I live in a rural area, three hours from a primary target, over an hour to the nearest tertiary target, and not downwind from any target closer than the other side of the Pacific. If given enough time (conventional exchanges between aircraft and/or naval vessels) I will pack up and head north toward Portland Oregon... but likely, I will have to survive, and have deeply and thoroughly prepared within my means to do so.
I see what you mean, but I feel like it's more realistic. At least, it is when there's a rapidly evolving situation where the authorities don't even have all of the details
Charlotte, NYC, and San Francisco are pretty much the US big three banking and financial cities. I’m surprised Atlanta isn’t a target in this scenario, however hitting Charlotte and DC would absolutely cripple the Northeast and Southeast in themselves
To say nothing of what would happen if the TVA was hit; take that down, and you cripple power generation for something like a quarter of the country....
This is the first EAS mockup to feature Grand Rapids, MI as a target. Grand Rapids is a city in the middle of the southern half of the lower peninsula and is the main large city in Michigan (Detroit is a sick joke of a city nowadays). Grand Rapids is about the size of Chicago (maybe bigger if you include the suburbs) and has the backup trade center built just in case the WTC in NYC gets hit again so it makes perfect sense that Kim Jong Un or Vlad Putin would target the city.
@@mharris5047Grand Rapids may have the physical size of Chicago. Not population Grand Rapids is roughly the size of Rockford Il. Which was high on the Soviet Necular attack list due to government contractors like Sundstrand and Rockford fasteners.
Atlanta is a major railway and road hub, in addition there are Air Force bases, ATL Airport, and IT infrastructure and labor. It would absolutely be a primary target.
from a portland resident: we do, but they're inside of government buildings (fire stations, police precincts, administrative buildings, etc.) and aren't tested. they're completely electronic and are essentially really loud speakers, most likely of the whelen manufacturer. think of how DC's invisibile siren system is. it's like this due to potential hackers and they don't want people knowing their exact locations, models, etc. and it preserves them for potential future use without having to replace them like the midwest does.
In the world of social media, where do you think people will be? On Facebook posting about it, making memes, even some idiots posting pics or videos when it hits :(
Same!! I kinda teared up when the voice said down leave your pets behind. Do you have any idea how many scenarios I watched that said to just put the pets down because they’d consume resources?? I could never do that to my babies!!
i dont understand some of the chosen cities that were struck. why astoria and sacramento? sure they’re decently sized cities but they’re not necessarily primary targets
This really scares me , its like Majoras Mask Final Hours Im Not leaving all my families & Girlfriends family , Friends & Teachers and sports Athletes , and Animals as well. I will provide Sanctuary for them.
4 + minutes of the. same. recording. on repeat. Awesome scenario but get to “the actual emergency” sooner please. I almost turned it. Glad I didn’t, but yeaaaaahhhh, repetition like that is almost anxiety inducing…

To much redundancy and “dead” space, no pun intended. Could have been done in a quarter of the time taken up by the dead space-no text, no audio. Actually checked a few times if it was buffering or had stopped running altogether. Not trying to be mean, just my opinion.
I think the best thing to do in this scenario, just go out and watch the show. There will be no winners in a nuclear exchange. ☮️
My exact plan for the passed 50 years. Lawn chair and 6 pack of beer.

Damn right.
I don’t like it when alerts don’t get to the point and waste your time until it’s near too late to take action

The only thing that kinda confuses me is that there aren't any sirens in Portland, or anywhere nearby Portland.
Portland has a Modulator and Whelen, but it's unknown if they're in use or not.
@LARDLOGO where? I live in Portland and I haven't seen any
45°32'39.3"N 122°41'11.9"W (Whelen)
maps.app.goo.gl/QKqJf8idoCpik1UD8 (Modulator)
Portland has sirens, but there's no use in them anyway because the area was bombed out by it's inhabitants and transplants a long time ago.

Me @ 3:30 - Which is it? Is KOIN staying on the air or not? Pick one -- it's getting annoying.
I thought that too
Absolutely loved this, can’t wait for more of this stuff!

Try Ambient Escapade - also incredible 😊
Good video but I hope in a real emergency they don't take so long to get to the emergency
Fair play to you

I could be wrong about this, but to be honest, all internet sources would be disconnected due to total blackouts.
That heavenly sound is from another video called "ALL FALLS DOWN".
When i search that up, I get Kanye west
@RUclipscanbeaweirdplaceattimes look up nuclear attack alerts, it should come up
@@robertcampbelljr.3195 i found the siren for it
