The vibes he gives out when he says that are downright uncomfortable and I get a lot of unfortunate implications from it. I think the same can be said for the death scenes caused by Dwayne, Elliot, and Andy.
Glad to know it's not just me; got it on Steam last year, after having played it as a kid..... and it STILL creeped me out. Now I partially know why, because it had a few more spooky moments than most Nancy Drew games tend to have!
As a kid the ghosts never scared me, but what absolutely terrified me was when nancy would be trapped in dangerous locations and would have to solve a weird puzzle to escape.
Curse of Blackmoor Manor: Nancy and Plant, knocking on Mrs. Drake door at night Creature at Beginning of game Secret of the Crystal Skull: skeleton man, weird stuff in Bolet house.
…………thank you for restarting my nightmares. I blame myself only for watching this VOLUNTARILY 😆 I love playing the series always, but damn…..up until after Creature of Kapu Cave…….each game had its collection of super creepy and unsettling moments and MUSIC. 😭😆
I used to be so triggered by these parts and they still give me the creeps as I’m watching at 1 am and being 26. But I wouldn’t exchange that for anything I loved Nancy Drew games it was my childhood.
@@h193013Yes that was creepy as hell but I think that it was just to show more proof of what The Royal Pladium has sadly turned into such a rundown dump.
The "I see you" traumatized me when I was a kid. I wasn't allowed to play nancy drew afterwards 😂
Absolutely! I jump out of my skin every time
I remember playing it, hearing that then running upstairs to the kitchen where my mother was as it terrified me 😭
@@ashleightompkins3200Me too even though it turns out to be a recording from Abby that definitely doesn't stop from making any less terrifying!
I regret the nancy drew games not being as known as they should be.
Ok but “Here’s Shorty” is def one of the scariest things HeR ever put into a game and I’ll die on that hill JANSKSISJ
I second that!!!
@@shavedparmesanprosciuttoan4317 I third it! He scared me so badly when I couldn't work that puzzle out fast enough.

@@shavedparmesanprosciuttoan4317Hey Nancy did pick Them ripe Vegetables yet?
I love how they didn't give a shit if kids were traumatized back in the day
Haha
That Mirror Haunting and the ghost attack gets me, Japanese horror is something else.
these TERRIFIED me as a kid
@@undomyhead4557Me too well I was a actually a Teenager but still it's absolutely terrifying for a fake Ghost that turns out to just be a Robot.
Nancy Drew should be VR games! I would literally buy all of them immediately if they made them all VR
Turning the corner in the sleeper car and seeing Camille's ghost dancing outside the window in #13 scared the daylights out of me as a kid
Pretty much anything from Shadow at the Water's edge. That damn mirror scene still gets me.
Curse of blackmore will always be the scariest game. Even as an adult it gives me the creeps.
Sameee
Glad to know it's not just me; got it on Steam last year, after having played it as a kid..... and it STILL creeped me out. Now I partially know why, because it had a few more spooky moments than most Nancy Drew games tend to have!
the ghost dog attack was always the scariest!!
As a kid the ghosts never scared me, but what absolutely terrified me was when nancy would be trapped in dangerous locations and would have to solve a weird puzzle to escape.
Blackmoor and Shadow at the water's edge will always be the most terrifying.
Ugh pure Goosebumps
I know, right!
0:56 the piano, the reaction on rose face and the broken glass, I'm sorry it's so funny
Curse of Blackmoor Manor: Nancy and Plant, knocking on Mrs. Drake door at night
Creature at Beginning of game
Secret of the Crystal Skull: skeleton man, weird stuff in Bolet house.
The models of the old ones are just so uncanny even the good guys scared me
OMG the blackmore manor one scared me SO BAD when I was a kid
…………thank you for restarting my nightmares.

"Here comes Shorty", scared me the first time then I'd just bust out laughing
Gotta love reliving all the moments that haunted my childhood/teen years and I only have myself to blame LOL
Honestly to me the scariest ones for me was the ones from Ghost of Thornton Hall xD
Scariest moment was the stay tuned for danger ending. I thought its too scary for a preteen game
One of the scariest ND moments for me was when replaying MHM once. I thought I knew about all the scares. I was wrong.
I used to be so triggered by these parts and they still give me the creeps as I’m watching at 1 am and being 26. But I wouldn’t exchange that for anything I loved Nancy Drew games it was my childhood.
I'm thirty years old and the seance scene has stuck with me since childhood lmao
wwWhere caaan she bbEeeee
I just realized how low quality these games were even for the time lol. Oh well, still a classic
Tbf the frame rate is pretty bad in this vid, although still a good compilation
For the newest one, finish the armor puzzle & then look at the violin.
Though i didn't really play as many nancy drew games growing up. I do love some of the themes of the spooky games shown in the video
Wait the dummy can malfunction in The Final Scene?! How do you trigger that to happen?
After you get the flash powder you need to try and play the game again and it will break
@@h193013Yes that was creepy as hell but I think that it was just to show more proof of what The Royal Pladium has sadly turned into such a rundown dump.
21:48 they reused this in Midnight in Salem lol
I remember playing this with my sisters…I still have the dreams. The one with the monster outside of the window in the mansion I think it was…
