- Will Newcastle United qualify for Europe again this season? In this video I try to work out whether or not Eddie Howe's team will secure enough points in their remaining Premier League matches to qualify for Europe, either the Europa League or the Europa Conference.
Do you think Newcastle will qualify for Europe next season?

How many points do you think Newcastle United will win before the end of the season?
Spurs(0) CP(+3) SHU(+3) Burnley(+3) BHA(+3) MU(+1) Brentford(+1~3)
Total +14~16-> 61~63 Final 6th or 7th Place in PL
Welcome back mate. If we finish sixth it will be a massive achievement. I predicted top 8 at the beginning of the season as I felt it would be tough. I didn't expect it to be this tough!
Thanks Dexter!! Yeah it’s been a bit of a slog the 2nd half of the season. Let’s hope we finish it off strongly. 🤞🏻
we need to forget about europe at moment need more quality players and get a handle on the injury crisis
Hopefully the summer will sort a lot of those things out.
@@iansmithfootball fingers crossed but we are hampered by ffp
13 points in 7 games. If we get lucky 😊
Probably be enough for a euro spot I think.
@@iansmithfootball last season, 60 points will get you 8th place. This season, 6th if we are lucky, 5th if super lucky
This season started off alright till playing three games a week and injuries started kicking in and then we nose dived. Do we really want European conference league anyway? We'd be better off without it, regroup next season get players fit and maybe a couple of additions then kick on fresh without European involvement and give the league a good go. I think we over achieved last season and got caught out. We have a good squad when fit but we really need to lose some players if we are to improve, players like Longstaff, Dummet, Murphy, Ritchie and maybe Miggy. Don't forget we have Minteh and Tonali coming back. 😊
There is an argument about the conference league which is fair enough. Personally I’d like to see us in it rather than not in any. We’d have to win it though with the squad we have.
& hopefully with a more open cheque book we can strengthen the squad
7th place if we’re lucky, we’ll drop points on games we should win, let’s be real we have no consistency.
Yeah I appreciate that is true but we do have some other players coming back to help with the run in so I’m feeling ok about it
If we don't make it with the matches coming up, oh boy….. :)
Yep, fingers crossed 🤞🏻
the blades played ok vs chelsea, would need to score early to beat them.
Yeah they did. I’m still feeling ok that we’ll beat them at home. But football can always be unpredictable!!
15 points w-d-w-w-w-d-man u -d 🦓
12:30 kickoffs don’t seem to go our way.
Yeah that’s unfortunately true.
Won the last one against West Ham tbf
@@lukeporcher6378 Haha that's a fair point!
Spurs(0) CP(+3) SHU(+3) Burnley(+3) BHA(+3) MU(+1) Brentford(+1~3)
Total: 61~63 / 6th or 7th place in PL
I’d settle for that 👍🏼
@@iansmithfootball Thanks, Lad.
Seeing how spurs played in their last game I’ve got a feeling that we could win or even draw
@@binzy1996 I hope we can draw. I expected defeat because of Son. He's one of the best playmakers and Center-Forwards in PL. He is highly likely to assist or score against us..
@@anzi614 I wasn’t wrong
If we beat Spurs and United we'll get 6th
That’d be huge if we can do that
Big "if" though haha
How can Spurs at home be harder than Spurs or Man Utd away?? Come on mate!!
We don’t have Spurs away left to play.
And Spurs are a better team than Man Utd who have been very inconsistent.
@@iansmithfootball are Spurs still better than Newcastle or even Man Utd??? We are whipping Spurs today mate!!!
I know, I was there! Fantastic. Question now is, can we go unbeaten in the last 6 matches?
@@iansmithfootball I don't see why not! There is only Man Utd really which, on paper should be a tough one, players coming back are a massive boost now.
Squad not good enough we struggled to cope this season with injurys and suspension one of the worst defences I've seen for a long time Eddie's been found out think he's gonna be leaving before the new season with a Golden hand shake new physio team needed badly lastly new stadium to move forwards like others have done if we won't to compete with the big boy's still along way to go before we start thinking about Europe.
My thought is that we have a few players coming back for the run in which should help us and quite a few of the opposition are lower half teams - which should help us. We'll see about Howe - the owners will definitely be analysing it, but I still expect him to be manager next season - but he'll be on a short leash and we'd have to start very well I think.
Very negative.
