Barely added weight to the stick (roughly 68grams and this includes the tape normally on your stick blade and Buttend). Painting them isn’t a good idea. It ruins the stick, removes the grip coating (which means adding paint and more tape for grip) paint comes off in your gloves and lots of other issues including multiple layers of paint required to totally hide branding and logos. It’s also difficult to find out how much weight you are adding with paint. With the tape, we could weigh it and remove the cover up at the end for the big reveal. This was a better option.
@@HockeyTutorialOfficial they're both fine options. Maybe the tape could have possibly messed with the kick point / flexibility little bit right? The tape grip is different from the grip on the stick right? You could have used both options but for the sake of what you're doing and the reveal the tape is fine. Just saying adding anything to a stick could make some sort of difference not significant enough for the sake of the video. Easiest answer " yes that's another possible way"
@@HockeyTutorialOfficial if you can feel the difference in weight with just nob and blade tape then the entire stick being tapped is going to be a major difference in the feel. Interested to see another one with some minimal painting to cover the logos and see if there is a difference in reaction.

You should do a thin layer of plasti dip instead of the tape, with the full tape job your adding almost 20% additional weight to the stick, and the plasti will peel off at the end as well

This is a great idea. Blind testing equipment is great fun. If you could find a way to do it with skates that would be awesome! But definitely do this again with sticks as well. 3 or 4 sticks next time and have each player sort them after their liking as well as guessing which is which.

Joshua Halsell HPC has lied about the specs on their sticks and are NOT the same as “top tier elite level sticks” as they claim for half the price - i’ve actually caught them photoshopping their ads showing 18k carbon blades while when you go to purchase they actually are a less durable/heavier 3k/6k carbon weave and at the price you pay you are actually getting the same if not worse product than the big name retailers at that price point. As of right now the Panther stick - Senior is $200. Hockey Tutorial my bad. Here on this site it is described as a mid kick hockeysupremacy.com/fr/batons/senior/warrior-alpha-qx-baton.html But I think your source is right because it is right from warrior!
You should hand them two exactly the same sticks coverd up, but telling them they are two different ones. Lets see how that mental game plays out!
That’s a funny idea 🤣😂 lets make it happen!
Easy there Satan.
Questions is... which sticks?
Hockey Tutorial get 2 Bauer sticks and tell them that 1 is a warrior and 1 is a small brand.
Yes the placebo effect, or use top spec sticks and tell them they are budget sticks or vise versa lol.
The tape could mess with the performance a little. Next time spray paint em black. Let them tape the blade

When is PAMA video coming? I really dont want to get one before someone reviews it for Me...
Do a ccm, Bauer and no name brand but tell them its a warrior or something. That way the don't even know it's not a name brand
Only real fans saw them trying to make the thumbnail on Instagram
You are awesome !
Hockey Tutorial omg thanks for the heart and your vids r awesome
Thank you for watching them :)
Hockey Tutorial thanks for making them:)

Do it with PAMA, that would be interesting...
My friend have PAMA stick. And acutally they are made in Finland right in my small town. That's my biggiest flex😂
Love that OU jersey

Nate Nakao they dont have low kick models
So many questions around PAMA. Working on the video.
Hockey Tutorial yes nice
What were the flex profiles? 175 and 177??? That's more than Chara's. Or was it one 75 and one 77.

Loïc Hans Duskic if it was 177 flex Chara himself wouldn't be able to flex it, let alone these guys

If u put a long strip on tape vertically down the shaft you’ll use way less tape so it’s lighter and you still can’t see what it is
Still the same surface area your covering, no matter how you do you tape it doesn't change the square footage your covering, use your brain lmao.
@@stpbasss3773 no because they overlap with standard tape jobs so likely using more tape that way.
You should of painted them because the tape is heavy
