About XG- {long read}
XG aka Xtraordinary Girls are all Japanese except one member Harvey who is Japanese-Australian, so they’re technically a JPop group and not a kpop group. They’re actually marketed as a global girl group with their target audience being kpop fans. They all speak English as well as Korean and have released two songs in English so far and plan to release songs in Korean and Japanese in the future. They’re under the company XGalX and are a group resulting from a collab project between Avex ent. & the Japan based branch of YG Ent. XG are currently in Korea right now promoting on all of the music shows so catch them on there to see how a group full of Ace’s deliver a complete & live stage! and I hope to see them maybe promote in America or globally in the future too!.

@@iicrazyii7575 XG’s Creator, Simon said in a fan Q&A that XG was planned/ created with Hikaru joining in as a future member in mind meaning that once she’s done with Kep1er in 2024 if all goes according to plan, Hikaru will join the group as the final member. Hikaru is also seen in the XG journey video as well and if she’s not gonna join in the future I’m pretty sure they would’ve edited her out of such a significant video like that.

People maybe I’m the only who thinks that XG is not that girl group influenced only with kpop. Their song have several combination maybe of kpop but there is a huge influence of pop maybe most of you don’t know but the part when they sang this is my party and I cry if i want to is an extract of a song of maybe the 70’s that is nothing related to kpop or jpop.
