- Eagles OTAs began today and everyone is talking about how DT Jordan Davis looks like he has slimmed down following a disappointing 2023 campaign. Davis is expected to see an increased role in the Birds' defense this season under the new leadership of Vic Fangio. Also, will Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean impress vs AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith. James Bradberry’s starting CB spot might also be in jeopardy. All depends on coaching. They had a stacked offense last year and couldn’t do anything with it. Moore is proven so I’m hoping it’ll be a good offense this year

Barkley is a tackling nightmare and man that guys run through tackles as well as break ankles all over the field, whether catching or running the ball out of the backfield.
Never been to Philly, would be amazing to see the guys plays some "softball". Been a fan for 16 years now, grew up in Indiana and live in Oklahoma now, so would be super cool to meet these guys.

I hate the Saquon argument. Christian McCaffrey played 16 games in three years behind a terrible Carolina line. DeAndre Swift had an injury every year behind a terrible lions offensive line.
McCaffrey was labeled injury prone before going to the Niners oh everyone forgot about that.

I really hope we all weather our expectations. There’s just to much change, new faces and new thought processes for us to have a flawless transition. EXPECT GROWING PAINS. Very young defensive guys that gotta step up when we need em, not to mention our hof center being replaced and a likely first year starter at guard. I have faith we CAN do it, I’m just definitely not expecting excellence from anyone except the the big 3 skill guys, Jalen, and our trio on the oline that’s it. All other 15 starters are question marks. idc who it is, I could give u something im hesitant on.

The fact he’s been so obviously special while on the GIANTS is proof enough but his pass blocking ability is an amazing asset. Swift was… lacking to say something at that. Otherwise combo of Kellen Moore loving his RB outlet passes and play designs, Saquon’s talent, better WR3 competition so many reasons to be high on the dude.

One thing that never gets brought up is Saquon no longer has to play on that shitty new meadowland field but once maybe twice a year. Pair that with a much better oline and not getting 50-60 snaps a game and the injuries won't be an issue

Darius Slay was their best corner last year. Yes, he had some moments but those moments were far and few between unlike every other corner on the roster. I see his play improving with an improved defense as well

I think the HB is important. If the running back can make decent yards, can be a good reciever and a good blocker, then this makes the QB's job easier and provides for multiple dimensions of the offense. The Giants rode him to the point that he was their primary offensive option - that increased injury risks and allowed opponents to load up to stop him without worrying about getting burned by the pass. If Saquon has over 1000 yards from scrimmage and gets double-digit TDs (rushing and receiving), I don't care if he isn't the top back in the NFL. The important thing is that he's on the field every down, which means we aren't telegraphing what we're doing with situational substitutions and that the coaches have confidence in him to be able to do whatever they ask of him. The big thing is if they need to ride him at times during a game, they know they can... with all due respect to the guys that have been here the past few years, Philly hasn't had that in the running back room.

Barkley has never had a good o line , WRs, or a QB. But managed to still be the guy because he is so talented. You put him on a loaded offense with a great o line , great WRs, and great dual threat QB and not only will it be 1st time he isn't facing a loaded box but when you consider the extra space and time he will get because defenses have to worry about not only passing but Hurts running as well he is going to have the easiest time he has ever had running the ball as a pro. If we use Barkley the right way he could be in the MVP conversation. This offense is scary and I'm also excited to see who wins slot wr role , the rookie A. Smith I'm really excited about . Honestly I think he is why Parker retired... Between Smith and Campbell I think WR 3 and 4 are set...
Anyone who thinks Saquan Barkley is not going to have an opportunity to have a great season must not know a whole lot about the game. For one thing he never had an offensive line in NY. He never had weapons like AJ,The Slim Reaper, Dallas Goedert. Jalen Hurts threat to run (even if it isn't what it once was,) will also open up big holes and freeze backers for Saquan. I can't wait to see this team play. Go Birds 🦅🦅🦅🦅

I think Saquan is going to be the best RB in the NFL this season.
No matter Saquon's injury history, the Eagle's will be a better all-around offense. The offensive focus will not be on Saquon...he'll be an outstanding blocker in pass protection while being a more than capable receiver out of the backfield. Plus he'll be that big back you need to help close out games/run out the clock ⏰️

Regarding Saquon...Remember back in the day when the same was said of one CMC, the bad-ass formerly known as agent zero.......*cue crickets*.......having a decent o-line can't be dismissed. Yards before contact will be interesting STAT...lol
This time last year the story was that Davis was looking slimmed down from his rookie season. So he's slimmed down twice now. Meh.... we'l see. He needs to be that run-stopping anchor. Over the last two months of the season a Pop Warner team could run the ball on them. If he is successful, he brings monstrous value to this defense.
