years is a normal life, for a phone
dude how is mine first opened in early 2020 and has 85 battery health and yours is at 98
any advice on how to keep abbove 80 for longer periods?
Impossible
@@oussamanezzar6411 got mine early 2020 as well and mine has 88% health,85% shouldnt be bad mine works just fine still.
Mine is around 93%-94% after 8 months…
@@jimbojack1164 just throws in a 7 for 20 bucks? you check they werent stolen?
Cheers!
Me too had mine since March 2019 got it at sprint
Was on android for a decade until I was fed up with having to buy new phones every year my a51 charger port went inside the phone. Got the XR last June and haven’t looked back! I absolutely love it!
honestly i feel you, I got an A51 from the time I had no idea about phones and just looked at big spec numbers. The camera and overall software lag is insanely bad. I found an XR used (almost brand new) with 97% battery health in red, 128gb or storage and 3gb of ram. Already has been updated to IOS 15 and all of that at fucking 300 dollars are you joking me.
My Xr 64GB Black experience
Camera: solid, not as good as the latest iphones but if you know how to edit photos, then Xr is very enough.
I've had one for the last 2 years in red and it's been awesome.
I got my XR about over a year ago and honestly there’s just about nothing to complain about on this phone
From where did you buy it
I bought an XR in November 2021 from Apple Refurbished for £360.
Almost like Egypt
To be honest, without the iPhone 5c we wouldn’t have the iPhone XR.
Had my iPhone XR a few weeks ago and I'm glad that I made a great choice. This phone is just so perfect for me! Really a beast!
Hou much ??
Just upgraded from the XR to the 13 pro max, loved my XR when I had it though
I’m looking to do the same thing
How? It’s like upgrading from an older lower middleclass phone to a new upper class phone
@@crestas9 Verizon was offering $700 for XR trade ins towards a 13 pro max a few months back
@@thefreakhouse wow thats a really good deal!
Some say the LCD screen consumes less power than the OLED screens do.
The XR is a amazing phone but I’m upgrading because battery life on the 13 models have stepped up on a completely another level
I had mine since december 2018 and it still holds up decently, the 720p display never bothered me and was also my main camera for my RUclips channel.
I’m using the XR, it’s my first iPhone, really impressed by its performance, camera and battery. XR is still a beast!!
I have a white iPhone XR & have no plans of upgrading. Works for me and what I use it for.
I just got the xr again and its a beast still
iPhone XR user here.
if i may ask, was it a brand new xr you bought or was it second hand?
iPhone XR in 2021 was released a week before I was gifted my XR…still over a year later it’s pretty solid, although I want to upgrade but I like it still
Also something about the 11, it’s a XR with a new chip an extra camera and a bigger battery. That’s it…so why is the most liked or best valued iPhone? It’s not really
That is why, its just better and started off at a cheaper price
I am in fact watching on a XR😅
The phone is definitely great but over time it has felt slower, battery life shrinking etc. For the current market value of around 300 its a good phone at the price. I still plan on keeping this phone till next year and upgrade to the iphone 14
How's the battery life?
You can always replace the battery
Get the 12 instead because it’s more meaningful since the year they rolled out was 2020 COVID year and look at the commercial of iPhone 12 again of how powerful and groundbreaking it was. See the wallpaper on that phone, that’s the campaign look of iPhone 12. That’s the best video Apple ever made!
My mother got this device new in her phone plan after it was realesed and it still holds up pretty well especially in the camera department. Now she uses it as a secondary device after upgrading to an iPhone 12 last year of May.
I have an XR for about 2 years, I don’t need a reason to upgrade yet. Battery is fine, camera is decent, runs great on IOS 14
I am writing this comment with the iPhone XR
And it works perfectly so I don’t need to upgrade
Using 10r it's awesome face I'd, ISO 15.4, have no complaints, it's worth the money paid, its works great
Damn never been this early, my brother got a XR a few weeks ago for £260 in black with 64GB of storage and it works flawlessly, a brilliant phone!
Got mine when I went to Cricket Wireless. And it cost $50 too. I really like this phone also. Solid in every way.
I ordered an iPhone XR from Ebay recently 🥰 (My very first one 🔥🔥🔥)
My brother is on a xr and he seems to like it, I had an 8plus and , then an 11pro ,now I have a 13pro 256 and love it
bought this last year and still on warranty until april. superlove this phone. modern display, fast chip, good camera, decent battery life. Spent only $200 + $150 on s5 apple watch. Loving the ecosystem
I bought one yesterday at only 200 dollars in second handed market and it is in perfect condition (87% battery health)
Hey! How's its battery health now, 2 months later? Does it last for a day?
Nice I would recommend this phone to anyone trying to spend 200$ on a iPhone I got one a week ago for 180 and it has 88% previously I had a Samsung.
Yes, the iPhone Ex R is definitely still worth it in 2022
This definitely makes me feel at ease, I bought a new iPhone 13 pro max; well it got smashed by a trailer while I was working and in the last decade I have never broke a phone, until now so I had no insurance and had to run and by a cheaper unlocked phone and put my Verizon SIM card in it, so I landed on the XR because it only cost me 300 which is nice because I still have to pay off my 1300 that I owe on the 13.
Got my XR (open-box) on eBay in 2019. Still works like a champ and does all I need it to do. Will replace the battery soon though.
Had my XR since 2019 the reason I upgrade is I ran outta space, if I buy it at 256gb I would still use it, but now love my alpine green 13 pro max xD
I got an iphone xr yesterday and it works amazingly. The speed, camera, etc are all solid. I would say the iphone XR is worth it in 2022.
How’s your battery life ? Does the phone last for the whole day ???
Watching this video on a XR. Bought it the month it released. Never been happier with a phone!
2:32 Me watching this on an Iphone 7 with 72% battery capacity: “Interesting“
Is not only worth but the best iPhone you can buy right now for your money, as it is discontinued and their price is low in local resellers. Their hardware is enough capable and future proof for at least four years more.
Oh is it? I'm looking to run an iPhone along with my Samsung galaxy A53. So have one android for an mp3 player and iPhone for imessage etc... will the XR be worth it?
Upgraded from xr to 13 pro and noticed no difference in performance and barely anything in display.
Just recently bought my new XR brand new… This cute phone really rocks and I really love it…
I loved my XR. I was bummed I had to upgrade to the 13 pro. I love my Pro, it’s great, but I’d have stayed with my XR if it was fixable.
I’ve been using the iPhone XR for almost a year now …and I’ve got no complaints so far
❤
Team XR here still going strong for the next few years 💪🏽😉
I’m on the iPhone 8 but i want to upgrade to either XR or XS
I love my XR I got in November 2021 . It’s the best phone I’ve ever had and I have no plans to get rid of it anytime soon
I have a iPhone 10s my battery health is 83 percent but it’s still good 👍
When I went used iPhone shopping, the 11 pro was my initial purchase.
I think its worth it. Im using it right now per November 2021. Battery health still 100%. Overall good experience, its still a great phone!
I got mine in April 2021 battery health is at 95 percent
Love your channel! Been watching since 2018 and subscribed since 2020. Keep up the great work!
I can’t be the only one who thinks the XR would be a good SE future design, they can use the iPhone 8 body so why not the XR.
I bought my iPhone XR used 2 months ago on ebay for £180. Was an amazing deal, and was more amazed the more I used it.
I have no issues except that the 64gb storage is kinda low for me since i download a ton of music
Problem with the XR here in the UK 🇬🇧 is that it's bizarrely priced the same as the iphone XS on the used market meaning the only reason to buy it is colour choice.
