I have been using the @ZWILLINGUSA Fresh & Save food storage system for over 3 months now (at the time of publishing this video) and I can honestly recommend this product. We use it for EVERYTHING and it has replaced our larger, bulkier food vacuum sealer. And we produce less plastic waste than ever before! What food storage system do you use??? I appreciate you! If I was going to marinade something that was later head to a sous vide, I'd use a regular vacuum sealed bag instead of these reusable ones. I wouldn't chance a leak or odour issues.
I love my set. I've been using it for about 6 months. The greatest use for us is bagged salad. No more wilted brown lettuce. Everything lasts much longer.
Great video ! Thanks ! I had a Polyscience vac for a number of years that was extremely flexible but large and cumbersome for my kitchen. I switched to an Avid Armor vacuum chamber that I absolutely love because of it's ability to seal soups etc. I use my chamber constantly for leftovers as well as bulk buying. The small chamber led me desiring more especially for Sous Vide cooking which has led me to this Zwilling sealer. As I write this, I have trusted the sealer with my 4 lb. very expensive prime rib in my Anova sous vide. With the bags from Zwilling I was able to seal the large roast and plop it in the bath. Sweet ! I can see that the ease of use with this handheld will be a welcome addition to my cooking and storing repertoire.
I just purchased the same set mostly to use with freezing coffee beans. After about three months of research I finally convinced myself freezing coffee beans was a good idea. Highly recommend this product. Also, great video. It was fun to watch.👍
@@BeergrYT and the app is surprisingly good. Very helpful for tracking the beans I have frozen. I didn’t even know about it until after I purchased the product. Definite bonus!
You could also just freeze the bread in a bag first, then vac seal it after it's been in the freezer for 24 hours. You should also do that with meats as well so they keep their shape and don't get their juices squeezed out.
Ya know, I don't have an issue but I could see how someone with severe arthritis could have trouble ONLY when they don't release the pressure all the way. Sometimes I have to release it twice.
We just bought a set and have started using them. And then I realised I don't know how to wash the lids 😅. Dishwasher safe... How do you wash the lids? Does water get trapped inside those? Thank you so much for this video.
Not the smell of the fish, but if you have a strong smelling marinade, that can stick with the bags for some time. But, I just keep certain bags for marinades only.
@krikrix16 Good point about the plastic lid on the glass containers. I would assume it's BPA free since the description on the website says the plastic containers are BPA free polypropylene plastic, and that presumably includes the lid.
Absolutely it has! I have a follow up review video on their dry storage containers coming as well. The only CON that I have experienced is when you use the bags multiple times to store and also use them for the sous vide cooking. After several sous vide cooks, the "seal" on the bags can begin to come off. Not a huge deal but something to be aware of
@ Thank you! That’s good to to know. We are considering it motsly for the glass containers for the same reasons you pointed out on this video about the berries shelf life.
I do still use the Nesco, almost 4 years going strong on that little device! I primarily use for bulk freezing. I use the Zwilling system for meal prep, portioning, marinades and sous vide.
Your set should have come with a little black clip looking thingy. That is for sealing the zip top part fully. I will say, I have only had to use that a couple times but after using the bags for sous vide, I noticed the zip top portion starting to come loose after about 5-6 cooks.
@@BeergrYT I do use the black zip and my hands too and then puts button super firmly after sealing as well but when go to get next so many of them aren’t sealed. Maybe they just don’t last long but that’s disappointing because I love and need them
Thanks 🙏🏻!! I use the Zwilling Fresh & Safe System since nearly a year and like it very much. But you showed me some more options which are possible 🤗‼️I will try it immediately 👍🏻!! Warmest greetings from Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪❣️
I’ve had some lose air but I’ve realized that usually happens when I forget to push the little red button down after vac sealing. It doesn’t push down like an actual button but I noticed when I forget to do that, my bags lose the seal. I also make sure to use the little black bag sealer as well to get the best seal on the top. I’ve had two bags lose the “zip lock” style seal on top after several sous vide cooks. Something to be aware of
Easy! Fill em up with hot water and soap, seal them then shake them up. Dump out the water, and wipe the insides with a soapy sponge. Rinse and dry and you're done. Doesn't take much time at all
Thanks for your Video, i wish more familiys would use the vacuum system, we could save money and reduce rubbish from Day one! I find your Video very enjoyable, you have talent! i hope to see more vids in future! 😊
I BOUGHT the 32 piece set which I thought I said. Sorry watching it back I said, "I got the 32 piece set" BUT they did send me the sous vide cooker. Also, I was not paid to make the video.

I hope that you will be getting a replacement! I've been using mine since Jan. 2024 with no problems...Charges up and last for months. Sounds like you just got a lemon.
@@BeergrYT lol oh i know, it's semantics but I feel like it's important bc "Organic" as a label is just marketting. As much as they say it's no chemicals there's no real standard still in the USA for the label so it could have some on it. 🤷

I have a chamber vacuum sealer, and the only prob is when you want to seal soft items, such as bread, which gets crushed. A hard container is perfect.
i found the answer. a plastic box inside a sealer bag

This convinced me. Great review!
Are these easy to open? I have another brand and with my arthritis in my hands is making difficult to open.

You can actually remove the rubber parts of the lids and hand wash those and then put them back on.
Thanks for your review. It really helps me in my decision! I was wondering, does the smell of the fish or the marinades stay on the plastic bags?

@BeergrYT thank you so much for your reply! I ordered my zwilling set and am (im)patiently waiting for it to arrive. 😅
This is great 👏Thanks so much for sharing.

I do still use the Nesco, almost 4 years going strong on that little device! I primarily use for bulk freezing. I use the Zwilling system for meal prep, portioning, marinades and sous vide.
The reusable bags are a great feature. Might get one for myself. Getting tired of fruit and veggies going bad so fast 😅
I am having problems with several of the bags sealing properly. I press the red button afterwards very hard and make sure sealed as well

Yay! Thanks for watching!
I’m lucky to avoid rot for even a day with grocery store berries. Seems like they are already starting to go bad at the store :(
Do the plastic bags hold the vaccuum? I have some but they leak in air.

Great video thank you :)
Thanks for watching!
Plastic waste really bothers me, glad technology is moving this way.
Im not sure about the plastic in hot water. Seems like a chemical bath for your meat.
Great video. Got some good practical-use scenarios thanks to this.
Not sure if you've done anything covering freeze-drying but I've seen a few youtube videos out there with a family claiming to absolutely swear by it.
It’s a cool process but changes texture completely
I haven’t, maybe one day
Works wonderfully for your weed as well.
🤪 no stems no seeds no STICKS

EXACTLY what I want to know. No disclaimer, one way or the other that I caught.....I like to know when I'm being advertised to.

I would think that after using it once it would still be under warranty from the seller, Just return it, no biggie.
All food is organic. :[
Haha well yes but not organically grown as in not using synthetic chemicals or gmo seeds etc.

Do you still recommend this lousy product? The bags are horrible and the pump doesn't charge properly and the whole system is just a joke.
I have this storage system AND the dry foods system and use them DAILY since last January. Maybe you should call the company?
