Style doesn't really matter unless you're getting hit a bunch or tryna P rank. From what I can tell, Albino slabs most things away before they can hurt him, and sniffs every wall for secrets, giving enough time to remove hard damage from the things he was too slow to slab. Slab

I'll be honest, a Mandalore Gaming reference was the last thing I've expected to see as a secret in this game.
I admire your use of the charge pistol, Albino. I get why you use it, and in my first playthrough of Ultrakill, I almost exclusively used the pump shotgun with the blue arm because of the pellet parrying. P-Ranking wasn't hard in act 1 with only shotgun (this was before style freshness) and I only got out of using the shotgun because I didn't understand how to beat Minos and how to P rank the rest of the game.
I had friends who could walk me through what to do, but you, Mr. Bino, only had the loud community. I can only hope you doing this out of spite taught the Ultrakill community something, and that it didn't ruin your opinion of the game along the way. I hope you still had fun with this game, I know you've already beaten Sisyphus on stream.

This game is so close to my heart. Watching someone play through it again for the first time really does something to me and reminds me of when I first played. 4-3, "A Shot in the Dark" is my favorite level, and I'm glad to get to see someone stumble through it like I had. I'm sorry people were so uptight about styling. It's something you develop over your playthrough, and some people learn how to do it sooner than others (like myself) who were simply replaying the levels and trying to meet "the par" for S ranking a mission.
I love how albino plays. He just having fun. And he beats v2 with just a revolver and hand. Nice

I love his impression of the ultrakill community that are all about style points being the one and only way to play the game, I love ultrakill and in my professional opinion, style is a way to play the game, not THE way
The sentiment comes from worrying that their favorite streamer might end up disliking the game because they unintentionally make it harder for themselves than they need to be by not fully learning the depth of the combat, style = killing things faster = less chances to die
Fans are zealous about it but I understand their concern isnt entirely wrong
@@mauroghen Agreed about the overzealousness about his fans/chat, but moreover high style/weapon swapping is actively encouraged by the game. At higher combo ranks your dash meter replenishes faster, which is a huge survivability boon. Parrying is also a huge survivability boon not only for negating an attack (usually) but also as an alternative means to replenish one's health.
Point being, it's not so much that there is anything wrong with not engaging with these mechanics, but it is drastically making the game harder for oneself by limiting yourself to only one weapon/playstyle. Regardless, if Albino (or anyone else) finds that added difficulty fun, all the power to them.

When you want to P-Rank the levels but still want to use the revolver, you can unequip everything but said revolver.

@@comrad3892 I saw his vid about what happened, and he is honestly right. I got 200+ hours into the game and honestly, as long as you have fun, that's good. A friend of mine plays on Harmless and just beat the game recently, he said he really liked the game.
I do however do not really align with his view; the community definitely sucked ass for being so annoying, and he is fully in his right to deem it wrong. But bitching about it every time he plays is... well, not really something I should care about, but is it really necessary to do it every other level? I'm saddened by the way the people talk like "he's so slow holy fuck" or "this is mind numbing", that definitely is wrong, but trying to teach him mechanics, at least from what I've seen, mostly is because that way Albino can enjoy the 'full' game (at least the ones that want to tell him what to do in good faith). There's nothing wrong with trying more stuff, I'm sure he'd enjoy trying things at his pace, but people already talked so much shit he just looks at the Style part of the game with spite and disdain. Glad he enjoys it, whatsoever, I'm happy he still plays despite it all.

This is a comment about why switching guns is useful, you do not have to read it, you do not have to listen to my words. I am going to explain why switching guns is useful. Not why you should do it.
1. Specific weapons are more efficient at killing certain enemies, you are also able to rotate around certain cooldowns by switching weapons.
2. Your DPS will skyrocket, not just on bosses but also normal enemies. Your encounters will become a lot easier just simply by killing things faster.
3. This is the big one that you mald about, it increases style meter. When you don't switch guns your meter goes "stale" and you no longer have a significant multiplier on your style gain. Gaining higher style will allow you to get rid of or completely nullify hard damage, the grey stuff you should know it
4. There are multiple satsifying movement and damage or utility techniques combining and using multiple weapons
By using different guns constantly you will be way more efficient and the game will be way easier.
I am not telling you what to do and I do not want you to think of me as a soyboy trying to get you to play the way I do. In the end you should do what is fun for you and if you wish to beat noita without ever using other wands or damage buff perks thus not engaging with most of the game's appeal, that is acceptable.
Do what is fun for you.
Most of the stuff that people try to teach do it in a condescending way. Although I do not like the approach you did at the middle of it, I'm glad you still sent this message, not only because it's "the way you're supposed to play", which is wrong, but rather because it can make stuff easier and quicker and you explained it really well. The style part, whatsoever, is not really required, and doing a Mayo% can still grant you enough points to get an S rank, by leaving aside weapons the freshness of the weapon does not get consumed.
If you only equip 1 or 2 weapons, your guns never go Stale. If you're going to lecture people you should at least be correct.

Something similar already happened, using the basic pistol (not the alternate he is using now) and without punching, called Mayo%. UnderTheMayo said that the game "does not give you any incentives to have fun" therefore he shouldn't use anything else, nor the parrying, punching, or anything aside from the basic pistol, even without charging it. Albino% would be better since you use the Knuckleblaster lol.
