My husband & I got engaged at Montauk Point on October 2nd, 1987. We stayed in town every year. We Loved Montauk's small town & restaurants. The video guy is going too fast through the town. Difficult to see everything 😢😮.

You say you don’t want to live out here. This part of LI . Is young professional people with money or it’s old self made or inherited money. A lot of the homes are passed down through the families. Also celebrities. Especially the Hamptons. It is a lifestyle.
No matter if it is a lifestyle or not. If they do not want to live there it is their choice. I think they could afford it but not everybody wants to live in a small town.
@@Serviervorschlag- Anyone can live anywhere they want. You don’t know Long Island. Transit to the city is very limited. You choose to live here or family lives here. Some properties are handed down for generations. People here don’t care where you live. Live in a box for outrageous money in the city.
Did the LIRR run all the way out there to be able to walk to the beach?
LIRR ends at Montauk and it’s about a half mile walk to the ocean from there.
