Amen! I don't think people realise firstly, how individualised these consultations are, and secondly, that they're asking you to work for free.

I love this! My mom and I are great examples. Our coloring is so similar you would think it’s identical - but we both got draped together in person and she’s a warm spring and I’m a warm autumn. It was really obvious when we were getting draped and completely unexpected!

That scenario would make a great video to illustrate the point: people who look similar but turn out not to be the same season.

I have seen this watching the drapping of 2 twins . 1 cool summer, the other is deep winter.
Mom is warm autumn, her mom is true winter, I am a cool summer, my son is light spring.

I'm so glad you clarified this. After spending almost a year binge watching your videos and other content creators about color analysis, I was only able to find out what my season was after paying for a consultation. Since you asked for videos requests, I have a suggestion that may help not only me but other people as well. How do we wear clothes in our wardrobe that are not part of our palette and don't go quite well with our season colors? I am a spring but I have some clothes that are black, grey and even navy blue. Sometimes I have a hard time pairing them with my warm colored clothes since they don't harmonize really well.
I would love to know the best way to combine those different colors, thank you so much as always for your amazing content!

Totally agree. I follow a RUclipsr with whom I thought I had similar characteristics. She is a true autumn. I thought maybe I might be too? Turns out I'm nearly the opposite as a cool summer. Autumn colors are some of my worst. Everyone really needs their own analysis.

I was sure I'm muted as many Soft Summers look simular to me. And I looked muted and washed out (because of wrong colors I was wearing). Then I had a color analysis in person and it turned out I'm cool, light and clear. Those colors make me shine.

I have a weird video request. Sometimes everyone including someone's own family gets the eye colour wrong. Especially lighter eye colours like light blues and light greens. My whole family says that I have hazel eyes. I don't. I look in the mirror and see sea green eyes. But it's not about me; it's about people in general for whom this happens. How do people get this so wrong lol?

Yes, that is the same with me; people often say I say brown eyes, but they have never been brown, they are olive green. In fact one of the first compliments (I think it was a compliment?) my husband gave me many years ago, on our first date - "your eyes are like a couple of cocktail olives"!

    • @vtcs1963

Funny my mother always said I had hazel eyes but I put brown on my passport the first time I was old enough to renew it myself (like 40+ years ago) and also on my driver’s license and nobody has ever stopped me when trying to get into the country (or stopped for a ticket) and said “This is not you! Those eyes are hazel!!”

    • @musicalneptunian
      @musicalneptunian 4 месяца назад

@@vtcs1963 Hazel is controversial. Many people define hazel as a type of brown. I disagree. To me "hazel" eyes are that muddy green colour like a stagnant pond. The eyes seem to look green one second and brown the next second and go back and forth. p.s I must be the most mis coloured person - people get my eye colour wrong. They get my hair colour wrong as well. Some people call all hair brown because they see life as a physics equation where black is not truly possible; but I have black hair or so close to it. If I have to win that argument I've had people giving me a hair cut say how dark my hair is and if anyone would get it right it's them.

What an important point you made!
I watch your and other creators videos and take inspiration from women I feel I'm close to in color or body shap. I know it is not the same as a personal consultation and I don't take everybbit of advice literaly because not everything works for me. Also sometimes the tips are contradictory from one expert to other!
However, my sense of style has improved greatly thanks to you and a handful of other creators. You are helping lots of people to feel better about themselves!
Someday I would like to have a personal consultation, but nowadays it is not the right time
Said that, I love your videos about colors and how to wear/mix them so please keep doing them!

I thought this was a great video. I had a color analysis last year and was really surprised by the results (that I am cool winter). All the online tests, green veins, hazel eyes (or brown, see above), red highlights in my hair - led me to think I was a warm season. I think it would be great to see a video when you explains but what undertone actually is and how the draping figures it out, because I see so many influences ramble on about how their skin is cool or warm or whatever and I think they have no clue. I tried buying makeup in Sephora and the salesperson said I was “cool” because I had pink in my skin. I had to return the makeup because when I tried it at home it looked like I had been embalmed and was now grey. I think that this whole color analysis thing is just so much more complicated than most people understand and learning a bit about it - for me anyway - was extremely helpful.

Foundation makeup matches the overtone, which can be a different color/hue from the undertone.

Could you do a video about sparkle and who it suits or doesn’t suit? I am someone who looks “off” without at least some sparkly stud earrings on.. and “off” without some sparkle in my eyeshadow- so I know I need that… but I have seen people posting comments about this on other channels regarding themselves and their season and whether or not sparkle suits them and whether they should go for more matte textures or satin finishes, and what coverage foundation suits them… personally I think the brighter seasons are probably going to best suit translucent and sparkling things and the summers and autumns are going to suit more matte and full coverage.. but I am not the expert so this would be interesting coming from you and I think would help people.
