Welcome back to my channel! Here is another vlog from my beach vacation in Sochi, that was full of special events - family gathering, sunrise on paddle boards, visiting a local market, swimming competition, and more!

Fig jam!! My mom always made 2 things with figs. One lot (the very ripe ones) cut in pieces and make jam. The other figs stay whole and we called it canned fruit ... but it was in bottles. I loved this!! I loved all the jams and 'canned' fruit. My dad's family were always the 1st to 'look' what fruits she did and left with about 6 bottles! Appreciate your mother and grandmother.

The dog sure had fun swimming from board to board. Liked the fresh food you had and the fresh fruit and vegetables. Can't say the beach was enticing with all that gravel, but you made it look good sunbaking.
It's always great to see your videos. It's such a pity thst there are problems in Europe otherwise i wouldn't mind joining you for your early morning adventure. What a wonderful life you live with family and friends

Hi again Sveta… here in the United States you would usually go to a local tailor or maybe shoemaker to make any alterations, including belts. Unfortunately with today’s buy-new disposable societies, local mom and pop repair stores are disappearing. I think that you meant that the air got dryer and less stuffy and humid. Hope that this helps😊…
Definitely worth getting up early for, well done on keeping your balance! Resize belt about 12-15 Euros in France. Only 3 weeks until I visit Moscow, can't wait.

Fantastic to wake up to you, I mean your video. A ray of sunshine in our turbulent world. Stay close to your family, as time goes on you would miss them greatly, I know from experience. Even my home country where I was born in Hungary, is giving me a proud, love driven desire to return. When I started my youtube channel my moto was 'YOLO' - you only live once' and that was back in the early 2000's - that was when I hit the travel road. My father is furrier so I can have this things like belts, some fixes etc. for free but yeah here in Czech we usualy have small shops inside supermarket where you can go to fix your shoes, to do new keys and stuff like that with belt. I think it is very similar like in Russia. Also I think it depends on the prize of the belt or other stuff tbh.. there are cheap ones and I dont think much people care about fixing/tweaking it - maybe I´m wrong but for them there is this variant, and then you can have better quality or luxurious and definitely we have some special shops for this too but it cost more of course (10 usd and more maybe).

Hey Svetlana! To answer your question about getting things fixed. In the US people generally go to a show repairman and he will fix belts and bags as well. It's probably not as cheap - I would say probably at least $10 for the belt but that might also depend where in the US you'll live. Hope this helps! I love your videos ❤

You are correct. There are people in other countries they put their feet in the aquarium To let the little fish nibble the dry skin from their feet and legs etc. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. Excellent videos by the way. Keep up the good work

FANTASTIC.
American here, to repair like leather or belts you would have to go to a shoe repair shop or find someone online indepentantly that has the tools and just works from home. For needing like clothes fixed or sewed you would just go to the dry cleaners. A lot of dry cleaners in america will also fix garments.

To get a leather belt resized and modified in Holland, you would have to find a shoe maker who'd be willing to take on the job. Most of them won't feel like it so it will end up to be over-prized once you have found one, willing to do it. Manual skills are being looked down upon in The Netherlands, generally.

You would love the beaches in Australia, golden white sandy beaches instead of pebbled darker sand. Bananas grow very well here. 👍

Your weather in Sochi in September is the same as Southern California in November.
IN Australia we have a thing called Mister Minit in Shopping Centres that often do things like that, cut keys, punch belt holes &c. I think Hardware stores can do it easily too.

The fish (Garra rufa, the only species authorized for "fish pedicure") remove dead skin cells, calluses, eczema and psoriasis. But also warts.
It works by micro-sucking (they don't have teeth 🦈 ;-) and an enzyme they secrete, dithranol, which is also used in creams, ointments, pastes in concentrations of 0.1 to 2%.
Eczema and psoriasis are absolutely not contagious, contrary to legend.
Warts, on the other hand are contagious. For this reason, Svetlana, it's always a good idea to check the level of hygiene in the beauty salon and, if possible, that of the salon's regular customers.

I am going to visit Russia one day.
Here in Quebec Canada you would have to go to the cordonnier "shoemaker" for your belt, it would cost almost the same price, it costed me 8$ to replace a strap on my dog's harness and he did an excellent job.

In Cincinnati, we have Mt Lookout Shoe and Purse repair. The company has been around for decades. I’ve had boots stretched there and a leather camera light meter holder repaired there. Nice folks. Great craftsmen. I think in the US it might run a little more expensive as you’re supporting an independent business and it might not, depending on the craftsman and how busy the shop is.

Having belts, purses fixed here in Pennsylvania(PA) is about $.25 per hole needed. If you go to an Amish harness maker & give his wife a Russian recipe idea, you'd get it for the Amish price of $.10.
I have my 2 work belts made for me for $2.50 each, my work coat and vest were made for $10 each (but they are Amish pattern).

What you need to understand is we pay a lot for fuel. ⛽️ that affects everything we buy very negatively. Everything is expensive here. I was shocked to read that in Japan you can buy a new car for $15'000. Here it's $50'000AUD or higher for a mid sized car. Toyota Corolla like base model 30K. 😮

Regarding resizing the belt, it depends on wear you purchased it. If it were purchased through a high end retail store they would probably do it for free, especially if you had already paid a lot for it. However, if you just take it to a tailor they might charge you a few dollars if they are just punching another hole in the belt for you. Or they might do it for free.
That's in November 2022.
In the USA , you would take the belt to a shoe repair shop, there they would charge around $10.00

Hi Svetlana, I bought a good leather belt, and I took it back to get resized. And they did it for free part of their service.
