Really well made video. I'm thinking that family left home too late/got lost and got to the campsite too late and had to set up a tent and beds with kids (by the sounds of it).
That's why I am proud to be child free. Wish I could have the courage to do bike camping.

    • @WildStuff

Child free is definitely the way to be, though it wasn't the kid that started this one - several adult males were screaming something hysterical at each other long before I decided to start recording.

Australia seems like such a cool place. Maybe someday I will pack up my ct110 and have it shipped from here in the US to there and ride for a week. No main roads for me though! Peoples driving is surely a death sentence.

    • @WildStuff

There's a strong market for used CT110s and 90s here in Australia, although some of the asking prices lately are getting ridiculous. And yes Aussie drivers have a reputation, so I try to keep away from heavy traffic and highways on my CT125. I use it for grocery store runs and camping trips.

@Wild Stuff I have a vintage AMC/Jeep I modified that I drive daily. My ct110 needs restoring which I'll do over this winter. Then get my motorcycle license in the spring. I have one of those bike holders that attach to the hitch of my jeep so I can take it on my many adventures. That way I'm safe in my green box for the highways amd then can use the bike on the roads less traveled after I pitch a tent somewhere.
You seem to have a fun thing going, all the best to you!

Great video. I was hoping for a pan of the culprits the next am. How do you get you cameras to follow you when you drive by?

    • @WildStuff
      @WildStuff  Год назад +1

A picture of their big 4x4 and tents was in my original cut of the video, but decided to leave it out so my video didn't come across as a "name and shame" type of video - I hope to never encounter these people ever again.
The camera that appears to be following me is a GoPro Max which films a complete 360 degree spherical 5.6K video in every direction, and allows you to trim out the parts you want in post-processing, including the ability to have a 1080p frame follow you around as you move. Essentially it's "shoot first, frame later".
A couple of videos ago on my channel you'll see a 360 video me riding around Lostock Dam - that will give you an idea of the original format before you trim out the parts that you want.

Omg!! Wtf was with that family? I've had some pretty bad experiences at the Pines too. One night I got in my car with my kids, left the tent there, and went home back to the coast. Came back 2 days later and packed up my tent.

The most feared of all bush creatures, worse than the drop bear and bunyip combined. The Aussie bogan camper. It is said they lack the ability to realise that anyone else is around them, or to care. Shame your great little mid week camp was ruined by these twits.
I think you made the right call in not engaging with them for your own safety. Otherwise, another highly enjoyable video. Thanks Steve and Happy New Years to you!

Never experienced a neighboring camp that was this dysfunctional, I've camped all over I've camped surrounded by an AA conference they were quiet and polite, I've camped next to Air Stream club they sang camp fire songs and sounded like angels, I've never heard such a bunch of inconsiderate big mouths in my entire life.

Reminds me of a time we stayed at a sort or resort. Supporters of an English soccer club rocked up, and we were a bit wary, but then we saw they they also had kids, so thought, oh well, there must be some reasonable adults there. How wrong we were we. Shouting and making a hell of a racket way into the night. My wife rang reception to complain, as did many others, and they went down to ask them to be quiet. That lasted about 10 minutes, but it started up again. More complaints to management who offerred affected guests alternative accommodsation, but this was now into the early morming, so we thought stuff it, why should all the other families have to move. Next, security attended and again they were quiet for about a short period but started up again. Eventually, the police rocked up and kicked them out. By now it was about 3 oclock.
I actually thought that adults with kids would show some sort of respect to others if nothing more than as an exampe to their children. God knows what attitude those kids are going to grow up with. I feel your frustration.

@@WildStuff that's a fair point, I once took out the wing mirror of a Transit van who deliberately cut me up on my Honda 125.
