Vocals are on the money ! Let's be realistic This is a very good crafted production. The vocals are typically boy band. i.e auto tune on the backing vocals. Very competent session musicians and a producer who knows how to deliver a hit.

When i was a child me and my 3 brothers use to have all their singles on CD and would learn all the songs doing shows in our bedrooms. We sent them a postcard once upon a time, saying we was their biggest fans, They actually replied and invited us to a meet and greet in Birmingham.

It took me 18 freaking years to find this song! I couldn't remember the lyrics because I was 9 or 10 years old when I first heard it and the chorus keept on playing in my head like a broken record, hanting me like a curse. Found an app that lets you hum the song and after 5 tries I finally found it.

sometimes, very randomly, this song would pop up in my head. i was just a kid and my older cousin would always play this band around me. years later, 2021, i like listening back to this. A1, westlife amd Backstreet Boys where the main ones i grew up on. i miss this type of music. ❤️

It was unusual to hear a "boy band-ish" tune back then that actually had real drums. 2002 was a pretty crappy year, but this song was pretty smooth. Craig David "Walking Away" was nice too.
2002 was the last great year. Anyway, "Walking Away" was from 2000 not 2002.

This for me is still one of my most favourite boyband songs of all time. It's up there with "Back for Good" and "I Want It That Way". The fact A1 wrote or co-wrote all their output speaks volumes to how well their stuff has held the test of time 15 years on from release.

@@vsj4786 He didn't say which band did "Back for Good" or "I Want It That Way". Yes, the latter is a Backstreet Boys song and Back for Good is by Take That - most people probably know that. The point he was making is that this song is up there with the best songs by the most well-known boy bands, yet A1 never fully got the recognition, or credit, they deserved for their music in the way the other better known bands have, which is a real shame.
These were mine & my sisters favourite band when we were younger. Still have CDs in the car & know every lyric of every song 🙈 We are now 30 & 26 lol

Bummer how it didn't make it to no.1 in uk then. Best song from them in my opinion. The winter background for the mv just drives the cold meaning of the song home. And their vocals are on point. Great job guys. See u soon in concert!

My very dear friend died a little over 4 months ago, and she was the biggest A1 fan. She loved seeing them at 90s weekends and other events.
This was the last song we discussed before she passed, so I'll always think of her when I hear it. Miss you more than anything Barnes, they really did break the mould when they made you. See you on the other side x.

They do sound alike with this song and genre. Actually, when A1 was trying to work on the third album, Paul asked if they could have a rock vibe added since he was a fan of rock songs. Hence, the diversion from pop.

Even though as an adult I have more money to feel 'free' and do/buy things and go to places I want, I feel like the time when I was between 16 and 21 was the best. Even as a poor student. Time is more important than money, don't waste your youth!

This is such an amazing song, so catchy and memorable. Along with Backstreet Boys, A1 were always one of my favourite boy bands and this song is one of the all-time best boy band songs (even if the lead singer on it sounds at times as if he was about 10 years old at the time!). I have the album this is from and there are lots of other lovely songs on there too. Well worth a buy if you can find it!
