FYI - you probably know that they were in this competition before admission to the Vaganova academy. Vaganova academy doesn't send students to YAGP, and Tsiskaridze is very negative to kids dancing adult variations. He said it to both Vera and Natasha when they came to a Russian talent competition where he is one of the judges. @Dance40hoursaday - they'll teach you: vaganovaacademy.ru/training/vaganova-international-trainee-program.html
The older foreign students - maybe. For little girls, Vaganova academy couldn't care less if they can dance adult variations. Their first year audition is all about natural "gifts" like body, extension, turnout, jump, feet and all they ask them to dance is polka on flats. Watch the Dance of the Little Swans documentary about the audition process. In fact, the VBA rector, Tsiskaridze told two of the girls in the video, when they came to a Russian talent contest, to stop dancing adult variations, audition of the academy where they'd start from the beginning. Three years later, they expelled one of them.
ALL of them are extremely well trained young Dancers❤️No question!!!! I did like Vera truly a lot, she did give the impression of effortless-ess soooo well, already with her 9 years 👍🏻⭐
It looks like Vera was expelled from the VBA this year. Look at her instagram, it no longer mentions the academy. She also cut her hair which isn't something dancers do. I had read earlier that she failed her classical dance exam this year.
I think that 9 years old is too young for this type of competition, it is "using" them, it surely does please the moms. The other young girl, Natasha, is more a contortionist than a dancer, and Vera is charming but she struggle at the beginning of her routine, those dance parts are difficult and for grown up ballerinas.
@@tarantellalarouge7632 Look up more recent Natasha's videos from the VBA. She is very promising now, but of course, it is too early. This YAGP video is a bit misleading for people who don't understand "alumni" and think they were at the VBA at the time they competed which is not true, they were first at YAGP. VBA does not send students to YAGP and doesn't accept them until after elementary school by which time they are 10-11. Vera Shpakovskaya was expelled from the VBA because of how her body developed, her instagram then showed Belarus academy of choreography, but now she removed her instagram. I am not sure if she is still there.
@@jewelmarkess Natasha is about to enter 5/9 class and passed her 4/8 exam with a 4+, she could be safe for a while. As for Vera, I snoop around VBA kids' instagrams and I saw she isn't there. I think Vera has stopped dancing altogether.
@@remeijerezsoler3217The 5th year is the most dangerous. The 6th-9th years are what they call "courses" i.e. it's after secondary school education. Also, the 6th year is when they normally accept foreigners, so oftentimes they cut a lot of kids after the 5th year to make room (based on what I read). They rarely expel people from courses. Based on some of the more recent videos here and what you said about her grade, Natasha is doing great, so she is probably safe. 4+ is excellent. As to Vera, when she still had her instagram, it said she was attending Belarus ballet academy in Minsk, but I don't know what has happened since. She is older, so she must've either graduated or stopped dancing.

She was actually expelled from the VBA after the first year in part because she went to YAGP (also because she refused to give up the Kuramshin school she had attended earlier.) She was readmitted later on and ended up a year ahead of others. I'd imagine you know all of that, but just in case.

Все хороши😍 Девочки в образе и это передается зрителю, что очень важно в балете, кроме техники, конечно. Не совсем понятен танец малышки в красном, по-моему там не хватает гимнастической ленты😎
