This video explains the different types of kayak’s in less than 5 minutes. You can then review others that go into a little more depth about the advantages of one over another.
Great information! I've only ever been kayaking once. I was on vacation with a friend, and we rented one that we both could sit in. It was the more open kind. I've been wanting to do this ever since again, and now I am about to move to a new home where I will have a small Salt water creek in my backyard! There is a dip in the yard leading into the salt Creek and I have been told that it is they are to be able to put a kayak in. So I have been looking at inexpensive used ones to find something that will work for me. I found one that is close by and $145. But then I started thinking, I really don't know anything about these, and I don't know if this one is a good choice or not.
This video is not very detailed. Go to a kayak store demo day. I tried out about 20 kayaks before I bought my Hobie Revolution. I also have a Sea Eagle inflatable kayak. Most people in Texas buy sit on tops, as the water is warm from April to November. Longer boats are faster. Many fishing boats are wide and have peddles and rudders. You don't have spend a lot of money. A friend bought one for $40. The man wanted to get rid of it.
A bit over-simplified. You can get long narrow fast fibreglass sit on top kayaks. Examples of brands, Stealth or Epic, (best known for ocean racing skis).
wow, why so few views and likes? Great quality, essential information. Appreciate!
Really appreciate this video. Is right to the point answering all the questions I had. Thank you!

I don't know why this thing keeps capitalizing the word Creek, LOL! I'm not doing that on purpose 🙄

San Juans?
When I heard inflatable and foldable I immediately said NO in my mind
Fun fact. First time kayak owners probably wont be buying a kayak made out of either of the two materials listed. Basic info here is helpful though,
well they should.
I want to know how you could dislike a video like this. "Kayak video no funny so I smash dislike" their exact thoughts
