Great video. These books are true treasures. I'm surprised they're not in some kind of sterilized innert environment, and that gloves aren't required when handling them. Imagine seeing these books 500 years from now. I particularly liked the Johannes Kepler book, "Harmonice mundi". The idea of representing the planets in a kind of musical notation is marvellous.
@CrakenX turns out there are two schools of thought about handling books with gloves, and this librarian is from the bare hands school... must say I did feel very lucky being so close to those books... high geek rating! Couldn't resist having a thumb through Copernicus (with permission of course!) How great that they are public and not locked away in some private collection...

I just want 2 say that the first book was a transilation 4 arabic book that is 1 more evidince that the islamic ages shoulD never B called dark age and i hope that westren try find more about islam from ISLAMIC RESOURCES IAM SURE THAT YOU WILL BE AMAZED BY SCIENTIFC MIRICLES IN QURAN BEFOR 1432 YEARS bcoz not all wt u hear about islam is correct THANX..
