I love making them too, so it works out. Yeah, that was a lot of red steel in that field. Harvetst starts Wednesday for the farm im at now. We got one green one and a no leveler silver one (gleaner). Got a brand spanking new 580 though. 2023 with 400 hours. Things got the interior of a mercedes
@@TrevorStruthers If you ever get tired of grain farming come to Wisconsin. Any dairy farm would be glad to have you working for them. You might not get a new 580 though. haha
@@WheelingDairyFarmer that sounds like something new at least. I was thinking of doing the Mike Rowe dirty jobs thing as part of the channel. Maybe that wouldnt ve so bad to work for a dairy for a day or two
You should check it out. The harvest in prescott is the craziest, but even if its not the slyrockets…theres a lotta hillsides in thus part of the state

I am going to be in bankout wagon, so grain cart. Thats good tho because then ill get to use the drone to get shots. This was another of the neighbors farms. They let me and my sweetheart come and ride with them. We got 125 gb of video. Should be more to come of a day at their wheat harvest
Seems like its all about ready at the same time then! Our spring wheat has a little green to it still, but the moisture we tested today in the winter wheat was 7%. Plenty ready.

What are you hearing for yields? A few in the Hay/Lacrosse area started early last week. It will be full bore this week in west Whitman County.
Im hearing around 100. Higher in sub irrigated low ground. In the hills in dayton im hearing about 100. Its a good year

Drove to Pullman then north to Montana last week. Looked like things were getting close to harvest.

Is there some kind of benefit of farming these steep side hills? Like is the soil very fertile or something?
Its what we got to work with. Theres hills hills and more hills out here and yes the dirt is deep and soft
