Metals are generally good conductors of electricity. The conductivity of a metal is the ability to allow electricity to pass through it. Since aluminium is a metal with low resistance and good conductivity it is used in electrical wires.
Then the copper is allso the good conductivity why it is not use
beacuse there are not many electrons moving in it

You way of teaching is awesome.
Thank You Sunil Sir.
0:15 great intro
Copper is a preferred wiring for the our home over aluminium because it is of use and ability to effectively conduct electricity it is more stable durable performs better than aluminium wires . Cooper wire has low level of resensitivity and also good conductor of electricity.
Aluminium has 61% of copper conductivity . The cross section area of an element in conductor should be 56% largest then copper to carry the same cutting the need of to increase the thickness of aluminium wire restrics it used in many appliance such as small motors and automobiles. It is also cheaper than copper.

Tensile strength of copper is twice that of aluminum, which makes it ideal for electrical conductivity at home. On the other side, it is not a good choice for high voltage lines. This is because high voltage line transmissions involve lots of bending of the cable when doing installation.
❤
We don't use silver wires at home beacuse it is very expensive metal but a really good conductors and the second reason is due to its reactivity
And the not for theif😂😂
Hi
@Harshul who are you
@@piyushpunjal3438 stranger duh 😂
Hi diksha your answer is correct I think
Aluminum is a common material used in the construction of electrical wires. Unfortunately, aluminum wiring is not as strong as copper wiring, and it has a higher thermal expansion coefficient.
Sir , aluminium has a significantly higher specific electrical resistivity than copper. This difference is highly relevant for power cables.Aluminium conductor requires 56% larger cross-sectional area than copper for same current carrying capability.
Hi, where are you from😊
17:25 because silver oxygen se react karta hai
Really very satisfied with your way of teaching, detailed concepts out of NCERT....very very helpfull for those who wants to learn extra ordinarilly
15:25
You are right
really
Copper is preferred wiring for our home over almunium because of its ease of use and ability effectively conduct electricity and copper is also previous than aluminium
Copper is a good conductor of heat but we use aluminium at transmission lines
The main reason is cost
16:30 Sir Indium भी alkali metals में आता है क्या?
Copper is the preferred wiring for your home over aluminum because of its ease of use and ability to effectively conduct electricity. It is more stable, durable, and performs better than aluminum wires. Copper is known to have better Conductivity than Aluminium.
Aluminum is preferred in overhead power cables because it is a good conductor, so it can transport current with minimal losses while also being lightweight enough to not need the large support structure

No silver's wire are cheap
@@Renu132 how can silver be cheaper than copper? It cant be the jwellery are also expensive when it comes to silver
Though silver is a very good conductor of electricity but still that is not used in electric wiring primarily due to its cost. It's very expensive compared to the widely used wiring material copper. Another reason for not using silver is that , it oxidizes easily and tarnishes when it comes in contact with air.

Why every good teacher can only be found online, why can't our school teachers teach like this.😐
Q.1 07:13 Ans. Copper is the preferred wiring for our home over aluminum because of its ease of use and ability to effectively conduct electricity. Remember that aluminium conducts less well when we compare it with copper but copper is comparatively heavier The density of aluminium is only one third of the density of copper so the light weight of aluminium is the main reason for using aluminium instead of copper in overhead connections.

U are the best teacher whom I've found to improve my chemistry😊
Beta answer do thik hai 7:20
Aluminium wire will be much thicker but it will be lighter compared to copper since the density of aluminium is only one third of that of copper. The conductivity to weight ratio of aluminium is better than that of copper that is why we prefer aluminium in overhead power connections.
I understand whole chapter thank you so much sunil sir☺️☺️
Though silver is a good conductor of heat but it is not used in making electric wire as it is very expensive . silver is a noble metal and it is used in making jewelry it is also used in electroplating and in making high Value coins that is why silver is not used in making electric wires. 17:14

I think we use copper and aluminium wire instead of silver wire(which is best conductor of electricity) because silver wire is more expensive .
Copper wire are not used insted Overhead alumiNium wire becasu its melting point is low so it can melt or if we use aluminium wire then our applinces does not get sufficient electricity as it has high resistance
We use aluminium as the overhead power cable instead of copper because
Aluminium is
-Light weight
-cheaper
And the silver is not used as a electrical wire as it's very expensive !! And copper in compare is cheaper !!

17:24 Because silver is costly than copper and aluminium
copper wire contracts less when heated than aluminium wire. Due to this, it expands less than aluminium wiring does when heated. Wires in an electrical circuit get hotter due to the flow of electricity. Aluminium wiring expands more than copper wiring when heated.
Ductility is also an important characterstice property of matels

Sir silver is not used in Electric wire because it is expensive . But instead of these we use copper as electric wires because it is cheaper and it is a good conductor of electricity.
No your ans is totally wrong
@@guriyarani2373 Ok can you tell me the correct answer if my answer is wrong.

Sir because of the aluminum , its wires tend to overheat because of its disposition . When there's continuous contraction and expansion , the wire connections would loosen and cause the wire to creep out under the screws causing circuits to arc .
