You forgot to tell us what happens if our computers don’t automatically tell us what one we need. After I get to that point it asks if I want to download the installer or zip file and it just as lost as before.

Good information, but spoken at a fast pace which makes it difficult to comprehend comfortably. Also, the microphone used produces a rather sharp sound. It is clear, but a little harsh sound. Otherwise good. I have been using Audacity for many years, but I needed to tell someone else about it. When I downloaded in the past I had to download two parts. An additional part. I presume that now the one download is all one needs?
Maybe you can help... Have problems with older versions of audacity been fixed in the newer versions????

I'll explain...
If you record multiple tracks for each project, start from zero every time, all the tracks should be in time, in sync, or however you wanna word it.
But with older version, oftentimes they're not & the timing is all over the place.
& it is near impossible to fix that; I've seen videos showing how to sync up the tracks so they're "in time" but none of the suggestions in any of those videos works. Some tell you to drag a track to the spot you want it so that it''s in time with the others. But you can't...it moves ALL the tracks; you can't move just one. At least I can't.
Besides that, you shouldn't even have to do that anyway, especially when you start at zero when recording each new track!!! Ridiculous!!!!
I'm just wondering if they fixed that problem in the newer versions before I waste my time even trying it out.
