    ***WHAT HAPPENS IN EPISODE 2***
    didn’t watch, but googled - the moms had to write down secrets and the sons had to guess who was whose. someone decided to turn it up to 11 and share utterly life changing shit, i.e., that she’d slept with her best friend’s son. it turned out to be soyoung (aggressive feel up lady), jimmy (feet guy)’s mother. apparently once it’s revealed you see her like sobbing in a confessional while he gets wasted and naked in the pool. so. HOW. WHY. good questions indeed, willie. fuck, man

      @@lurksmcgee I think the main problem with age gaps is that older people who seek out much younger partners usually do so because younger people are easier to manipulate. Especially people below the age of 25 who don't even have a fully developed brain yet. I won't assume that a healthy relationship under those circumstances is impossible, or that every relationship between someone below their early twenties and someone fully adult is abusive but I would hazard to guess that most of them are. • @whatalsaid
    @whatalsaid Год назад +410

    If this was about older women meeting younger men who they AREN'T related to, it would be such a fun, campy trash dating show similar to Love Island. But the fact that they HAD to select these women's sons is pretty icky and it's like they're actively trying to make these women look like freaks, which is kinda sad. Like, there's nothing inherently wrong with someone older wanting someone younger as long as they're both consenting adults. There's probably MILLIONS of older men who have younger wives/girlfriends in the world. Leonardo DiCaprio famously refuses to date anyone over the age of 25 and Hugh Hefner was dating 3 of them at the same time when he was already old as hell. So the fact that the producers ACTIVELY selected these ladies sons to be the dating pool seems to me a little like they were making fun of these ladies for liking younger men, or even HAVING a dating life after 40.

    honestly these moms with their age gaps, seem like their had their kids when they were in their 20s, and probably missed out on the 20s dating experience and now that their kids are adults and not as reliant theyre "allowed" to freely have those missed experiences and its just an unfortunate thing that their kids being in their 20s and they having missed out on the 20s experience made it so their dating pools collided. as someone with a 39 y/o teen mom and is in my early stages of adulthood, im pretty sure if my mom hadnt found her fiancé when i was preteen, shed still be dating and our pools would have possibly collided, and i would hate to judge her for wanting something that she wasnt able to get when she was my age. but regardless, it would be really weird to see my mom at the same bars as me for hooks ups and shit, or like in dating apps.

And the show's producers have really revamped their vetting process to avoid the fuckups of season one. Naked and Afraid even has a global community of survivalists for it to play off of. That's orders of magnitude different from the mother-son incest angle that MILF Manor is going with.

    As a MILF I gotta say thanks for that last part and that you're right on the money Willie. Older women embracing our sexuality is seen as so taboo that it's probably far more frowned upon than the pseudo-incest happening on screen and it's so sad to think that. Luckily I'm a lesbian though and it's a lot more accepted in those circles, but still gotta feel for my het/bi sisters and having to put up with this.

    Something about milf Manor and reality TV in general has me feeling weird. This might just be my psych student brain talking but there's something really strange about the existence of reality TV and what it says about society in general. People get so invested into the lives of people they see on TV when in reality it's really none of our business what they do with their lives. It itches the same part of your brain that gossip and rumours itch. I knew someone who wanted to write their paper on the type of people who enjoy reality TV and the correlation between enjoying reality TV and being the sort of people who enjoy drama and gossip.
